    I just found out yesterday that my cholesterol is high, my sugar is high and my blood pressure is high. I'm not an overweight person and I try to eat healthy, But like Bobby says they hide so much crap in our food that you never know what you're eating. Thank you Bobby for making it easy for me to get back on track. Without you I would have spent a thousand hours trying to figure all this out.

    This is Mary on Richard's phone here in Florida. I am trying to eat healthier but when you are on food stamps it can be difficult. When I first investigated thrive market I realized that I can just afford some of the products but the membership which is paid monthly or yearly and the fact that I have to pay money for the food and can't use the food stamps made it a no-go then I found out that thrive will give those with EBT and other programs a free membership for a year now I am able to afford to buy my supplements cheaper than in the stores in my area and I have free delivery so I'm not driving around spending money that way check it out it's a good deal if you think about adding fuel wear and tear on vehicle maintenance etc etc

At my local Korean grocer I purchase huge bags of unsalted dried kelp fronds and buy distilled water and place some of the fronds in a large mason jar and pour over the distilled water. Cold brew in the fridge for as long as you like. Pour the liquid into a cup or bowl and add a fresh squeeze of lemon. Very nutrient dense (especially for the thyroid) and very tasty too.

    White rice is not much different than brown rice as far as macros go. Brown rice does have more nutrients, however it contains phytic acid which prevents most of the nutrients to be absorbed into the body and brown rice is also much higher in arsenic, because the hull retains most of it. So if you really want white rice go ahead and have it.

At the same time i stopped eatting gluten i also stopped eatting oatmeal. So the other day my job ordered 150 personal pizzas. Typically i would just say no thanks but I said fuck it and enjoyed myself. HMMM felt perfectly fine the next day and yonder. A few days later i bought some organic gf oatmeal. ( havent had oatmeal in 2 years) enjoyed a bowl with some strawberrys... What do you know... I got a headache a few hours later that lasted all day... hmmm maybe a fluke. The next day another bowl of oatmeal with chia and fruit.... MIGRAINE that last about 2 days. I had to leave work early it hurt so bad.... Threw away the oatmeal and havent had a headache since. IM begeinning to think all along my problems stemmed from oatmeal proteins avenin and NOT gluten.

    I've been so terrorized by these food frauds that I get scared if I eat something and it tastes good😳. I buy mainly organic and nonGMO everything. I get the feeling that most of the population is obese and "dull" (can't reason properly) is because they're consuming trash food. Our bodies are struggling to find real vitamins and minerals in our digestive system.

    Each person is different. You have to figure out what works for your body. For myself I fast a lot and stick with non starchy vegetables and wild caught fish and grassfed meats. My bloodwork is excellent and grocery bill not expensive.

    You should review some of the Aldi stores that serve rural areas. I don't think I've seen most of the stuff you review at my local store because they are just too small. The store you are in looks like the biggest supermarket in my area.

    A note on arsenic in rice - all rice in the USA is not equal. Beware of rice grown in the Arkansas, Texas or Louisiana as they have the highest levels of arsenic. California, India or Pakistan test considerably better. One nice thing about Lundberg rice is they post their arsenic tests online (or at least they did - I haven’t checked recently). Sushi rice from the US is also pretty good but then it is white rice so bad for the other reasons Bobby mentioned.

    • @hwyla4416
      @hwyla4416 3 роки тому

      Also rinse your rice well before cooking or cook it in lots of water and drain it like cooking pasta. This helps cut the arsenic that is even in the safer rices. Important to find out the arsenic levels in your water first as that may defeat the purpose of the extra water. I should also add that Trader Joe’s says their frozen rice is from California.
