5 weeks of following your food recommendations and I am officially off pain medication. Autoimmune diseases are affected by foods more than I wanted to realize. Also 10 lbs down.
After removing artificial flavorings I find myself enjoying veggies and fruits more than ever
I love you guys. Keep doing what you do!!!

I'm trying to cook more but even a lot of basic ingredients are contaminated with these chemicals. But thank you Bobby, you really opened my eyes.

@@The.Whoever I'm not sure of the outcome. The center for food safety sued the FDA in 2014 because of harmful chemicals in our food...however the FDA isn't governed by anyone in authority and just like most corrupt organizations they usually find loopholes to get themselves out of trouble. The more people refuse to buy these poisons the more it would force companies to make safer products. I think the only way for us to truly get real food is to regulate it ourselves...don't buy their crap.

Yes thank God the BPA is being removed from a lot of plastic packaging but that doesn't help the other plastics that are left IN packaging still. Canned tuna is not so much about just the can but the tuna itself. Cans are coated with BPA which messes up our hormones and if not coated, they are made of aluminium which has been linked to many diseases including Alzheimers and Austism. Aside from the can, tuna are large fishes that has lots of mercury in them. Another cause for concern. Bottomline, go for glass packaging whenever possible and a smaller fish type over tuna. :)

@@mattlippencott3087 Can you please define what a 'real food' is? Is it something with zero ingredients? I would label that as a whole food. Is it something with calories? Then m&m's are back and stevia is out.. What's the point in labelling every single molecule in a food? Do you know how long a label would be? And for what? You wouldn't even know what they are if they were said. Isoamyl acetate is banana flavoring, aka banana oil. Have you ever read the back of your shampoo bottle and decided that if you didn't know what every ingredient was, you weren't going to buy it? (kudos if you do). Do you know what flavorings even are and how they work? You should try researching before you demonize them. It's funny, never in this video did B. P. ever say why natural flavorings are bad.

    • @AvocadoSmoothiee
      @AvocadoSmoothiee 5 років тому +4

Andrea Hagen i recall him saying that they are bad because they use the base flavor and add chemicals to enhance the flavor and get us hooked on the products.... but idk how the chemicals that enhance flavor harm us. There are a lot of chemical formulas like h2o that are good for you lol I think if u can find it without the nf then go for it but we shouldn’t stress and not enjoy food if it has natural flavor when the rest of the ingredients are clean..

AvacadoSmoothie. Consider this. When researchers need 100 rats to experiment with, they shoot a chemical, any chemical, into the rats. They then have 100 rats with cancer or some other disease to experiment with. CHEMICALS ARE BAD FOR YOU. They do not belong in your mouth. Very dangerous.

We pulled the sparkling water and “natural” zevia soda out of our sons diet who has neurological autoimmune disorder PANDAS. It was a wonderful improvement during our mold exposure detox period. We had attributed certain things to mold exposure that were probably glutamate toxicity from “natural flavors”. Many people don’t realize that msg can be a natural flavor and glutamates can aggravate neurological disorders, depression, and autoimmune disorders. We had eaten GAPS and keto to heal and recover but were at a stall until removing natural flavors and oxalates in addition to healthy diet. Natural flavors are not really natural. It’s like saying fuel or plastic made from corn is natural 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’m so glad to see someone addressing these issues. I’ve been talking about this for several years, but often got a blank stare and people thought I was overzealous. Our son is healing and has gone from barely walking to growing and thriving, so I know this works. Now to heal my thyroid.

The word gospel means “good news,” so the gospel of Christ is the good news of His coming to provide forgiveness of sins for all who will believe (Colossians 1:14; Romans 10:9). Since the first man’s sin, mankind has been under the condemnation of God (Romans 5:12). Because everyone breaks God’s perfect law by committing sin, everyone is guilty (Romans 3:23). The punishment for the crime of sin is physical death (Romans 6:23) and then an eternity spent in a place of punishment (Revelation 20:15; Matthew 25:46). This eternal separation from God is also called the “second death” (Revelation 20:14-15).
The bad news that all are guilty of sin and condemned by God is countered by the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ. God, because of His love for the world, has made a way for man to be forgiven of their sins (John 3:16). He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take the sins of mankind on Himself through death on a cross (1 Peter 2:24). In placing our sin on Christ, God ensured that all who will believe in the name of Jesus will be forgiven (Acts 10:43). Jesus’ resurrection guarantees the justification of all who believe (Romans 4:25).
The Bible specifies the content of the gospel message: “Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time” (1 Corinthians 15:1-6). In this passage, Paul emphasizes the primacy of the gospel-it is of “first importance.” The gospel message contains two historical facts, both supported by Scripture: Christ’s death and His resurrection. Both those facts are bolstered by other proofs: Christ’s death is proved by His burial, and His resurrection is proved by the eyewitnesses.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the good news that God provided the way for man to be freed from the penalty of sin (John 14:6; Romans 6:23). Everyone dies physically, but those who believe in Jesus Christ are promised a physical resurrection unto eternal life (John 11:23-26). Those who reject Christ will not only die physically but will undergo a “second death,” which the Bible describes as an eternal lake of fire (Revelation 20:13-14). Jesus is the only One in whom salvation can be found (Acts 4:12).
The gospel of Jesus Christ is the best news anyone will ever hear, and what a person does with this news will determine where he or she spends eternity. God is calling you to choose life. Call on the name of the Lord and be saved (Romans 10:13).

Sincere rant for help: Something with "100 chemicals" doesn't sound desirable or "natural," BUT if the net effect of those chemicals is to make something addictive BY heightening its positives and inhibiting its negatives, then WHY should I be concerned, especially if I am not particularly prone to addiction? Anything "prepared," including a chef adding just the right spices and cooking techniques, can be made a do-over ("addictive"). On Keto the concern is carbs, hidden carbs, like malodextrin and cassava. Is Natural Flavoring going to interfere with ketosis? Will it cause inflamation? Cancer?!? If all NFs are not created equal, then for sure it is something to be avoided when there is an alternative, or a sense that a particular product is counterproductive; BUT is it really the deal killer when scouting out a keto-friendly alternative to a grocery stocked to the rafters with sugar and wheat? The Frustrated

Look noone is going to argue with you so go eat your chemical laded chemicals that claim they are natural but aren't. There are no positives added. Your pretty correct on the "natural" flavor term and meaning. I can't disclose how but I know quite a bit about "natural flavors and fragrances". Let's agree that the end result is not natural in the slightest way and not only that but the fda will state that "x" amount of any certain foodgrade chemical is safe for consumption. The problem comes when any individual exceeds the tested approved amount. The other items you chose that have ingredients that have powders are not healthy either. Most of which are spray dried extracts with added chemicals. You also have to understand that in each process there are usually added or needed chemicals to perform an (extract) like propylene glycol or alcohol. Spray drying a liquid flavor that was homogenized first into a powder undergoes several processes to get in that bag of chips. It's not accurate to say that it is a safe or healthy alternative to natural flavored foods. Most of the chemicals in our foods not listed or hidden by natural flavors and powders are carcinogenic when consuming ina manner not intended like inhaling a flavor or fragrance when it was made, tested and intended for oral consumption. There is a lot that the public is not informed of.

I love love love this video. I’m vegan and follow many Vegan You Tube channels and time and time again I see people eating food with natural flavors. Even if they are ethical vegans and don’t necessarily care about foods being the healthiest, I saw a blog on The Food Babe about how natural flavor can derive from anything, even an animal. So if these vegans read labels and they see natural flavor, they still eat it. I always stress that the package needs to be labeled vegan also. They can’t assume just by reading an ingredient list.

Naked Juice I remember getting my favorite blue machine and saying hey this is gross what happen? Pepsi brought them and they had a class-action lawsuit over it not being natural anymore. Yeah and Annie's is owned by General Mills and Talenti is owned by Unilever. The bigger the corp, the more regulated and safer the food is. The more stores the food is in, the more regulated and safer the food is. Rosemary flavoring is literally just extracted oil from the rosemary plant. It is generally just used as a flavoring for meats and breads and whatnot so they don't have to use the whole rosemary plant when flavoring their meats.

Hi Bobby, Thank you for exposing what natural flavors means in processed foods. But in organic foods- natural flavors are not the same as in processed foods. They are organic and natural. These flavors must meet strict guidelines for organic. Alot of companies use this as a way to hide their formulas from other companies. I have worked in the health food industry for over 10 years and worked for companies that use natural flavors and know the stringent testing these organic companies have to go through to get the organic certification. You can even call these companies and they will verify their methods. Hope this helps your mission to educate about natural flavors.
