Bobby! You make such a great point about how it is unfair for these companies to think they can charge three times as much for a product simply because they excluded an ingredient. I wish you would talk about this more. You don’t have to spend a lot to get great food in many instances! Love your show!

It's kind of interesting how shoppers will do a bit of research and look at reviews when it comes to most products they buy, but when it comes to food people just pick things up at the grocery store without doing any due diligence at all. This opens consumers up to vast amounts of exploitation which is pretty evident if you really look into the content and quality of our food options. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.

I visited Vital Farms a few years ago. A truly amazing experience to see chickens acting like chickens (in a world of factory farms), living outside and enjoying life. The farmers refer to them as “the ladies” and if they lay eggs that day, great- if not it’s ok!

I called the company who makes those pasture raised eggs you like and they admitted they used GMO feed on that particular product line. They sell other lines that don't use that feed but this one does, at least since I last checked. Yes they are pasture raised but the GMO use turned me off. You really have to check the package labeling out and call the company if in doubt with any product. I called this company over a year ago and don't know if they have changed their policy. Another call would be in order. Otherwise you are supporting GMO feed producers. Keep in mind Whole Foods does not necessarily weed out GMO use in all the products they sell. You have to make sure it is marked as not containing it, otherwise you risk buying GMO. You need to verify that yourself, and continue monitoring to make sure the information on particular products is current. Policies can change without you knowing. Companies can switch back to cheaper GMO use at whim if they have not labeled their product as not containing it. Remember too that non-GMO does not equate to pesticide free.

Yes, it states that on their website. Also turns me off that they do feed them “non processed” gmo corn and soy. Like you said they do offer organic and non gmo eggs, but I can’t find any store in my area that carries them!

    • @joesmith-em2cd

It is deep when the company is bragging about how much healthier their eggs are than the standard conventional or cage free eggs.

@@joesmith-em2cd To me, it is morally deceptive. They are within the law but many, if not most people, are fooled. I ate these eggs for a long time thinking I was doing good and I was not. Now I just go for organic pasture raised. I realize that many people do not have access to those and that is a shame. Sometimes a letter to the store manager explaining why they should offer better quality eggs does the trick and they make them available. They don't want to eat GMO either!

    • @FreckleFinance

Ref 11:15 - 365 Organic almond milk ... yes, good price ... how does it taste though?
I have done a tasting comparison of the two brand name, Silk and Blue Diamond. With the same flavor variety (original, unsweetened, plain), the Silk brand tasted waaaay better ... it has very good and noticeable almond flavor; the Blue Diamond brand is *completely TASTELESS* ... you might as well be drinking plain water.

After working at wholefoods I observed the enormous WASTE and Markup. This company is robbing you STUPID and polluting the world at the same time. I quit Wholefoodsmarket: now I just dumpster dive there and find gems all the time. Jeff Bezos can afford to give every US citizen a house of $200,000. Yet he is selfish and robs people, namely you at the store. Boycott Wholefoods.

Can’t wait for a walmart haul. I’m there a lot because I get my gas at walmart and Latin food by the pound (only in Miami) but rarely groceries.
Please make avocado mayo and ketchup videos.
Took your advice on getting smaller bottles of spices that are fresh. Aldi has insane turnover so it’s pretty fresh.
Note Sams club has their own knock off califa almond milk which is my favorite almond milk and is a real treat.

For those who shop at Trader Joe's, their pasture raised eggs are $3.99 always. I bought pasture raised at my local mart for $6.49, and Bobby was 100% accurate, the egg was super clear. But I'm grateful that I didn't buy multiple, because that same day I ended up at Trader Joe's and saw that their pasture raised eggs are always at $3.99. I plan on viewing other prices at the other grocery stores that I frequent. I'm lucky because not only do we have Costco, Trader Joe's, WholeFoods, Target (3 Targets with two in one town lol!), and Walmart, but we also have soooo many other grocery stores including small ones, so it's nice to be able to comparison shop. I don't think I'll find $3.99 or lower, but the base price for pasture raised seems to be $3.99
