Bobby! You make such a great point about how it is unfair for these companies to think they can charge three times as much for a product simply because they excluded an ingredient. I wish you would talk about this more. You don’t have to spend a lot to get great food in many instances! Love your show!
I appreciate your hard work and putting out these important videos to educate the public on healthy products, healthy recipes keeping our whole family healthy! Keep it coming please!
I was just diagnosed with lupus SLE and refuse to take medications. Watching your videos has taught me so much and I'm learning how to cook different healthy foods . Thank you 😊❤️
Yes!! I swear by the Turneric Tea whenever I make big batch of it my family never gets sick... no exaggerating and I totally prefer to use fresh turmeric.
Thanks for doing the research Bobby! As a working mom, I want healthy meals for my family but sometimes there is confusion on exactly which item are healthy and which are full of ish! Thanks!
Bobby, the more I see you, the more I try your recipes, the more I absolutely adore you!!!! Thank you for another fab video. I thought I'd given up on WF because of the prices, but you may have enticed me back! You've become my go-to chef, kiddo.
It's kind of interesting how shoppers will do a bit of research and look at reviews when it comes to most products they buy, but when it comes to food people just pick things up at the grocery store without doing any due diligence at all. This opens consumers up to vast amounts of exploitation which is pretty evident if you really look into the content and quality of our food options. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos.
Your videos are like a crash-course in budget-friendly grocery shopping...I Love it!! Yes, make a vid on ketchup. What about diy marshmallow recipe? I've seen vegan options but they are expensive. I try to skip on soy
I LOVE the eggs from Vital Farms for pasture raised eggs, or my locally grown pasture raised Seven Sons eggs. They’re really worth the extra coin because the taste is superior to conventional “industrial” eggs.
I visited Vital Farms a few years ago. A truly amazing experience to see chickens acting like chickens (in a world of factory farms), living outside and enjoying life. The farmers refer to them as “the ladies” and if they lay eggs that day, great- if not it’s ok!
I totally agree with ur recommendations, this is where I do my shopping. Through the years of learning and experiencing I have learned what to buy and not buy. I love your videos
I've recently subscribed because my daughter is also subscribed and she said you have e a lot of keto friendly recipes. Love your recipes and your grocery hauls. So helpful. I'd love to see a Fresh Thyme haul. I live in Three Oaks, Michigan, not too far from you. It's. great seeing your family involved in your videos. And Art of course! Keep up them good work.
1) You convinced me to try organic chicken now. 🤔 different flavor. 2) I didn't know spices go bad🙁 time to clean out the spice rack. I'd love you guys to come over to Vegas and go shopping with me here at Smith's. Great excuse to take a Vegas trip🤗
Ohhh I've just seen 2 of your videos but I already love what you do! Please keep them coming. Am so bad with grocery shopping and I know I would get tons of education from your channel.
Wow, this was a wealth of information. I shop at Whole Foods and didn't know half of what you presented. Watched the video for the 2nd time and took notes so I would shop smarter next week. Also, thank you for all recipe references. Would love a ketchup and mayo lesson. Thanks, this was great!
I am a WIC recipient and was super happy when I was able to purchase the organic pasture raised eggs. I grew up on organic pasture raises bc my grandmother who would be 90 if alive that's how she raised her chickens. The taste of the yolk is way richer
I am addicted to this channel! It’s so great that you are educating. So helpful. I shop the same stores and know products really well since I always read and educate myself but still opened many more hacks with you.
These grocery videos are simply great! One of these days I'm going to create a doc of "Buy This...Not That" and "Where" so I can have it with me when I shop. Thank you!
I love these videos. Not only are they informative, they're entertaining and funny. I'm always busy taking notes and have already watched 10 all the way through. That says a lot, since I turn off most UA-cam videos half way through. Lots of good information.
I haven't seen one in your feed, but I'd love to find out how you prepare your BROTHS, how and for how long do you store them ... All the possible benefits! Thanks and congrats on this vid. Essential, down-to-earth stuff! Love from Poland!
Thank you! I requested this type of video because we now have a Whole Foods and picking up “a few things” has cost me almost $100.00 per visit for the last 3 weeks. I buy Amy’s soups at Walmart in PA for $2.18 compared to almost $4.00 at Whole F, so I’m learning. My Walmart also has those Pasta Zero noodles for $2.28 and Maple Hill yogurt for $5.48.
The farmed Salmon at Whole Foods also is fed ground shrimp shells and crill which is rich in nutrients for natural pink coloring. Other supermarkets do synthetic lab produced pink to achieve that color.
So smart Bobby. I just went to a Whole Foods in Reno Nevada. Beautiful store but I felt lost. I totally need this. You are so right about the over priced Primal ketchup!!
Hey Bobby! Can you make a video specifically for vegans? Would be much appreciated. Love all your comparison shopping videos for different foods. Doing a great job!
My local farmstand where I always got my eggs just closed forever. These Vital pasture-raised eggs are the closest thing I've found. I used to pay $6.50 at the farmers market, so six bucks for these is comparable. And they are SO worth it.
Patricia H yes we need that recipe because I actually bought that 6.00 bottle of ketchup because I need to avoid the sugar. 😥. Maybe I missed it I see this video is 3 months ago
Hola Bobby! Looooove your recipes and valuable info.. I am following you in all social media platform!! I will love to learn how to do my own mayo, ketchup and bone broth💓.. besitos a Desi😘
I love how you talked about the chicken meat. How much it is a pound and recipes you have etc.... But the bottom line is it's a dead animal that suffered for your own taste buds. I do like your other tips and where to buy items at other places. Thanks for doing this.
I love grocery store videos like this, thank you:) great info about chicken meat and eggs. I have bought that Sir Kensington brand mayonnaise , its expensive but when I tried to make my own mayonnaise it was a disaster. I would appreciate a DIY mayo video because I want to try again to make mayo. I avoid anything made with soybean oil so I stopped buying Hellmann's brand mayo.
The home made version is much tastier in my opinion. I wish I could replicate the Mayo served with fries from vans on the street in countries like Belgium and Holland.
I've had gourmet chef made mayonnaise, and I think that the Sir Kensington product tastes exactly the same! If you live in the area of Philadelphia-Atlantic City, New Jersey-Delaware Valley, the big regional supermarket chain ShopRite carries it at a much lower price than the Whole Foods in the same region. 😉👍
can you also do a video on cornish hens ducks and quails here in Detroit we have an Eastern Market and I really enjoy the taste of cornish hen since it's naturally a small bird you can prepare it different ways and it's a real nice choice not a lot of GMO I generally get them out of all these I find have a better price for to run something about $7 and something also I would like it if you could do a video on turmeric versus Coumadin wild oregano versus regular cooking Oregano spice and coriander what are some of the benefits of vitamin E pepper Rica and the benefits of Himalayan beige Himalayan pink as well as black salt please do a video on these and also one on wild turkeys
Whole foods has the best music 👌 But you missed the 365 ice cream that's good stuff especially if you get the almond milk Carmel Whiskey 😋😜 Hummus is always on my list I know I can make it and I should but there's isn't that expensive so I buy WF lemon hummus. Yes do the Wal Mart and Sam's club next 👍🏾Lidl/Leedel German grocery store better than Aldi by 3.5points is a favorite for sure.
Another cool tip for Whole Foods is the water station. DON"T spend eight bucks for 16 ozs of peruvian rain water in a box..... You can get a gallon of great water for 99 cents! :) Just saying.
FlavCity with Bobby Parrish it’s cool some have the alkaline water spout that one is 99 cents. Regular reverse osmosis water is just 45 cents a gallon! Lol love my water.
ALLLL your videos are worth to be seen over and over and over! Its too much good info and the cooking videos .... BEYOND AMAZING AND GOOD. Love ur channels, (IG, yt,)💕💕💕💕
After the Trader Joe video, I went straight away and grabbed most of the things he pointed out. I especially now love the Trader Joe's Coconut Aminos sauce. I. Used it on baked chicken and it is delicious
Some of my favorite deals at Whole Foods are ... Evolution cold press green drinks on sale for $3.50 ( Normally sell for $4.99). Avocados are a great deal too...Four avocados For $4.99. Primal chocolate bars ( 100% dark)...Two for $5 (1/2 price on sale all the time) There really are a lot of good deals at whole foods. Some foods are expensive ....just wait for the sales.
Just today I went to the grocery store and I exercised some of your tips...made me out to be a genius😌but i gave credit😆. Really great advice for any grocery list and super hauls👍
Hi Bobby, I have tried the quinoa salad and ground beef hamburgers so far. They are DELICIOUS!!! Thanks for going through the stores and talking what to buy/avoid. Another store to check out will be Fred Meyer (Kroger). I shop there for organic produce and would like to know what else do you recommend from them. Gracias!
Love your advice on selecting the best chicken and how to prepare it. I used to purchase the chubbiest chicken parts and wondered why they had the flavor of packing peanuts. Need to make the Moroccan Chicken soon. Great advice for Whole Foods, Aldi's, and Trader Joe's. Love the meal prep video's. I'm also from the Midwest--hope you weren't out during the insanely "colder than the Antartic" polar vortex Chicago weather!
Don't buy their instant potatoes. Everytime I get them they have bugs in them. Shop Trader Joe's, much better all around. Plus they always have plenty of free fresh hot coffee and a bite to eat. ALDI'S is also a great store. ☕🍽
Thank God Sprouts has opened in my area. I am now one of their biggest consumer. Their spices and all their bulk items are the best in flavor and freshness. So many specials every week. Seafood and Meat selection is top notch and very fresh too. Boneless chicken thighs were $1.99 per lb. Their poultry is best priced and flavor is not to be believed.
I called the company who makes those pasture raised eggs you like and they admitted they used GMO feed on that particular product line. They sell other lines that don't use that feed but this one does, at least since I last checked. Yes they are pasture raised but the GMO use turned me off. You really have to check the package labeling out and call the company if in doubt with any product. I called this company over a year ago and don't know if they have changed their policy. Another call would be in order. Otherwise you are supporting GMO feed producers. Keep in mind Whole Foods does not necessarily weed out GMO use in all the products they sell. You have to make sure it is marked as not containing it, otherwise you risk buying GMO. You need to verify that yourself, and continue monitoring to make sure the information on particular products is current. Policies can change without you knowing. Companies can switch back to cheaper GMO use at whim if they have not labeled their product as not containing it. Remember too that non-GMO does not equate to pesticide free.
Yes, it states that on their website. Also turns me off that they do feed them “non processed” gmo corn and soy. Like you said they do offer organic and non gmo eggs, but I can’t find any store in my area that carries them!
@@joesmith-em2cd To me, it is morally deceptive. They are within the law but many, if not most people, are fooled. I ate these eggs for a long time thinking I was doing good and I was not. Now I just go for organic pasture raised. I realize that many people do not have access to those and that is a shame. Sometimes a letter to the store manager explaining why they should offer better quality eggs does the trick and they make them available. They don't want to eat GMO either!
Ref 11:15 - 365 Organic almond milk ... yes, good price ... how does it taste though? I have done a tasting comparison of the two brand name, Silk and Blue Diamond. With the same flavor variety (original, unsweetened, plain), the Silk brand tasted waaaay better ... it has very good and noticeable almond flavor; the Blue Diamond brand is *completely TASTELESS* ... you might as well be drinking plain water.
Yay, Bobby! I'm happy you did this video on WF, great info as usual! And I've been meaning to say happy new year, even though it's kinda late now. And congratulations on all your new subscribers. You're almost at half a MILLION, way to go!
After working at wholefoods I observed the enormous WASTE and Markup. This company is robbing you STUPID and polluting the world at the same time. I quit Wholefoodsmarket: now I just dumpster dive there and find gems all the time. Jeff Bezos can afford to give every US citizen a house of $200,000. Yet he is selfish and robs people, namely you at the store. Boycott Wholefoods.
@@rb7454 i work at whole foods. wow. i also noticed they are super wasteful. im not even sure they compost tbh. but what do you mean about the huge markup and the selfish jeff bezos guy?
Wish we had this kind of choice in Toronto , Canada. Your prices and variety at Costco, Walmart and Whole foods are far better . Thank you for introducing products and demystifing food labels . Thanks for great videos.
Can’t wait for a walmart haul. I’m there a lot because I get my gas at walmart and Latin food by the pound (only in Miami) but rarely groceries. Please make avocado mayo and ketchup videos. Took your advice on getting smaller bottles of spices that are fresh. Aldi has insane turnover so it’s pretty fresh. Note Sams club has their own knock off califa almond milk which is my favorite almond milk and is a real treat.
For those who shop at Trader Joe's, their pasture raised eggs are $3.99 always. I bought pasture raised at my local mart for $6.49, and Bobby was 100% accurate, the egg was super clear. But I'm grateful that I didn't buy multiple, because that same day I ended up at Trader Joe's and saw that their pasture raised eggs are always at $3.99. I plan on viewing other prices at the other grocery stores that I frequent. I'm lucky because not only do we have Costco, Trader Joe's, WholeFoods, Target (3 Targets with two in one town lol!), and Walmart, but we also have soooo many other grocery stores including small ones, so it's nice to be able to comparison shop. I don't think I'll find $3.99 or lower, but the base price for pasture raised seems to be $3.99
Saw too many kids and adults contaminate the bulk bins with their bare hands, plus tongs were rarely cleaned. Rats were found regularly quiet evenings at Whole Foods bulk bins in Georgetown, DC and Tenleytown, DC. Modern packaging - I'm in!
Oh dear! It is like people putting their 'paws' into nuts at a bar. As I have Celiac disease I dare no use Bulk Bins anyway for fear of cross contamination. Do WF not provide a small shovel? I enjoy your videos.
In a different grocery store I once saw a woman at the self-serve soups take a ladle full of soup from the pot, taste about a mouthful then put the ladle with the remaining soup in it back into the pot. Sometimes I don't understand people at all!
I don't do any fad diets. I'm simply trying to eat healthier. Cleaner purer meat mainly. And eggs. You're videos are so easy to watch and understand. Thank you. I'll start buying organic simple truth almond milk at Kroger.

Also, I love getting my bones from Whole Foods to make my bone broth, do you have a video on that? Where you get your bones, best bones, etc.?
Remember too that non-GMO does not equate to pesticide free.
crossclaim1 it’s not that deep
Yes, it states that on their website. Also turns me off that they do feed them “non processed” gmo corn and soy. Like you said they do offer organic and non gmo eggs, but I can’t find any store in my area that carries them!
It is deep when the company is bragging about how much healthier their eggs are than the standard conventional or cage free eggs.
Just recently checked their website and it's the same. However I am not against GMOs so I'm totally fine with the regular kind.
Ref 11:15 - 365 Organic almond milk ... yes, good price ... how does it taste though?
I have done a tasting comparison of the two brand name, Silk and Blue Diamond. With the same flavor variety (original, unsweetened, plain), the Silk brand tasted waaaay better ... it has very good and noticeable almond flavor; the Blue Diamond brand is *completely TASTELESS* ... you might as well be drinking plain water.
i like the flavor, but i should do a side by side ;)
Have we met Art yet? Lol I love your informative videos. The eggs especially.
Awesome video Bobby! Glad you switched to organic almond milk! So glad I found your channel.
Why are you making me so hungry with your cooking 😋
I En Right?!!! I can’t wait to try one of his recipes!
Yay, Bobby! I'm happy you did this video on WF, great info as usual! And I've been meaning to say happy new year, even though it's kinda late now. And congratulations on all your new subscribers. You're almost at half a MILLION, way to go!
I think I just fell in love with Whole Foods all over again 😆😆
reunited and it feels so good!
Be careful out there in the cold!! Just seen a video on the snow in Chicago. Thanks for this video and take care!
Yesss! I just recently went to Wholefoods dropped a coin too many. I can't wait to see what makes the cut
it's easy to spend lots of money there!
@@BobbyParrish Yes, indeed. I am planning to head there next week so I'll make a few swaps and shop the recommendation.

Dude, I live in Chicago about a mile from that Whole Foods. Those prices are crazy high compared to other nearby stores.
Hi Bobby,
Thanks for the information.
Thank you so much for all of your great educational videos about healthy foods. You have enlightened me immensely!!
These videos are so helpful and informative ... thank you 🧡🙏🏽🧡
Wish we had this kind of choice in Toronto , Canada. Your prices and variety at Costco, Walmart and Whole foods are far better . Thank you for introducing products and demystifing food labels . Thanks for great videos.
Looking forward to this video
Edit: Whole Foods is cool. My son loves their frozen corn & carrots.
I hope you enjoy!!
FlavCity with Bobby Parrish thank you so much & I know I will
Can’t wait for a walmart haul.
Note Sams club has their own knock off califa almond milk which is my favorite almond milk and is a real treat.
gotta check out sams!
Can you do a video on Sprouts!! What to get and what to avoid.
I don't think I'll find $3.99 or lower, but the base price for pasture raised seems to be $3.99
Just saw you in my newsfeed.
Subbed!
More vegan content please thank you!!
thanks so much!
Amen on the Vital Farms huevos! Started getting them about 6 month ago, glad they are popping up at more stores around here!
Waiting for Fresh and Thyme too 😁
I second this!
we have two in chicago, i am on it!
Yassss!! Can’t wait for this one! Thanks Bobby.
@@BobbyParrish Elston please, so I know which aisle to go too. So far you go to all my stores so we are definitely neighbors LOL
Saw too many kids and adults contaminate the bulk bins with their bare hands, plus tongs were rarely cleaned. Rats were found regularly quiet evenings at Whole Foods bulk bins in Georgetown, DC and Tenleytown, DC. Modern packaging - I'm in!
Bobby I was shopping in the bulk bins once and saw a lady put her hand in the bin. So now I’m very choosy what I get out of them.
that does not surprise me..at least it was not me!! i use a plastic baggie ;)
I only get stuff the bulk bins that pour out from a spout for that exact reason
Oh dear! It is like people putting their 'paws' into nuts at a bar. As I have Celiac disease I dare no use Bulk Bins anyway for fear of cross contamination. Do WF not provide a small shovel? I enjoy your videos.
Same here. I saw a kid getting almonds with his hands, putting some in his mouth and the rest back in the bulk bins.
In a different grocery store I once saw a woman at the self-serve soups take a ladle full of soup from the pot, taste about a mouthful then put the ladle with the remaining soup in it back into the pot. Sometimes I don't understand people at all!
Wow I can't believe how bland my food was till I started using your recipes! Soooooo delicious!!
Bobby, can you show us how you dethaw meat please?
I don't do any fad diets. I'm simply trying to eat healthier. Cleaner purer meat mainly. And eggs. You're videos are so easy to watch and understand. Thank you.
I'll start buying organic simple truth almond milk at Kroger.
I saw your audi with “flav city” license plates
ha, right on!!!
