I am type2. My a1c comes in around 6 (6.1 this week). I eat plant based, cook my own food. Dropped over sixty pounds with this way of eating and moving- I am old so I walk in hilly streets of my neighborhood. I do watch grains, flour, etc - beans and nuts and tofu much safer. Just cook your own healthy food and move! Love and light for everyone here.
Insulin dependent diabetic now for over 22yrs after getting diagnosed in my 20's....but you just taught me more in 23 min then any Dr or dietitian has in 22yrs matey...!! Can't thank ya enough my man...!
I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in January 2022. Because of videos like yours, I have successfully reversed diabetes in 3 months. I know there is more work to do to be truly healthy but I just wanted to thank you for showing me the options.
@@sabrini99 First, I got myself a continuous glucose monitor. You just wear it in your arm and scan it every few hours. It really helps to know how your blood sugar reacts to which foods. Then I severely cut my carb intake (probably from around 700 g per day to 60 g per day) and increased my fat intake. And I did not feel hungry all the time like I did with other "diets." I also fasted 16/8. I lost 60 pounds with almost no exercise that I've kept off for a year now and I'm not on any medications and my a1c is currently 5.5. No more diabetes. To be completely transparent, when I was diagnosed, my a1c was 7.1 and I was only on metformin for about 3 weeks. If you've been diabetic longer, take it slow and don't go off your medications without speaking to your doctor. Also, check out Dr. Ken Berry on UA-cam.
@@Sedijoyque55 My meals are basically keto. When my blood sugar goes to low, which it does occasionally, I might add a half of a potato which doesn't seem to upset my system like other grains and starches.
My precious Gand baby was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Thank you so very much for food ideas that she can eat. She is only 7 so we have so much to learn - love her dearly & hoping she will lead a happy, healthy life. So blessed that technology has made pumps that make dealing with this horrible disease better for children with diabetes. Bless realize, Bobby, that little children need your expertise too.😍
so much I did not understand about ingredients. 2017 I went into icu with a stroke and found out I was diabetic. trying to eat "right" or change habits is so hard when you have no idea what is healthy and what isn't. thank you so much. I consider these videos as good as gold. and since they will help me shop healthier and smarter they will leave money in my pocket. good deal all around.
Thank you for this. I am 70 years young, and have always thought I was eating a healthy diet. You have taught me I was so wrong. I now am reading and re-doing my pantry. I am also pre-diabetic, have Fibromyalgia, as well as Rheumatoid Arthritis. So you are helping me to make better choices, and I really thank you.
If you really interested in how to stop/slow down the Fibromyalgia and the Arthritis check out Dr Ken Berry on youtube and facebook. I've been following him for mine and I can now close my hands and walk again and i'll never eat ANY carbs regularly, I now treat them as a treat couple times a year. Least then I can say when I'll be in pain. Also a1c went from 12 to an A1C at last appointment of 5.6 after 6 months. I was doing the keto with 20 or less carbs and still with that much carb I couldn't get past the pains, 6 months ago I went carnivore, and was amazed at how much the pain reduced, then I took it another step and got rid of all dairy and OMG amazing, now I can close my hands and move my wrists. Those almond milk he is suggesting is terrible for people with Arthritis, it will inflame arthritis. Good luck!
I am diabetic type 2 for over 20 years now KETO Is NOT DIABETIC FRIENDLY!!! They don't talk about all the sodium and how your blood sugar can drop way too much if your in Ketosis Check out SUGAR MD Dr. Erin
@@tonyarenee531 I was a diabetic for as long as i've been married and that is 25 years. I followed the Diabetes Diet and all I got was worse, I was up to an A1C of 12. Then I started with naurpathy and then went to seizures. Doctors kept telling me it because of the diabetes. Wrong, it cuz of the food they say to eat. I found out cuz I came in having seizure and all they gave me was 2 bag of saline solution and I was fine! THen I had a hard time keeping my sugars up for 4 days. That got me curious so started researching. Diabetes is and auto immune issue I learnt. With more research and trying different eating, everything is cured! I started keto, and after about a year my body just moved right into carnivore and now 6 month carnivore and the nodules in my lungs, and thyroid are shrinking, and my a1c as of 2 weeks ago is now at 5.4 i'm aiming for 4.8 :) And when I first started keto I was eating 18 grams of salt that lasted about 2 months then it backed down to 8 grams a day to now I can just sprinkle it on my food. Oh no worries on BP either 125/80...use to be 180/100....Just do some research. Every animal on this planet that means us too, need to have salt. Not the salt in processed foods, our bodies don't know what to do with it. Sorry Keto to carnivore is the ONLY thing a diabetic should be following. Science has already proven that keto to carnivore is the only way a diabetic should eat. Oh besides fasting! Type 1 diabetic are having awesome results using the carnivore/fasting options...huge break through for type 1's The real diabetics....Type 2 is a false flag, they just don't want to tell you it cuz of the junk you put in your bodies, cuz then that woulds ruin the food industry and so on. Gotta keep the old dogma stuff going.
I’m nineteen and was diagnosed with diabetes three days ago. It’s probably type one, and your videos have made me feel so much more prepared for the rest of my life being a diabetic. Thank you so much.
I'm type 2 just diagnosed last year it's sounds crazy it's been amazing how much better i feel knowing and just eating clean it's all up to you it's not what i thought it was
As a life long diabetic (type 1) I have learned to look at glycemic load. That determines how quickly something will cause your blood sugar to rise. Oatmeal might get a bad rap for keto, but is excellent for diabetics because in spite of having 24 net grams of carbs, it has a glycemic load of only 9, which is low and means not only will it digest slowly and have a minimal blood sugar load, but will lower the spikes of carbs eaten after it. You also have to look at resistant starches which are resistant to digestion, resistant starches not only lower blood sugar, they improve insulin resistance and increase digestion. You can even force a starch to become resistant by cooling it overnight in the fridge, or like freezing bread and warming it back up by toasting. it. So it isn't just about carbs for diabetics, it is about glycemic load and how slowly something digests to have a minimal effect on sugar spikes. And you have to be careful of too much animal fat which can cause colon cancer, pancreatic cancer (especially in diabetics), and can even cause diabetes and insulin resistance if you don't already have it.
So grass fed high quality beef tallow is not good? I heard it has CLA and stuff that protects against cancer, so it is actually bad? Or grass fed makes it okay?
Thank you so much for educating people about MALTITOL, not only is it stomach disruptive, it actually has some glycemic load, so it can still spike you.
Love love the diabetic videos. Been diabetic for 20 years. Down to half insulin and medications! Couldn’t of done it without you 😘 thank you! You’re a great teacher!
So glad I came across this video! My bloodwork just showed that I am close to being pre-diabetic. I am trying my best to educate myself on eating the healthiest foods I can to avoid getting diabetes! Thank you ❤
My A1C was at 7.2 a few years ago during the pandemic and now it is down to 5.6% and I ate what I wanted in “moderation!” I exercised and maintained a strict diet 5 to 6 days a week. And I indulged in stuff I like on the weekend. Don’t deprive yourself of your favorite foods. Just be smart and remember it’s all about “moderation and exercise!” This video is informative and it is a good resource to have if you are struggling with diabetes and don’t know where to start. But you don’t have to restrict your favorite snacks and foods 24/7, 7 days a week!
Thank you. I feel the exact same way. Everything in moderation is the key. Once you deprive yourself of something, you want it all the more and are doomed to fail
So true! I lowered my A1c within three months by exercising a few days a week and gave up soda. I mostly have a Mediterranean diet consisting of salads and fish all week- but I indulge in my fav junk foods once or twice a week. Yes, my blood sugar gets annoying at times due to certain stressors or foods but it is not the overall trend.
You can beat it but your diet must change, low to zero carbs, no sugar, low carb veggies, meat, fish. Learn to read labels. Check out Dr Ken Berry. I wish I could go back to pre-diabetic days. Best wishes
I tried the red lental and chickpea pasta. It's horrible. It is better if you cook it longer. I've got two cali-flour crusts in my fridge right now, thank you Bobby! And they come in different flavors! And I got the canned palm sheets! Walmart has a very tasty spaghetti sauce, organic, no sugar. They also have a no sugar, organic ketchup that is delicious.
My husband has been diagnosed as a diabetic. He also has high cholesterol. He has no weight problem and does not need to loose weight. Between the two we are having a difficult time trying to manage or even know what he can eat. I am a typical southern cook. So I am having to re-learn. Thanks for these videos.
Thank you for this! I was just diagnosed as pre-diabetic and was sulking because there didn't seem to be many choices for what to eat in a day. I love knowing I have some good options!! :D
Thank you for this, Bobby. I've been able to control my diabetes via a mostly keto diet with very few carbs, and this adds to my arsenal some options for things I crave. I used to take insulin but haven't had to for well over a year. I love that you do this, keep it up please.
Thank you for this. Ive been overwhelmed trying to read ingredients and sort through all the deceptions. Now I can find some foods to go to when I feel lost.
I make my pickup list while he does video and add them to my healthy list. Between Walmart, Publix, and Amazon, I find what I need. When I splurge, I usually want Native American dried berries from Northwest Foods, so healthy and Native medicinals.
Just diagnosed as severe diabetic (I blame this pandemic). Bingo, I found your channel with information and tips I SO need right now! Please keep it up.
@@PandaOfRed368 , there is enough blame to go around. Some states come completely shut down and citizens couldn't go to work or anything. The media scared people so much that they isolated themselves. Gyms, parks, closed. Supermarkets that were opened, you took whatever what was left. People would call the police on any social gatherings. Then we have all these food and snack companies with misleading descriptions on their packaging. Then we have all this misinformation by doctors, dieticians, nutritionists, personal trainers and other experts about what is and isn't healthy. We have our own cultural groups who don't want upgrade centuries old ethnic cuisine and wonder why health problems is prevalent amongst their group (I'm Haitian. Haitian cuisine high in carbs & sodium). We have a ourselves for only deciding to get healthy when a doctor tells we're at risk or after we acquired a certain sickness. I was prediabetic a few years ago and then beat it by getting into the normal range. Got tested recently and I'm prediabetic again. I know how it happened. I got lazy and started eating out. Fries, tater tots, white bread, home fries, potato chips, fried chicken. Also, let my high blood pressure and cholesterol get out of control. I thought I could exercise my way out of a bad diet. Then I stopped seeing my physician for too long. Luckily, I caught it in time. Now, that I got a second chance, I won't mess this up.
I'd really appreciate a full blown diabetic food haul. I've started keto, but I'm still new to it all. I'm type 1, so I want to avoid sugar and carbs at all costs.
Then let me suggest checking our Ken Berry MD on youtube. Follow his advice and stick to it and you will get your a1c to normal. I started following him about 3 years ago, got brave and went for it. I'll never look back, a1c from 12 to 5.4 normal now! Just go read the comments on his video's that alone should be testimonies enough that this guy knows what he is talking about. Good luck!
I'm nineteen and was diagnosed with diabetes type 2 most likely. Im still very scared and worried about because I might also have PCOS. You have made me feel a little bit better about this whole journey that I'm starting
The more people become aware of what healthy ingredients in food are and they start buying them, the more food manufacture will respond with more products. For now most of us rely on making our own foods with these healthy ingredients. This is especially so here in Canada. Thanks guys for educating all people [not only diabetics]on what healthy ingredients in foods are. I’m not diabetic but I don’t knowing eat sugar or carbs and hope to prevent getting diabetes as it runs my family. Keep up the great work
Wow I bought a bag of the Russell Stover sugar free chocolate thinking it was better because it was “Sugar Free” apparently not!😮 this is why we need these kind of videos! To see what exactly what we’re consuming & how to read the labels!
What we need is a government that isn’t lobbied to death by corporations trying their best to profit off our weaknesses while total ignoring what’s healthy for us. Then again our medical industry isn’t so caring to get us healthy either. It’s just bad for business unlike fentanyl.
Thank you for addressing this. So many have diabetes or pre diabetes. And your education is spot on. It is about the ingredients plus the carbs. Everyone is individual. So each person should test their glucose response to a particular food to see if they tolerate it. You do not need an RX to get a glucose meter or test strips.
Meters are affordable, test strips are a rip off. If you buy a meter, you might get 4-5 test strips with it, but a separate order of test strips costs a LOT!
spread those carbs out through the day, avoid the spikes! Carbs aren't deadly, but the glutting of them surely is. And all sugars and starches are not created equal, fruits and vegs never wreck me. unfortunately, most recommended foods (processed) for Type 2 have other garbage in them.
Another YT channel that may help is "Beat Diabetes" with Dennis Pollock. And check out Dr Ken Berry's interview with Dennis. Dennis also some good diabetic recipes on his YT channel.
Yeah I'm trying to avoid that. Went to the doctor they said I was pre diabetic. Went and got weightloss surgery. My symptoms have disappeared completely
My son (8) was diagnosed back in March of 2021 with Type 1 and his FAVORITE food is spaghetti and having to cut that out has been devastating. Also, pizza always spikes his sugar around 3am so im so freaking happy to find this video. Very helpful and i Can't wait to go shopping tomorrow.
If he likes non-chocolate candy (especially hard candy) go online to look for xylitol sweetened candy. It can be rather expensive but it can be found especially on sites that sell candy to dentist offices. Xylitol is actually good against tooth disease. I also find xylitol sweetened mints to keep in my purse. Again usually must be ordered but not really a lot more money than Altoids. Might check Thrive for them, but I know Vitacost makes them.
You can find 90% dark chocolate many places. Lily's makes keto chocolates. Most cocoa doesn't contain sugar. Many berries are fairly low carb. Stevia, monkfruit and erytheritol are good sweeteners. Eating carbs with fiber makes you absorb fewer carbs.
I used to be addicted to sugar and could not stop eating candy and then I saw a video that it might be due to low potassium and after taking a supplement the cravings went away for me. I still eat candy but don't crave it anymore.
Thanks so much for these videos. Takes me an extra hour every time I go to a new store to figure out what I can and can't have. Your research is appreciated.
What helped me a lot was downloading the apps for several stores (including Walmart which is a place I never shopped until two weeks ago! But their app is useful). Look up some products and check nutrition info and ingredient lists. Some stores have better info than others and if you can’t find info is product in an app, you can google the product for the info.
Just eat beef, salt and water, it don't get any simpler. You eat for pleasure or you eat for health it's your choice, check out Ken Berry MD on youtube.
@@lisathompson5500 Ick! There’s no need to limit yourself that much. Carnivore is certainly a choice that works for some people, but most of us like a little variety. As for Dr Berry, I’m not a huge fan of him and wife, myself. But to each his own.
Type 1 diabetic here, and I just want to say the Rebel ice cream Bobby showed at 17:50 is amazing. It tastes better than a lot of normal ice creams and you cant even tell the difference. I usually have 1-2 servings a day and I found that amount barely affects my blood sugar. I'm so glad I was able to find this snack as I don't feel as bad avoiding desserts. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't before!
N!ck's Swedish ice cream, keto version, is much better than Rebel. Carb counts range from 3 carbs per pint to 9 carbs per pint. The simple chocolate (3 carbs) is my favorite, with the chocolate chip mint next (3 carbs), and cherry chocolate chip (5 carbs) after that. The flavors with brownie bites, chocolate chip cookie dough, and other "loaded" flavors run up to 9 carbs. I prefer the simpler ones. I sometimes put a couple spoonfuls of Spanish peanuts on the chocolate flavor, or nuke a little peanut butter and drizzle it on, or even allow myself a few slices of banana with it. Mixing some organic raspberries, blueberries, or sliced strawberries in the vanilla ice cream, or melting some stevia-sweetened dark chocolate to drizzle over it or sprinkling it with chopped salted macadamias with some melted stevia-sweetened white chocolate. Remember to read the ingredients, and decide what amount is best for you to eat... a regular serving or the whole pint. Always prioritize nutrient-dense, low-carb foods in your main meal before indulging in a N!ck's keto ice cream treat, though, and you should be fine.
Im so glad I found you. 3 days ago I was diagnosed with Syndrome X or metabolic syndrome for high BP, Cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. Its genetic for me, I'm 40 and eat relatively well but have to still make some big changes. Your channel is giving me hope.
Thank you Bobby! I am type 2 diabetic and your info really helps with figuring out what to buy at the grocery. It can be so confusing. Thank you for teaching me how and what to look for on the nutritional labels! I feel more educated now. Hugs.
Yes please I'm a type 2 diabetic and am obese so I would love more of these videos. Thanks Bobby & Brad! I'm a huge fan I watch all your daily stories and videos. Of course I love watching Rose cook. God Bless from Indiana ❤
Tina, Watch Dr. Bergs videos on Diabetes and Insulin Resistance. Start taking Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar. Or any raw unfiltered organic Apple Cider Vinegar. He has a video Everyone with diabetes should take apple cider vinegar. It helps normalize your sugars and you will loose weight.
I reversed my diabetes type 2 with exercise, clean eating. Stay away from carbs, only fruits with low glycemic index, berries and melon. No meat or dairy.
Thank you for that special video but don't forget people can have diabetes and high cholesterol too. What do think about the keto diet for diabetic people?
Bobby you have saved me on the Keto diet. I cannot get Costco delivered, but we drive there a couple times a month. Primal Kitchen products are so good. I used to have to make wings from scratch but you turned me onto their products so I found the wing sauce. It is great! Actually, I love all their products so far. I've been able to stay on Keto for 2 years because of your help. Then I found Sola Bread and it keeps on track when I am dieing for a sandwich or toast. Keep shopping!
Such a great video for diabetics. You were so knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you so much. I enjoyed this video, it will make my life easier and help me to make good choices as a diabetic.
Bobby, I am diabetic and struggle with what is good and what is bad for me. Do you have a list of diabetic friendly foods, ingredients, etc and/or what to avoid? Thank you for all you do!
Hi. If he is still around, Beat Diabetes! is a good channel. While he is not as health food & Keto/Paleo oriented as Bobby, I think you might learn a lot from him.
It would be great to do a video on foods avoid/safe for people with Digestive issues (GERD, IBS etc). I know what to stay away from and not eat but I do have an occasional reaction to some foods that shouldn’t cause me problems but ultimately does.
My bf has diabetese soi love helping him choose better options. While i was working a lady told me about bobby approved and showed me what it does. Im so thankful❤️
Bobby I'm 62 years old and I'm still not able to read or understand ingredients. I'm finding that when I go grocery shopping that I'm not buying much. I'm really learning a lot from you. Thank you
Very helpful! I'd caution that I've previously done keto unsuccessfully because I deluded myself that "as long as it's keto, I can eat whatever I want.." I'm much more successful this time because I track calories. Maybe some people can do lazy keto, but I really need to make myself accountable calorie-wise.
71 yo diabetic here with a high A1C several years ago, now off meds and off keto (within reason). I now eat a high carb and low fat diet, all simple carbs without starches. Last several annual A1C’s 5.2 to 5.5. For me, the key was weight loss, weight maintenance and alcohol cessation. I’m diabetic but it doesn’t affect me very much now as long as I eat naturally and include NO prepared foods of any kind.
Good Morning Bobby and Brad! Thanks so much for this! This is a valuable video for anyone with diabetes and will help a lot of people with the decisions they make when they go shopping. Have a great day!
What about diabetics with gastroparesis diet please i cant win lol only found this channel and have gotten more info here then i have from any doctors dieticians many thanks 😊
My Walmart doesn’t have Siete or Unbun, either. They do have the Ezekiel English muffins, but they’re still too high for me at 12 net carbs. Maybe I could do an open faced breakfast sandwich using them...
I was just diagnosed as a diabetic a few weeks ago So now I'm changing my diet and searching for different ways of preparing my meals I've started on a low carb life change and did not know you can subtract things from the total carb amount - fiber content and erythritol (? not sure how it's spelled). So, you've taught me a few things in this video, I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with the world, a lot of us have no idea where to start. Thank you!
Love this video! Dos anyone knows how to math the carbs vs fiber ? How to to lower the carb net? I am pre diabetic just one number away to become diabetic. I am scared 😮
Americans food manufacturers are to blame to poison and sicken Americans. I don’t like all kinds of chocolates, processed foods, canned foods including canned coffee and any drinks. I don’t have a habit of drinking milk. I started a little while ago but I didn’t like it at all. I like my organic black coffee and sometimes I mix organic black coffee and black tea.
I feel the need to address this. I've noticed Bobby has always put down palm oil. Now the reason there is a stigma when it comes to palm oil is because it's usually processed to all get out. Now I've been buying and using unrefined palm oil for years which is rich in carotenoids. Otherwise known as vitamin A. It's amazing for your skin as well. Or you can buy dende oil otherwise known as red palm oil which is used in a lot of African dishes and that's even better for you unrefined than regular palm oil unrefined. Bobby please take a look at these two oils unrefined please? The health benefits are astounding!
Thank you for the video it motivated me to do better when it comes to my diet which all my life has terrible I'm diagnosed pre-diabetic The worst part in trying to get better is not knowing what to eat so I need a lot if help 😩
My husband just received news that he is a diabetic. So much to learn, your video was very informative. Thank you! Looking forward to seeing more, and getting educated on what we should be eating now. ❤️
I don’t eat meat, but there are good GF vegan veggie burgers I can eat like Hillary’s and Dr. Praeger’s. I like to just heat up the burger in the oven (no stove available) and add my condiments and such without bothering with bread or bun many times. It’s like the Almond Joy/Mounds commercials, “Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t”. Sometimes I feel like bread or buns, sometimes I don’t!
Put him on beef, salt and water, Cholesterol goes up when to much carbs/veggie/sugar are eaten. The body has a bucket once the bucket gets full the body can no longer keep up and starts backing up, causing all kinds of issue one of them is high cholesterol. Dr Stephiane Seniff said in her research she is finding the cholesterol is actually the band-aid for the arteries and got a bad rap cuz they always found it in the arteries so they blamed it, but in actuality cholesterol was always there cus it was patching up the damage that sugars cause. Want to learn more about cholesterol how important it is look up Ken Berry MD on youtube.
I’ve recently found your wonderful channel and have been binge watching. I’m 63 years old and didn’t know I was eating so badly. I have IBS and follow the low fodmap diet but would love to see you cover low fodmap. Thank you so much. Rose is so stinking cute💕
I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes last week. I am so glad I came across your channel. I am meeting with a dietitian this week. I have so many questions. Thanks for showing us that we can eat healthy food that actually tastes good and what to look for on the food labels.
Thank you for all that you share. I share your videos to everyone in the grocery store. All I ask is when you show us a product that is good, please let us see it a little longer. I take a picture of it so I can buy it but if you move too fast while you’re talking, I can’t get the picture. Thank you so much you are a blessing to many people and me.
Yes I feel so overwhelmed 😪. Just found out I have diabetes and trying to figure out what to eat and nt eat, NT EASY. NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE IN THIS SITUATION SMH
@@Amya56454 The basic rules I have learned that has helped me lower my numbers besides the obvious things was... MOVEMENT - I at least do a walking UA-cam exercise video everyday. EATING GREEN - I eat something green with every meal. Even Breakfast. Meals 2 to 1 - 1 part protein and double my portion of low carb veggies. WATER - I can't enjoy my 1 can of Zero soda (it is my sweet substitute) if I have not finished 8 cups of water first. Don't get too stressed about it. Just take positive steps as many times in a day until your habits have changed to support you dropping your A1C. 🌞 YOU CAN DO THIS! 😃😊
Love this Bobby! I love it when you branch out into these specific categories. Any chance you can dive into Fatty Liver friendly foods and/or low-sodium diets
Thank you for this video please do more of these. Even for people that aren’t diabetic these are great choices. I didn’t know about all these sugars. Glad to see what Walmart has to offer.
I am type one diabetic and have been for 14 years, I'm very into nutrition and love how educational you are and showing us what we can eat as a healthy alternative! I also love that you educated on the ingredients list as well. Super helpful! Keep it up!
Thank you Bobby for educating the masses. There's so much deception ìn foods these days that people spend more money trying to be healthy not knowing the garbage food companies put in their products. It should NOT be legal to do so.
It should not be legal I agree. It's interesting how in other countries so.e of thw chemicals are illegal, but in the US they still put it in our food. Or they simply use cheaper alternative so thier product is cheaper... its sad...
This is awesome! I went from being prediabetic to diabetic as of February 14. So now I really need to get back on track with eating better food. Getting rid of the wheat. .. I love this video. So informative, especially the education about how wheat shoots your sugars.
Never cared much for sugary things until I knew I couldn’t have it. I’m now pre-diabetic. I tried to stop cold turkey. Did it for four days and then went off the deep end. I’m hoping that I can try to follow along with what you just showed us Bobby. I’m a Costco shopper but was just gonna run to Walmart, then thought “no there’s nothing I can get there” wala! you put up a video. Ty
Love this channel, I have learned so much and shared the info with my family. I went grocery shopping yesterday scanning every item I picked up with the “Bobby approved” app. My husband said… “why can’t we get that cheese”… I said “because it’s not Bobby approved” … lol.
Great video! I have a relative who is on dialysis and the diet is pretty vague and confusing. They want to improve their kidney health to one day stop getting those treatments. If not too much trouble could you perhaps do a video on something like that? Foods to improve kidney health etc : )
I wish you would do a video on foods for people with high blood pressure. It seems like I can’t win for loosing when it comes to either lower sodium or lower sugar. Most food have one or the other but not both and it gets difficult. Thank you.
It’s tricky for sure. The biggest thing for blood pressure is weight and stress. If you loose enough wait to get within your BMI, your blood pressure will get normal unless there are other complications. I lost weight and my BP went normal. I went off two meds. It still rises sometimes but only when I’m stressed or if I eat a high salt food.
In my experience, being strict with buying and consuming ONLY the best, organic oil and fat options, along with huge reduction in sugars&carbs and skipping the fake sweeteners is the way to go. A lot of us with stubborn high blood pressure also need to do various methods to detox our bodies from stored toxins and undigestable crap we've eaten and absorbed over time. Give it a year, yes a year, and add in physical activity as you go. You can do it!
You should also pivot away from anything with high salt unless it's healthy salt. Any commercial salt, ie Mortons iodized, is terrible for blood pressure. You can have and cook with good salt.
I can't thank you enough!!!...I'm a foodie and food is a big part of my mixed Asian culture. It can feel devastating when you realize you can't eat the same foods anymore. But I am slowly learning to tweak and sub some healthier ingredients so that I can remake our family favourite recipes. I feel more hopeful and educated from listening to you!
My husband is type 2 and he was awful at checking his blood sugar and he always craved sugar, sugar, sugar. My mom is 81 and she has been type 2 for very long time and she is in a nursing home but she has always craved sugar. But she ate the sugar and then took insulin shot. My husband is now in the hospital after a severe work injury where he fell 30 feet and ended up needing emergency brain injury. He woke from a coma on day 16 which was yesterday. He knows me and our kids but can’t show 2 fingers. After rehab, I need to keep his diabetes in check. Thank you for your video.
My latest blood work says I have insulin resistance. This video has really opened my eyes. It's insane how so many bad choices are allowed in the market. Like you said It's Loco en la cabeza. Thank you for all the great information you are sharing. You got a new subscriber

I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in January 2022. Because of videos like yours, I have successfully reversed diabetes in 3 months. I know there is more work to do to be truly healthy but I just wanted to thank you for showing me the options.
Oh my goodness, teach me!
Great happy for you,can you please tell me your meals
Way to go on the reversal. This dude is so helpful. Happy to hear that he helped you.
Bless realize, Bobby, that little children need your expertise too.😍
I'm french and I live the same thing that you, It is so hard to see my daughter living this. Bon courage, wish you will have the strenght for her.
so much I did not understand about ingredients.
I really hope the changes you make help your RA and fibromyalgia. Best of luck to you!
Good luck!

Carnivore diet can reverse diabetes.
I just got told by my doctor I'm in the pre-diabetic zone. You sir are a lifeline for me trying to fix my diet.
spread the carbs out through the day. Prevent the spikes, it's key.
Lots of good info thank you marcusw7418!
You saved my life Bobby. You taught me so much about food. You’re the dad I never had. Thank you thank you
Love love the diabetic videos. Been diabetic for 20 years. Down to half insulin and medications! Couldn’t of done it without you 😘 thank you! You’re a great teacher!
Thank You so much for thinking of diabetics. So appreciative ❤️

Just listen to Dr Fuhrman, or read his book eat to live, or no more diabetes. He has many books on the market
If only that approach worked for everyone! I have to be super strict all the time.
I use Ezekiel muffins (sprouted grain)as burger buns and also for breakfast with kite hill cream cheese instead of a bagel!!
Thanks I'm going to try that

I tried the red lental and chickpea pasta. It's horrible. It is better if you cook it longer. I've got two cali-flour crusts in my fridge right now, thank you Bobby! People would call the police on any social gatherings. Then we have all these food and snack companies with misleading descriptions on their packaging. Then we have all this misinformation by doctors, dieticians, nutritionists, personal trainers and other experts about what is and isn't healthy. I was prediabetic a few years ago and then beat it by getting into the normal range. Got tested recently and I'm prediabetic again. I know how it happened. I got lazy and started eating out. I wanted to try that too!
What we need is a government that isn’t lobbied to death by corporations trying their best to profit off our weaknesses while total ignoring what’s healthy for us. Then again our medical industry isn’t so caring to get us healthy either. It’s just bad for business unlike fentanyl.
Sugar free is so deceiving when they add artificial sweeteners

Thank you for addressing this. So many have diabetes or pre diabetes.
And your education is spot on. It is about the ingredients plus the carbs. Everyone is individual. So each person should test their glucose response to a particular food to see if they tolerate it. You do not need an RX to get a glucose meter or test strips.

LOL... Your husband is like me. I am not diabetic, but I am addicted to sugar. But sometimes I can stay up to 3 months without eating anything sweet.

I really appreciate that you’re highlighting foods for me, I’m trying to change the way I eat!

Ick!
Rebel really is very good but icecream every day. Especially very high fat icecream isn't good for anybody. It should be an occasional treat.
Don't eat it every day
I wonder what that pizza tastes like? The box might taste better. Lol

@@havalopez thank you so much yes I am struggling with my kids both my boys has high cholesterol just recently found out.
Type 2 can be reversed. Please watch Dr Jason Fung vids. He explains everything in a down to earth way.
Can't always reverse type 2. I am on insulin for many years due to barely producing any insulin on my own.
Love this video. I'm not diabetic but am pre-diabetic so this helps a lot!!!
Thank you for doing videos about Diabetic options. This is so helpful. It is so confusing especially when you are trying to eat clean.
I’m glad I found this video. I’m newly diabetic type 2. Thank you for all this information and choices!
Excited for this topic, I am a type one diabetic going on 24 years
U need ginger and alpha Lipoic acid
B complex
Thank Bobby for enlightening our knowledge in healthy products. It has made a big difference in our eating habits. ALL GOOD 😊
I am type one diabetic and have been for 14 years, I'm very into nutrition and love how educational you are and showing us what we can eat as a healthy alternative! I also love that you educated on the ingredients list as well. Super helpful! Keep it up!
How do you get offSplenda? I’m addicted.
I am so thankful for this video. I was so lost in choosing the right low-carb, diabetic-friendly food. I am so glad to have stumbled on your video!!
YOU ARE AN EXCELLENT COMMUNICATOR !!
Thanks for doing a show focused on diabetic foods :-)
My Walmart has the Lily’s chocolate in the candy and baking section. FYI if u can’t find it. The little baking chips are a good sweet fix!
Thank you Bobby for educating the masses. There's so much deception ìn foods these days that people spend more money trying to be healthy not knowing the garbage food companies put in their products. It should NOT be legal to do so.
thats why we do it!
Hi, could you recommend a bread for like toast or sandwiches?
It should not be legal I agree. It's interesting how in other countries so.e of thw chemicals are illegal, but in the US they still put it in our food. Or they simply use cheaper alternative so thier product is cheaper... its sad...
The food industry has been poisoning Americans for decades by putting High Fructose Corn syrup into Everything! It's even in baby formula! 😖

This is awesome!
I went from being prediabetic to diabetic as of February 14. So now I really need to get back on track with eating better food. Getting rid of the wheat. .. I love this video. So informative, especially the education about how wheat shoots your sugars.
Thank you so much for this. As a new Type 2 diabetic and a young 27 year old. I also have Hashimoto's Thyroiditus. KEEP IT GOING!!
Ty
Keto/carnivore can save your life

@@sandyk7611 Good luck to you. That really sucks. I have a gluten sensitivity and that’s why I started keto/carnivore.
@@sandyk7611 Also, there is meats out there that doesn’t have beef.
@@justinevans2118 I don’t do pork. Chicken. Fish, yes. What’s next? ? Im not a wealthy person.

Love this channel, I have learned so much and shared the info with my family. I went grocery shopping yesterday scanning every item I picked up with the “Bobby approved” app. My husband said… “why can’t we get that cheese”… I said “because it’s not Bobby approved” … lol.
Thank you so much I just found out I have diabetes I love all ur videos ur helping me so much
Just getting diagnosed, just finding you, appreciate you so much, looking forward to learning more!
Love these videos!!! So helpful!! Sometimes it’s hard to decipher through what’s good and what’s not!!! Totally appreciate these videos!
Thanks so much for this video. I'm T1DM, for 48 years. Still learning.
This was awesome I’m a Diabetic and I never know what to eat this is great I’m gonna go to your market now thank you
Thanks for all you guys do! I have learned so much from you!
Check out key's kitchen on youtube. She does Asian low carb, keto FRIENDLY, and diabetes friendly Asian goods.
Love these diabetic video.
