Bro never ever think your videos are going to be long just take your time. I can just sit and watch 1 hour of you showing these things in maya. This was really helpful and please don't ever skip anything just make it as long as you can and i don't think anybody would complain. Thank you so much!
After years of struggling with topology, yesterday I found this channel since then I cannot stop watching. Your videos helped me a lot, thank you for sharing them.
Thank you for the great explanations, and the perfect detailed examples. And thank you for the time you took to teach your way of doing Boolean. Honestly I'm so grateful I have found your well informed channel on Maya Modelling
booleans have always seemed foreign to me, so thank you for making them far more understandable! id love to see you make a tutorial for using text and SVGs in models(ive been using booleans but i constantly run into problems lol. id also like to see something on sculpting basics, preferably in maya or mudbox(but preferably mudbox)
Hi there, yes, you want to make sure to 'Merge Vertices' after running a Boolean to make sure it merges loose vertices not merged in the Boolean operation. Hope that helps!
Hey do you know any solution for this when ever I tried to make hole using Booleans after retopo, it was created some unwanted edges/faces under faces how do I resolve? Please let me know if you know.
I am from a MAX background, sometime the vertex would become "weird" after the boolean operation, you can't wield it or do anything with it, deleting it is the only option, then you would have many holes in your model that are no point to fix and want to die, that why I kinda hate boolean, that why I come here to learn, it Maya, but I need to learn maya too anyway, so cheers
When I worked in Max, that would happen when there would be manifold or lamina faces. If you clean those up, you'll be able to do your regular modeling operations.
My gosh, it is too time consuming and painful...thats why I transfer from Maya to blender for modeling, Boolean and N-gon is much better in Blender than in Maya

That's the plan, more to come!
Awesome tutorial as always
I had a question is it mandatory to merge vertices all the time we do some boolean??
Or it is a part of the process
