- Demontage and reassembling a Pneumtic Rave 2 at a Rotax 122 cylinder. Also fitting some new set of springs to it.
I made this video because some guys asked me for it.
I apologize because some parts of the video are a bit out of focus. I remade some of the video but couldn't done the whole one but I think the important parts are still visible. - Авто та транспорт
Hello! I have an Aprilia MX 125 with a powervalve that isn t mounted on the cylinder and it is not very good(it s opening at 10k rpm) so the engine is struggling to accelerate. I f i get a rave 2 pneumatic do i have to get some system for it or just put it on the cylinder(i already have the hole). Thanks!
Hi, you'll just need to install the Rave 2, it doesn't need any electric. 😎
@@malamutebikes1340 thank you!
Hi, would it be possible to mount a rave 2 powervalve to a 2006-2011 engine?
Yes, if it is a Rotax 122 engine and the hole is drilled.
@@malamutebikes1340 how do I identify what engine I have?
@@mathiaswaardal4382 Usually it's marked with "Rotax 122" on the left engine side right next to your cylinder.
Thank you! It’s a 2006 type: PY, and it has a rotax 122. I however do not think it has a predrilled hole since I bought it completely restricted. Do you think this pneumatic powervalve would be justifiable?
@@mathiaswaardal4382 If you have no Rave at all installed I would recommend it.
Hey, why do u need to drill a hole and how deep does it have to be
Hello, the hole have to go all the way down to the outlet because it need the exhaust gases to open. In low revvs the exhaust gases aren't as much but in higher revvs it's getting 'stronger and stronger' and so it opens the rave (moves the valve/slider out of the outlet). In that way you will have enough power in low revvs and the whole lot in high revvs.
@@malamutebikes1340 Is the hole in the cylinder wall or "inside" the exhaust port (Concidering purchase) thanks in advance
@@Oceam The hole gets into the outlet for the exhaust. Once you have the gasket you will know where to drill. 😉
@@malamutebikes1340 Thanks alot! I thought i had to hone the cylinder and stuff🙂
@@Oceam You are welcome. No, that's not necessary. 😎
Ciao dove recupero quei due coni per mettere la molla ?
Hi, I bought mine at www.pjme.co.uk
Need help mine keeps sticking my blade
Does it keep sticking in the cylinder or does it even not move properly when removed from the cylinder?
In case one you probably need a proper clean up of the cylinder slide hole and of the slide itself.
In case two you might need a proper clean up of the holes for the exhaust gases, the inner rubbers (you might need some need springs) and/or some new rubbers because it might be broken/got holes.
If you want to, write me at Facebook (@malamutebikes) I might could respond more easier to your questions.
@@malamutebikes1340 thanks for your reply its sticking in the cylinder i have bought new blade everything works fine when not fitted just when fitted its stuck
You from uk
Without seeing any pictures it's hard to tell. But if I had to guess, I would say, the slit for the slider at the cylinder might need some attention (maybe cleaning, maybe to tight...).
No mate, I'm from Germany.
