Thanks for the info on the powervalve, gave me confidence to have a go myself.
Thanks for the Kind words hope it all goes well for you
great tips mate greetings from wales
Brilliant little vid mate well done really clear n very helpful
Where did you find a rave 3?
De mon temps on bloquait la valve d'échappement en position ouverte... Moins de pêche mais plus de vitesse de pointe, un bon carburateur de 34mm et allumage Cdi débridé, une bonne ligne Arrow et c'est top 👌👍
Sorry but I can't understand what you're saying but hope you like the video
i think my powervalve is broken as well, becase at around 7k rpm the power wont come out. thank you very much for the video:)
could be restricted as when they are they dont have aa powervavle nuematic or not this is when they are limited to 15bhp for 17yr olds for uk well if its legal
Hope this can help me I recently installed a new power valve and solenoid but the bike is struggling to rev over 8000 rpm. Hopefully the valve just needs adjusting
Most likely or cable is snapped
I have the same problem but mine is bc of the Cdi (?) that is locked
Yes I you have a restricted CDI you will need to unrestricted it
@@ashthersguy1787 thats just making a hole in it right?
No you need to cut a strip out of it I'll try get a videos for you
Can you explain more the adjustment step.. from the moment you said we push it in.. and the
So what you need to do is push the solenoid all the way back till it gets to the stopping point pull it out to the required measurement and adjust the Adjustment nuts to take the slack out of the cable hope this helps if you need any more help I happy to help
@@ashthersguy1787 can i ask where to take the measurement from as there is a few places lol
Do you have any info on the 1989 rally 123cc, would you know what engine seals and bearings do i need to get to replace them, cant find a manual anywhere
Apparantky the same engine as the AF1
I have allwas got all my parts off pjme and I think thay do parts you need give them a call there sort you out if your in the UK
Anyone try the rave 2? (the mechanical powervalve that opens via exhaust gasses) I’m on a low budget, it’s cheaper and the reviews aren’t bad (though there are few). I’m still kind of worried about buying it because it says you have to drill a hole in the cylinder. Anyone have any experience?
I haven't had one myself but I have heard that I is not a bolt on thing and it is more for adjusting the power band on a dyno so not something you Need unless you tuning the bike for more power
How often should i clean the powervalve and the hole?
least twice a year, but after 3,000 km at the latest.
hello my power valve is leaking and i don't know what the rubber gromit and insides of the power valve are called, many thanks

I’ve put my power valve in today all connected up but it doesn’t open do I need to drill cdi?
When did it open and most cdi have had it already done but yes I would but make sure you now what your doing as will be an Expensive mistake hope this helps
@@ashthersguy1787 yes I’ve done the mod and on the 2009 they come with nothing they are expensive to derestrict I’ve got vhsb 34mm carb on the way ;)
Well I hope it all goes well for you let me know what happens
@@ashthersguy1787 I’m coming up to 4.4K miles I am wondering if you have any time to help with heat cycle or running in the rings when I change them at 5000 miles as i want to do everything by the manual so I have a reliable engine as this bike isn’t letting me down and is far more reliable than my four strokes I’ve had don’t make sense I know 😂
When you do new ring you need to heat it up and let cool down 3 times then ring bike in low revs for 2 to 3 weeks can't remember how many miles but 2 to 3 should be sport on hope this helps
I need a power valve for a aprilla 2010 any requirement very poor in Mauritius...
I get most my parts from pjme here in the UK hope this helps
Bit of conflicting information here, I’ve seen others state that the blade edge needs to face up, not down as you suggest.
Thanks for you comment I have always Known it to be facing down
@@ashthersguy1787 you have done it the right way in the video. Putting it in the other way round will cost you power. Even seen dealers do it wrong on new bikes.
Think people get confused as the blanking plate for the restricted bikes goes the other was.
Hey ask you ever rode with out it ?
No I haven't sorry
@@ashthersguy1787 the rossi rep build on are page runs non valve the performance on speed is amazing we put it up against are other full power rs and level of power difference was on a different level.... not saying it's for every one but its has its perks mate reduced build up of sut and sound smooth to xx
@@jjsbikesnbits616 yeh I got rave2 same as this
Unfortunately I didn't get the valve cheaply. I had to make it first: ua-cam.com/video/OaR4iem6VvY/v-deo.html
Thats some good work
