Rotax Max Evo Power Valve troubleshooting FIXED

- After installing the rubber isolators on the power valve solenoid, I took another video to show how much better the engine ran. There were no more surprises seeing the PV close when it should have stayed open. Seems that when the solenoid is rigidly mounted, it shakes too much and overcomes the internal spring. This allows air to bleed off the solenoid when it should not have.

I had the same problem on dd2
Thanks you very much for the vidéo 👍
Cheers!
Is my understanding that you can set the exhaust valve to activate earlier, do you know how to do that? My Rotax DD2 is from this year, so the exhaust valve is controlled by the ECU if I’m not mistaken, thanks
How did you notice there was an issue? Was it just not pulling to max revs? On mine when I rev it on the trolley, it goes to max revs, then backs off then on again once every half a second as if the power valve is activating a de-activating. Could what was happening to your PV be the same as is happening to mine?
Where can you get rubber isolators for the power valve?
+Dominique Egner You should be able to get them from your Rotax engine dealer. If you use the smaller ones that come with the package then they will fit fine. If you use a bigger one, then you may need to bore out the solenoid opening a little bit, using a drill. No problem either way. It seems like most people are just using one isolator.
what did u do about jetting
Scott. Jetting didn't have anything to do with the power-valve operation. Not sure exactly what you are asking. I run at high-altitude, so jetting is likely different.
my powervalve just started leaking
Get your new version PV hose kit. Much better
