Just started following you. You’re so sweet and helpful, like having a curly bff helping me with my curls. I have 3a/b hair and 2c in the back, unless I finger coil the back, I can get some spirals. Thanks for taking us along on your journey!
apart from the fact that your hair is still looking so amazing the next morning, that blue shirt is making your gorgeous blue eyes pop out. so beautiful 😍😍 Also i have just ordered the bounce curl products. can't wait to try it
I tried bounccurl light cream gel at your recommendation, and it truly worked to give my 2B hair more body and fullness! Nice not overpowering aroma too. Worth it.
Removing the ring.....yes, I learned the hard way and probably caused a lot of breakage the first time I fluffed! Ugh, I tried the style cream gel and it didn’t seem to work, but it was my first month. I’m going to give it another try.
Your hair looks even shinier than usual! I tried the Bounce Curl gel because you're raved so frequently about it and I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Thanks for all your great advice.
Kinda new on this product just watched your video , loved your results, so I had to give it a try.. I am so glad that I did!! I bought a trial size .. And now I’m hooked!!!! I’m going to purchase the bigger bottles .. Thank you so much for sharing, your inspiration is so appreciated!! Keep doing what your doing you are so awesome , and beautiful!!! 🥰
Thanks for the tips. I will give it a try. My hair is frizzy and not straight not curly either, before I have started to colour it it use to be wavy, now its just like a broom . I really hope this will help. I am liking your hair colour very much, will you please share which colour brand and number you use , please, for that shade?
This brand isn't curl enhancing? Girl, your hair has so much curl and bounce and shine! Day 2 looks just as good as day 1! I love bounce curl hairspray on the roots prior to diffusing (your suggestion!) and I get root volume for days!
May I ask, **HOW** did you attach that diffuser to the Dyson blow dryer?!?! I have a Dyson blow dryer and my main pet peeve is the diffuser is so shallow.
Hey girl! I’m trying to get used to the curly girl method. After your tutorial, I realized I did everything wrong this morning. I bought the Extra Moisture Kit and I used the Cleansing Conditioner then I added the Smooth Cream Conditioner and I know now that I used way too much. I rinsed my hair and I squeezed out the excess water. Got out dried my body, combed my hair with a big pick like comb, put lotion on, moisturizer and brushed my teeth. Then I tried to rewet my hair so it would be soaking wet then I added way too much gel! I noticed my hair dried really quick when I diffused. It was really soft at first, then I added Righteous Roots Oil to SOTC and I noticed my hair was really frizzy and I hated the way it looked and felt! I had been showering and washing my hair every other day. What should I do tomorrow for my 2nd hair day? I have a small DevaCurl towel and I never have plopped my hair at all. HELP ME PLEASE!🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Hi Courtney. I'm considering to use Bounce Curl products. You recommend them here, but is this one of your favourite brands or could you recommend another line for wavy fine hair with medium perosity? It should be hydrating without weighing my hair down. I like to use leave ins as a detangler mainly. My hair loves gel, foam but not hair defining creams. 🤔 I really enjoy your videos and your spirit. Great gal you are 🙏😘
Good tips 😊 do you topically do wash day in the morning or night? I usually like to shower at night but I’m unsure how to get my curls to stay overnight. Have you slept in the plop before? If so does it keep your curls intact in the morning? Sorry for bombing you with a ton of question lol 🤣
So pretty! I want to love bounce curl! I do love the shampoo and love how concentrated it is but find I can't use it every wash day, kinda dries me out. I'll have to try that trick with the conditioner, I've felt like it just sits on my hair, haven't been able to detangle at all! And I'll have to try less with the gel too because mine does that exact thing (flash dry, separated hairs, frizz, funk don't even know what to call it!) Thanks for all the tips!
It’s possible you have a much lower hair porosity than I do. But I also had some of the same issues when I first tried these bounce curl products. Turns out I was using way too much. I found that when I’m used to 1/4 of the amount of product I got much better results. And the conditioner has much better slip when I add more water to it than by adding more conditioner. But I do know what you mean for sure!
Swavy Curly Courtney thanks for your reply! The longer I practice the curly girl method the more I'm beginning to think I have more medium porosity as time goes on and it's becoming less fine as well which is so strange! Crazy actually my hair feels more like my daughter's now!! I will try less product and use more water and see what happens!
Was your hair always this shiny and smooth (genetics?) or did CGM help you get this shine? I have been using sulphate paraben silicone free products for a year now but haven’t still been able to achieve this type of shine.. 😭
SP If you watch my curly girl transformation video, you’ll see that my hair hasnt always been like this. It was actually highlighted and fried to death when I started doing the curly girl method. It’s been the curly girl method that’s completely transformed my hair. My family tends to have pretty dry hair as a rule.
You have such great shine in your hair! I have thick, coarse hair (3a/3b) that didn’t respond well to the Bouncecurl gel by itself. Repeatedly had flash drying issues. BUT...I’ve started doing the full lineup as you demonstrated along with their new clump and define cream. GAMECHANGER! If your hair does well with cream, I’d recommend that for curl enhancing :)
Terri Fernandez Evee I have heard absolutely fabulous things about their new products! I am really itching to try them! That’s really exciting work well for you!
When I wash my hair, I get nice “seaweed” clumps, I can see a wave pattern, but it never dries how it looks wet. Either it’s very stringy and frizzy, or it’s just flat. I can get some good curls/waves on my bottom layer, but the top layer just looks poofy. I have low porosity, 2a/b (I think hair). Any help?!???? 😭
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney according to what they're saying on Instagram the protein in the bounce curl light gel offsets the moisturization of the orange marmalade and they have some really good results from it.
Christina M I can totally see that. both actually cause a tiny bit flash drying for me. I’m not sure if combining them would make the flash dry even worse.
I tried both gels today and got amazing results my hair looked awesome. I also really like using uncle funky gel and orange marmalade on top both of these combinations give me great results. But I did like orange mermelade and bounce curl combo better!!! I’m happy I’m finally starting to find products that work for me.. has taken a lot of trial and error 😊
Your hair is really pretty this wash day! Side note: you always talk about your hair being really oily, have you tried actually using oils in your routine? You know how they say if you hair is over producing oil it is because you hair needs oil? Would like to know what's your thought on that theory?
What is your favorite one brand wash day? I have very thin hair and not a lot. It gets a little oily round the temples. It is wavy. I am overwhelmed by all the recommendations.
April Pacholski that is really tricky, there are so many places to start. I do you have discount codes for Inahsi and Tréluxe which would save you money and these brands are really really nice! But you might start with Giovanni because it is the best quality for the price point. And fairly accessible (you can walk into a store and buy it).
Yomahira Ash It really depends on what I feel like my hair needs that day. I tend to clarify with the sulfate once a month or so. Are use a low Poo most of the time. But some days I feel like my hair isn’t quite as greasy so I will use a co-wash.
Swavy Curly Courtney thank you! I have similar hair and have been trying to transition and still have a mess! But since I found your channel I have noticed some improvements. I think I might have turned a corner🤞
Thanks for this video darling. I am wondering (b/c I LOOOOVEEE the volume that I get from bouncegirl) do you think one could combine Orange Mermelade and bouncecurl combo? thanks!

I've been trying to do the curly girl method for a while but my curls dont stay together long enough, they look like old crusty thin ropes :( So i have to wash it everyday because my hair doesn't even bounce Did you deal with this in your transition to own your curls? My hair is probably type 2 (A or B) i feel like I am losing a battle with my hair
LeeAnn Keagy I absolutely understand how you’re feeling! My hair looked a whole lot like what you’re describing to you. I have a video coming soon on what I did to deal with transition. I’m just curious how long of you been doing the curly girl method?
@@SwavyCurlyCourtney Hey thanks for your reply... I've been trying the method for 2 months now, I know it's like too soon to be complaining but I can't even go 1 day without washing my hair :(
I know you were not very impressed with this wash day but the shine and softness you got from this was so intense it actually made you look SUPER blonde. I can tell however that it was a little too heavy on your hair so it would only last a couple days which is a bit exhausting lol.
That shade of blue is stunning on you!

Your hair looks amazing and healthy !! Love your channel 😊💕
LAYLA m thank you! You are so sweet!
Because the cast is light, I get more mileage not SOTC (just fluffing roots) and letting it be. BC is a wonderful line. You have beautiful hair!
Stanka Kordic Effort of people doing that! It makes a lot of sense!

I have tried so many products and Bounce Curl is one of the favorites. LUS, Taliah Waajid, Uncle funkys daughters are thefavorites.

Grace B buahah you’ve got way more skillz than I do! Props!!!
How can you tell if your hair likes protein? How much protein is too much?
About how much Lite Creame gel do use? I have similar hair. ❤
Is your hair cut in layers?
Can you tell me which country products is this??
I just checked the Bounce Curl website and they are only shipping to the United States and Canada right now.
Love the suggestion of listening to an audio book while diffusing!! That’s by far my least favorite part of the process!
Megan Redding haha! I’m glad that was helpful! It’s a great way to stay sane! 🤪
