After two weeks of bad hair days and watching a ton of your videos, I'm FINALLY having a good wavy hair day!!!!!! I bought a decent hair dryer and diffuser for myself and I'm absolutely blown away by the results!!!!? My hair is wavy a solid 2b-2c, light and wonderful. Thank you again you have made my journey much easier!
Well, this is perfect timing for me. I've had my wavy bob for less than a week now and today is wash day! I also tend to have less texture/volume in the back so I'm definitely going to be trying your technique!
I love your honesty about how the back isn’t as curly! That’s exactly how mine is so hearing someone say that its okay that not all hair curls up. Love the video and love the haircut 💁🏽♀️
Hi Alyson, boy what a timely video with where my head is at these days!! I've taken a step back from scrolling through IG constantly and drooling over hair that I'll never be able to achieve. Finding the colors that not only look good on me, but I gravitate towards anyway...! It is a blessing to find simplicity in your routine because I believe it brings us happiness in our everyday lives. I hope all is well with you these days and you enjoy this time with your family!
I’m new to curly girl method, wish I had discovered this method so many years ago, it brings out hair that I never knew I had! This is one of the best videos I have seen for hair kind of similar to mine. I know it’s a few years old but thanks so much.
After growing my hair out for a few years I cut it short again and I love having a bob again. Your videos are super helpful for someone who is just learning about the curly girl method!
You are my new addiction! I have the SAME hair type as you, and need SOOO much help getting into the CG groove, so thank you! I love your way of talking/explaining, very genuine.
Love, LOVE, love this video! I just got my hair cut, almost exactly like yours, and I want it to "do what it wants!" This is actually very helpful since I am going through a wavy/curly transition phase. Thanks so much!
I complete agree that short hair is the way to go. I have 3b curls and i recently got my hair cut shorter than it's been in awhile, and I absolutely love it. Less product is definitely a benefit and less work to detangle. New subscriber, I enjoy your videos.
Excellent video. You make it all look so easy....but I know it has taken time to get there. Love love love the fact that you celebrate the waves. And that you celebrate looking a little wild with a nice shape. Keep up the good work!
I have found that application on damp instead of wet hair makes a difference for my bob. I also add more product to the back of my hair while diffusing. Product never quite seems to make it back there.
Yes lord! Short hair is the way to go for me too!! My bob is a bit shorter than urs and I’m curlier maybe 2c-3aish. No tangles easy styling. It just feels so healthy!!
Love it, thank you! I just got a short bob yesterday and was at a bit of a loss in terms of routine. I found this really helpful! And also 100% agree that short hair is THE way to go! 💁🏻♀️♥️
The orchid diffuser is a plus, I bought it and other products because you had it all listed making it easier. The diffuser is really a great investment!
Your "do" is ADORABLE! Thanks for all the instruction and guidance. I've been on the CG/WG path for 1 week now, and I happen to have the A-Line, stacked-style bob. With this video, I can see my potential, in due time. Thanks again! 😁😁😁
I have fine, thin hair and anything that is too heavy just doesn't work with my hair. I bought the Bounce Curl Creme Gel and really like how soft my hair feels. I used it with a couple pumps of DevaCurl Volumizing Foam and it was a great combination for me! Three days later and my hair is still soft and curly. I used it to refresh in the mornings too. PS. Your hair looks amazing. That length is so attractive!
I must say, I've been doing the CGM for about 3 months. And the whole time I've been thinking I needed to grow my chin-length bob out. But seeing how cute your hair looks is making me second guess!
Great video and love your new cut. Without the weight of length, your curls seem to spring up tighter. I always like to see how much product you use. After 6 months on CG routine, I still struggle with weighing my very fine hair down with product. But when I get it right, it's fantastic. I will keep Bounce curl in mind the next time I'm ready to purchase.
I have fine hair and bounceurl really is amazing. It doesn't weigh my hair down or make it greasy, and there's no producty feel to my hair (which I hate).
I’m not usually so transparent about my favorites, as I work with (and really truly love) a lot of brands, but I gotta say...Bounce Curl is waaaaay up there for me. And thank you :) It will get easier for you - but you are over the hump! Good luck!!
SaBr 417 So I recently received my order of bounce curl. I have fine quite curly hair. The gel is lightweight, doesn’t weigh my hair down, and leaves it soft without any crunch or producty feeling. Trouble is I have no definition and lots of frizz. I do struggle with frizz big time.
My hair lays SO flat in the back. Its all one-ish length right now. I just started the GCM like a month before the quarantine started, so I wasn’t able to get a good cut. I need the layers like yours in the back. Thank you for your routine, as I’m likely going back to a nice short bob again, using the CGM!
I have been looking at products with protein as i think my hair is needing it. I also have fine hair and my curls are not always curls, so this video was perfect timing. I hope to grow my hair a little longer than yours and i may try the plopping the way you do but my hair will lose it's curl very easily. Thanks for this video it has helped so much.
Thank you so much for all the videos and tips!!! I have always wondered how to take care of my wavy curly hair. I have the same type of hair as you so it’s so helpful! I just bought the xtava orchid diffuser and love it so much. It’s gonna help so much!
Omg I think I have found my hair sister in you! Now I wish I wouldn’t have trimmed this mop the other night. My hair would do just what yours does-I just wasn’t far enough in my CG journey to understand what to do with it. Thank you so much for your helpful videos!
"I like my hair to be weird." I tell ya, that's a good place to be. I look a little sideways at the ladies with curly hair that try to control their hair so much! It's just too much work and a little futile. You learn it's never exactly the same day to day. We have similar haircuts, my curls/wave might be a little tighter but it does similar things. I know I've said it before.... My issue right now is I had a great cut 2 months ago and now I can't get a hold of the stylist. Grr.
It's so hard to get used to. I feel crazy and disheveled lol. I've always had curly hair and after kids my hair changed to waves and it's a big transition. But honestly I love the waves more lol
Yeah that's what I finally said. She has had health issues and I think she didn't want to say she couldn't do hair right now. I am going to try another local salon. i will tell you though Wendy, I am adjusting to shorter hair and it's not as manageable at times, transition can be tough! It can just be getting used to and the nuances of product use.
OMGOSH I had to have this line ordered it today!!! Thank you for the great video loved it even if my hair is very long but fine and thin I'm hoping my hair likes it!!!
Ooooh I love it! By now it’s grown out a bit I’m sure since this was a few months ago. You have helped me tremendously since I barely just realized I’m actually a wavy and not a frizzy straight girl! I had cut off my gross frizzy into a pixies day it has healthily grown out wavy! I can’t believe it! Anyway thanks for all the tips!
Hailey Garven Ditto! I just cut another few inches, more layers, and dry it with a huge round brush. Whenever I try it wavy/curly, I end up looking like Bozo or Rosanna Dana Dana... 😝
Your hair style is so cute on you! I love it! There’s no way I could get away with a short hair style like that. It’s way to thick and wild 😜. I’m yet to find anyone with hair like mine 🙁, which has been frustrating because I’m trying to just stick with my natural waves and no heat, and learn how to take care of it with good stuff. I have still been able to learned a lot from your channel, even though we have completely different kind of hair. You’re a great teacher! I do love Bounce Curl cleanser and conditioner and I LOVE THE HAIR essential oil fragrance!!! I DIDN’t like it at first, but boy! It grew on me!!! The gel however, is worthless on my hair 😫. It doesn’t enhance my waves at all and I get zero clumping with it. It was a waste of 💰.
I just did a big chop myself this week. I had pretty long hair, but now I've got a bob just like yours. I simply didn't have the patience to wait, transitioning is taking too long and I had so much straight hair and it was flat on the top. I've got a lot more volume now, the hairdresser said that because it's shorter it doesn't weigh down that heavily. Plus she pointed out my hair is heavy because it's very very thick. I've got a lot of hair she said. Anyway I'm happy and I'm glad I saw this video. Totally helps.
I'm off to get my hair cut like yours. Even have pics of you to show the hairdresser. I've been blowdrying my hair for a while now. Today I used a sulfate--free shampoo and was amazed to see my curly come back right away. Used the Curl Recoil curl activator and the volumizing mousse (AG brand). Here's hoping for a great cut!
Thanks , you turned me on to BC in March, and there is no going back! Still on my same bottles, they are so cost effective! The layering of the gel is my fav part of how it works. Pea size blobs emulsified as it dries, and curls for days.
Love your hair so much ! I have been thinking on trying that line of products. Started curly girl routine few months ago and have been trying out stuff but haven’t found my OMH yet.
Oh my, I am amazed at the quantity of products that you applied, nickel-size and pea-size. :) I am so, so tempted to cut my hair short. Thou have convinced me.
Hahah! Remember, I also don't have that much hair! But yes, the cut makes a huge difference all the way around: Product usage, refreshing, drying time. WIN WIN WIN
real life+curly girl, I love your comment about your hair being soft and still wavy/curly. I am about 4 months into my CG journey, I'm high porosity, fine hair and 2b/c to 3a. Moisture IS key! My hair is getting to be more soft and needing less styling products as my hair gains moisture. I'm very curious to try the Bounce Curl. May have to give away some products 😁
Love your haircut. I’m trying to grow mine out a little but now I want your cut. Can’t wait to try these products. Thanks for sharing you always have great info.
Love your cut! Thanks to you I love Bounce Curl medium moisture shampoo and conditioner. I didn't realize how great they were until after I ran out and decided to try another line and my hair seemed less hydrated, less shiny, and more shedding. Now I'm back to Boucle Curl! I really want to try the clarifying shampoo too. Still curious to try Mop Top, Jessie Curl, and Innersense though...
Girl, I'm so glad you love BC like I do. The clarifying shampoo is my jam. All those are good brands. Be careful, they don't have long shelf lives, so best to use up one before diving into another brand!
This is so beautiful! I used to wear bob and what I did to make such a hairdo was using hot curling iron >_< Which is nonsense because I have naturally curly hair! And now I know how easy and non-damaging it could be. Thank you!
OMG Alyson I just had to let you know what happened I decided to get my hair cut been thinking about it for a while I wanted long layers and have it trimmed down from my chin to the ends of my hair around my face (I have long hair) it turn out perfectly I love it.I washed and conditioned my hair with bounce curl .I haven't used it for a while my hair has been frizzy and not curling lately so I thought I'd try it since I was going to get my hair cut anyway.I normally have to rewash my hair after trimming it witch I have only been just trimming it for years it was all one length. You should of seen it after my hair cut I had spirals (coils ) it was beautiful with bounce curl! !!!!!!
Love your videos! So very helpful! Just started the girly girl method and am loving it! I have similar hair to yours and love this shorter cut. My length is also very similar but am curious about how long your sides, top, and back layers are. Thanks!!
I just got my hair cut about the exact same way as yours, and I really appreciate this video for a new take on the hair routine! Tip: the medusa clip method doesn't exactly work for me, but it inspired me to change it up a bit. What I do is I flip my head upside down, grab the hair from one side of my head loosely and clip it to the top of my head, repeat for the other side and back bringing all of the sections to the center top of my head as I grab them, and then the long-ish ends and front section that are left over I just pull over the top towards the back of my head and clip on the top of my head so it stays out of the way. That way, the majority of my shorter hairs still get clipped up. Hopefully, that makes sense! Thanks again for a great video!
Hello, I am enjoying watching your videos, still trying to navigate my wavy hair bc I am transitioning from straightening. I like my hair to feel soft. Can you please do an overnight video with your shorter hair? Also, I like to blow dry my bangs area (my waves just look like parentheses () if I don’t) open for any suggestions. This is crazy but what products do you recommend if I want to blow dry straight without frizz? Right now I have the Deva Curl Wavy Kit. I travel to Costa Rica and the humidity is nuts for my hair. Totally appreciate your tutorial, thank you.
Oh my god! I have the exact same hair type, cut, texture and problems. This video was amazing! I'm totally checking out the products you mentioned. Subscribed 😊😊😊.
I have been watching your videos for a few months and can honestly say YOU have saved my hair. I love the MopTop line and I now wear my hair curly. The curling custard is amazing. How do you think MopTop compares to the products you recommend in this video? Which line do you prefer as your daily go to? My curl pattern is pretty comparable to yours and I have some highlights. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. It is very much appreciated.
I have a short bob. I've recently started diffusing due to living in the northeast and not leaving the house with wet hair. My waves I've found are much more defined. The back of my hair is just like yours. Wavy on a great day and straight on a normal day. Gonna look into smasters. Thanks.
i tried the CGM for awhile and my hair just looked dull, no shine to it anymore, frizzy from plopping and diffusing, and when there is product in it, it gets greasy almost immediately on the roots - so frustrating! my hair is wavy, fine but i have lots of it. i feel like everything i try looks awful. hoping to gain a bit of insight from these videos, have gone back to straightening it with a blow dryer because everything else looks silly
Determine you hair porosity, I'm a low porosity, my hair does not like cleansing conditioners because it feels greasy, so I use low sulfate shampoos, avoid proteins & use the CG method as a guide. Follow @justlikejackies @hif3licia @themestizamuse on IG, stick to it, deep condition or protein treat, your hair will take time to recover from the heat damage, especially if it's fine. 🤞🏼
I like the new look! I have to try reapplying products as I diffuse...By the way do u think Bounce curl products are better than Jessicurl products for wavy hair?? I need new products for hold definition & volume but I can’t decide which of the 2 to try 🤷🏻♀️ can you or anyone help please? ?
It depends on your hair; they're vastly different lines. J is mostly protein free so if your hair is coarse or you're gluten intolerant, it's perfect for you. BC is higher protein, so if your hair is finer and you need more enhancement, that would be the better choice.
Two questions: 1) Can you describe how you use the Bounce Curl cream gel as a refresh? I’ve watched your previous refresh videos but it would be helpful to see how you refresh with the shorter length. 2) Have you had any luck with air drying instead of diffusing now that your hair is shorter? I travel a lot, and I appreciate having a simplified routine with fewer products and the option to air dry. Thanks so much for the fantastic information you provide. It has helped me tremendously! I look forward to every video.
Shorter hair really suits you well! I'm wondering if the bounce curl conditioner you mentioned works ok for squish to condish? What's your fave conditioner for that?
I know you mention that you use the conditioner as a leave in too but have you tried any others with the bounce curl? Also, if I use the bounce curl clumping defining cream would I still use a leave in? I’m 2a 2b and afraid it will weigh down?
I’m so glad I found you! I love you and love your hair and this cut. I want my hair to look like yours and I think it could be something like yours. I am just starting out on the CGM even tho I’m 67. Spent my life hating my natural curly waves and trying to hide them. But I’ve now got my natural color and want my natural texture too. Thank you so much for all the info. I’ve enjoyed all your videos I’ve seen so far. How do I find your amazon shop? I’m also a bit tech challenged. 🤷🏻♀️
Love your hair❤️❤️❤️. I’m making a salon appointment today. Lol Thanks for sharing all your tips and tricks for curly hair. I have been binge watching all your videos.
I can't seem to figure this out, but "should" you wash, condition, leave in condition each time your'e in the shower, or do you cowash most of the time, and refresh with the full wash/condition routine?
I have a weird dilemma. I have a bob but also am undercut all the way around (I have enough hair for five people so some of it had to go) and I am generally a 2b... except for one singular lock of hair that’s seriously like a 3a. It makes a perfect ringlet on the side of my head. Everyday. When I used to try to brush out my hair pre-CG that piece with the slightest humidity looked like you’d taken a crimper or wave styler to it. What do I do with that? Do I just embrace the one random ringlet or can I tame it a bit so it matches my 2b waves better?
I do have similar hairstyle as yours. Mine is 2A hair. On the first day its nice and curly and bouncy. But on the second day my waves fall flat. Can you make a video on how to refresh second and third day curls.
Trial cg phase question: I get curls while squishing. Does that mean it's a matter of finding the right products to make them stay when dry? Or could it be they're just not "real" enough?
I have a similar length and curl pattern but a lot more thickness. And I am really struggeling to find the right products. Since you seem so in love with yours I lookes them up. I'm sorry to say that they are not really clean. But they contain a silicone replacement called Polyquaternium-10 which i am hesitant to use. Such a struggle to find really natural products...
sure, it's just easier to use natural products because there wont be anything in there that i dont want. when the beauty industry just tries to fake silicone free products and you end up unknowingly coating your hair again in a silicone-like product (polyquaternium) you will have a hard time finding out whats wrong. with the cgm this gets to be a problem because with the sulphate free products you wont be getting rid of the build up...
That's why I clarify monthly. I honestly don't believe people can get away with never using sulfates or just water washing their whole lives and never experience buildup. I did recently learn that pquats are considered a microplastic (I didn't not know that when I filmed this video), but I don't have any trouble with them. Innersense and Evolvh might be good brands for you to look into where 'clean' is concerned, but I can't say they won't build up.
real life+curly girl I’ve got Bouncecurl and Bouclème in their way right now. I like DC and Jessie but haven’t found my “love” products yet. Hopefully something clicks soon! Keep the videos coming:)
A few years ago, with long hair you had a video of a night time routine. The pineapple scrunched the crunch over night. Is that possible with a bob? I cut all mine off too lol I love it short but I no longer know how to do it over night and sleep in 😴.
You’re making me want to cut my hair shorter! It’s to my bra strap now. I just started the CGM and it’s so hard to manage. Im getting 4ish inches cut off this week to make it easier to style. I have super thick hair and it takes so long to diffuse. This video makes me want to go shorter.
not only you have wavy and fine hair like mine but we have same haircut too :D i had to cut my hair 6 years ago after one disaster with hairdresser :/ but after realizing how easier it is to style it, how it looks better on second day and need less time to wash it i'm never coming back to long hair :D i tried few times, but as longer it is less curly it is... so thumb up for your new haircut :) it is bit harder for sleeping (pineapple is destroying its shape), i only put my hair over the pillow
Yeah your hair has really come to be fabulous over your cg journey. Looks great! I've loved it at all your different lengths. I gave up on the cg method and cut off 12 inches. Too much disappointment for too long.
Do you have any layers in you bob, or just a regular straight bob cut? Right now I have an outgrown bob that's all straight cut, and I had originally asked for layers and the gal had no idea what I meant, so am curious what you got. I love the length. looks so good on you.
As I have neither facebook nor instagram, I will take a shot here. Was wondering if you still refresh in the same manner you did with the longer hair, as you mentioned using less products.
I honestly don't even refresh anymore. The short hair is just SO easy to take care of. If I do need to, I scrunch in a little Bounce Curl gel emulsified with water and call it a day.
Thank you, once again, Alyson! After watching this video yesterday I approached my styling differently this morning. I'd been combining my BounceCurl light creme gel with other things because I'd "heard" it didn't have enough hold and, I'd gotten some frizz without using Ouidad Climate Control over it. Well, after seeing how much you're using on your hair (and I have greater density), I realized that I wasn't using enough! So, this morning I put more on initially AND did smasters with it. And, BOOM, great hair today with only BounceCurl light creme gel! YAY! I'd love to hear how you're refreshing with it!
YES!!!! Sometimes quantity is the only thing we need to adjust to get the results we're after! Good for you. It's so exciting to only need to use one product!
I love the idea of using only one product and ending up with soft, weightless but defined hair! When you refresh do you dampen first or just apply like you're smastering?
Super cute haircut! Just now starting the CG method .. did a deep dive down your video rabbit hole in the last two days. Loved the one about simplifying.. how is that going? I am looking to do the same and it seems like this video was using less products. Before I go buy all the stuff in your earlier videos, I am wondering if I could just buy this line and be done with it? Ha Thanks so much!! ☺️
Love this video! My hair is very similar to yours so it was very helpful. Do you ever use hair spray to help with volume and hold? Or is that a big no-no?
Thank you for your video. You surely make it simple with beautiful results. How often do you deel condition to moisturize and load your hair with protein?
So for my birthday, I just got the bounce curl products plus a hot heads thermal hat for deep conditioning. My question is what deep conditioner or conditioners works best with bounce curl? Thank you for helping.
Rinse it all out, completely out, before applying Bounce Curl. That gel is magic, but it reacts with a lot of products. Just add back in a dot of their own conditioner as your leave in and you'll be fine.
Your hair looks gorgeous! I love the length and your curls are perfect. I am curious, first off I just recently found info on several of the varying curly hair systems. I myself do not think of myself as having curly or wavy hair. Perhaps the slightest wave in the back. I find combing my hair removes any possibilities of that wave. Years ago I had one hair stylist that saw this wave and worked her magic twice, when I got home people asked if I had gotten a perm. So with all that I think there may be some possibility that I could get more wave/curl than I think. The methods I’ve seen seem a bit complicated as far as products, and steps. How did you find which products and methods you like best. I don’t want to invest in a ton of stuff if in the end my hair really doesn’t curl.
You have to decide if pursuing being a curl girl is something you want. If you're happy with your present hair situation, don't force it. My two cents!
i have a hard time styling it cause mine is a semi-bob, cut for straight hair, so it's shorter at the back than the front and also on my right side, because i'm growing out my shaved side (since last year). it was also cut in the summer with that scissor that has teeth, which makes layers, so all the small hairs sometimes made clumps. i can't wait for it to grow more, so it can be cut into a more appropriate bob, for wavy/curly hair. 😫
Hi Alyson! Love your videos! You're just too cute! I live in Dallas as well and I've been looking into getting my first Deva Cut. Do have any hairstylist recommendations? Thanks!!
Music to my ears!
Well, this is perfect timing for me. I've had my wavy bob for less than a week now and today is wash day! I also tend to have less texture/volume in the back so I'm definitely going to be trying your technique!
Your hair is freaking gorgeous 💖 loving how your hair is with this shorter cut !!! Keep the videos coming 💖
I love your honesty about how the back isn’t as curly! That’s exactly how mine is so hearing someone say that its okay that not all hair curls up. Love the video and love the haircut 💁🏽♀️
Thank you!
Hi Alyson, boy what a timely video with where my head is at these days!! I've taken a step back from scrolling through IG constantly and drooling over hair that I'll never be able to achieve. I have a tip: I wear satin gloves when scrunching out the crunch. No frizz!
Hope this helps someone 😊
Where do you find satin gloves?
Amazon has satin gloves for $7
That’s a cool tip!
That's GREAT!
I do this too. I use my satin bonnets to SOTC!
I’m new to curly girl method, wish I had discovered this method so many years ago, it brings out hair that I never knew I had! This is one of the best videos I have seen for hair kind of similar to mine. I know it’s a few years old but thanks so much.

'This time, I'm gonna do that sober.' Hahahahahaha!!
Your new haircut looks amazing and perfectly suits your fun, effervescent personality!⭐️Thank you for the styling tips and product descriptions!
Thank you!

Love it, thank you! I just got a short bob yesterday and was at a bit of a loss in terms of routine. I found this really helpful! And also 100% agree that short hair is THE way to go! 💁🏻♀️♥️

Oh no! Might be time for a new stylist if your current one is MIA. That's terrible!
Your hair is gorgeous! I just purchased the leave-in conditioner and light creme gel; thanks for the review and discount code!
OMGOSH I had to have this line ordered it today!!! Thank you for the great video loved it even if my hair is very long but fine and thin I'm hoping my hair likes it!!!
Hi I received my bounce curl yesterday wash with it today left my hair soft, weighless and fluffy . I understand why you love this line .
YES! It's awesome!
So glad to hear that!!
I love this video thanks for sharing! I have a similar length hair cut but a TON of hair. I'm struggling to find a routine that works for my hair.
Awesome!
Super helpful. I recently had my curly hair cut in a bob and I’m struggling. This is going to help immensely! I love your weird hair!
And I LOVE your hair 💕
Love your hair so much ! I have been thinking on trying that line of products. Started curly girl routine few months ago and have been trying out stuff but haven’t found my OMH yet.
Loooooove your hairstyle, I almost have the same cut and lenght and I want that same volume!! gonna try your tips!!
WIN WIN WIN
Wow your hair is so gorgeous!!! I am stunned by it. I think I might try a cream gel, even though I’ve always used a hard hold gel!
Thank you SO much!
real life+curly girl, I love your comment about your hair being soft and still wavy/curly.
Thank you for the great video! Have been waiting for this! Cant wait to try your double applying technique!
LOL, making videos when SOBER!! Love it!! CHEERS! 🍹
LOL I am working on my self control! Cheers to YOU!
I love your hair when i decide to go short I'm taking this video to show my hairdresser what i want thank you for this 😀
Loved the video. I'll have to try this line after I finish my moptop set I just got. Thank you for the demo!
Aaah! Another super helpful video. Happy to have found your channel.
Very good point; thanks again!
Thanks!!
I have a few different pics of this cut from different angles on my IG. Come find me! @reallifecurlygirl
I needed this tutorial! I have this haircut, and I’m trying to embrace my waves/curls!
I absolutely LOVE your hair this length!! It's super cute, a little funky, just totally you!!
Thank you so much!
I love that modification! Thanks for sharing with us!!
@@alysonlupo My pleasure!
Oh and I ordered the jessie curl spiralicious after watching your review and love it!
I'm so glad!
Your hair looks so freakin cute! And healthy & moisturized!
So glad your back! You look so cute with short hair! Just got mine cut too. Can you review the shea moisture curling gel souffle?
Thank you! This was so helpful -- great to see how much product you use!
Oh my god! I have the exact same hair type, cut, texture and problems. This video was amazing! I'm totally checking out the products you mentioned. Subscribed 😊😊😊.
Welcome!
I LOVE MopTop! If you love it, stick with it!
I like the new intro and editing stuff you did in this video! Also obviously the hairs and the curls and etc, lol. It was a fun change!
I'm so glad! Always experimenting!
I literally just scrunch it in with wet hands, on dry hair. Nope, I always diffuse b/c I prefer volume. Glad to help! :)
Awesome video!! I love your hair!
Shorter hair really suits you well! I'm wondering if the bounce curl conditioner you mentioned works ok for squish to condish? What's your fave conditioner for that?
Thanks! Whatever conditioner I'm using. Devacurl, Bounce Curl, Jessicurl, MopTop. Those are my favorites.
I know you mention that you use the conditioner as a leave in too but have you tried any others with the bounce curl? Also, if I use the bounce curl clumping defining cream would I still use a leave in? I’m 2a 2b and afraid it will weigh down?
I would love to hear your review on function of beauty's custom shampoo and conditioners. I just ordered a set and I'm so excited to try them out
I'm trying out Prose right now (shhhhh!), and will report back on that line soon. I'll do some digging on FoB too!
Your hair is adorable, and looks so healthy! Love it!
I can't seem to figure this out, but "should" you wash, condition, leave in condition each time your'e in the shower, or do you cowash most of the time, and refresh with the full wash/condition routine?
you look gorgeous and your hair too! its incredible to see how your hair has transformed since your initial videos. :)
Rebecca Wolf man made doesn’t always mean bad
sure, it's just easier to use natural products because there wont be anything in there that i dont want. when the beauty industry just tries to fake silicone free products and you end up unknowingly coating your hair again in a silicone-like product (polyquaternium) you will have a hard time finding out whats wrong. with the cgm this gets to be a problem because with the sulphate free products you wont be getting rid of the build up...
Love it and you! So which line of products are YOUR favorite these days??
Bounce Curl is my #1, followed closely by MopTop, Devacurl, Jessicurl and Innersense, in no particular order. :)
real life+curly girl I’ve got Bouncecurl and Bouclème in their way right now.
This video makes me want to go shorter.
not only you have wavy and fine hair like mine but we have same haircut too :D
i had to cut my hair 6 years ago after one disaster with hairdresser :/ but after realizing how easier it is to style it, how it looks better on second day and need less time to wash it i'm never coming back to long hair :D i tried few times, but as longer it is less curly it is... so thumb up for your new haircut :) it is bit harder for sleeping (pineapple is destroying its shape), i only put my hair over the pillow
Yeah your hair has really come to be fabulous over your cg journey. Looks great! I've loved it at all your different lengths. I gave up on the cg method and cut off 12 inches. Too much disappointment for too long.
Thank you! And I'm sorry to hear that, but I hope you're in a place of loving your hair now, no matter your routine.
Do you have any layers in you bob, or just a regular straight bob cut? Right now I have an outgrown bob that's all straight cut, and I had originally asked for layers and the gal had no idea what I meant, so am curious what you got. I love the length. looks so good on you.
LYNN PULFREY her IG really helps to see her cut!
Your hair is beautiful. I really like the cut. I’ve got an inverted wavy bob.
Yes! That’s been a BIG part for me - no more layering for this girl. I will be filming a follow up to that ASAP. It’s coming!
YAAAAAAAAAS!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️ This video made my crappy day slightly better. Thank you!
Awwww happy to help! :)
Love this video! My hair is very similar to yours so it was very helpful. Do you ever use hair spray to help with volume and hold? Or is that a big no-no?
Thank you for your video. You surely make it simple with beautiful results. How often do you deel condition to moisturize and load your hair with protein?
Usually monthly, sometimes less often. My hair, at this length, is so much less needy than it ever has been!
Ahhh!!! You just became my favorite UA-camr! I love meeting sisters, especially Texas ones! WLFEO
YES!!!! Nice to meet you sister! WLFEO:)
Your hair looks so good. Nice work! (Notes to self: book the cut, buy the orchid).
i have a hard time styling it cause mine is a semi-bob, cut for straight hair, so it's shorter at the back than the front and also on my right side, because i'm growing out my shaved side (since last year). it was also cut in the summer with that scissor that has teeth, which makes layers, so all the small hairs sometimes made clumps. i can't wait for it to grow more, so it can be cut into a more appropriate bob, for wavy/curly hair. 😫
You'll get there! Be patient and consistent.
Hi Alyson! Love your videos! You're just too cute! I live in Dallas as well and I've been looking into getting my first Deva Cut. Do have any hairstylist recommendations? Thanks!!
