Absolutely amazing, by far my favourite canoeist on UA-cam!!! I have tears in my eyes anticipating this upcoming season watching you. What a true paddler, the proper paddle, appropriate hat, and not only focused on what you are cooking for the day. Bravo my friend, amazing photography and can't wait for more!!!!
Thanks Jacob! That was probably one of the if not THE most beautiful mornings of the trip!! Stunning colours! Waking up early pays off! This trip I’ve really enjoyed being on the water early every day for sunrise!
Great trip! Enjoyed the entire series so far. Been driving me a little crazy to see you release all those nice fish and then eat freeze dried for dinner, but I gotta say... those lentils and summer sausage looked delicious!
I bring enough food for every single day plus a day extra for every 6 days. I was supposed to stay out for 34 days so I had about 40 days worth of food with me. Trust me I was happy to lighten the load bit by bit! And in these last few lakes I only catch Pike and Lake trout. I’m honestly not a big fan of lake trout. And most of the trout I catch are too much meat for me by myself to eat. I don’t want to keep any fish meat in my barrel as it will stink up the barrel pretty good! I love eating walleye from time to time though! The lentil soup is amazing! I dont go on a trip without it anymore! Ill try and put the recipe in some time!
Stayed on that campsite on Aegean. Pretty cool having the double fire pit. Another nice video, Koen! South Aegean is so pretty paddling through all the small islands.. look forward to seeing that in the next instalment.
Thank you! It is a very nice site! And would be great for a bigger group too. And yes South Aegean was great! Very nice day too on Canada day. Little teaser: I got a moose cross the lake in front of my canoe before I started the portages into Paull. And I took the long way around in South Aegean to see the pictographs
The sunrise paddle section of the video was truly awe inspiring. You're living the dream out there. Makes great motivation for trip planning this season.
Super awesome trip, im really enjoying the series. I’m excited to go to woodland this summer. You ate quite a few dehydrated meals. Which ones were your favourites?
Thanks Dale. I found the beef and mushroom pasta by AlpineAire and any of the mac and cheese ones are good. Black and bart chilly is great. All depends on your taste though! I always get lots of different ones, even ones I don’t like as much just to have variety.
I’m spending lots of time enjoying your videos. You seem like you spend more time on the portage than the paddle 😅. I never see you bump into other paddlers, find occupied campsites of fight mosquitoes and black flies. Great job bringing us along on your adventures! And just after I write this, you bump into some guys being picked up by a float plane. 🥴
Haha the only 2 guys I ran in to I actually knew! What are the odds! Im not in a rush and with that light canoe, I really don’t mind spending time on the portages. The portages are after all how you get to the places least travelled! I do tend to get very very lucky on most of my trips. Thanks for watching!
Yes I was extremely lucky with the weather for sure! It took years of always going against the wind to get this lucky😅 Woodland Caribou is a magical place. It always will be! I’ll be back there again some day. No doubt about it!
Such a bizarre and unwarranted comment to make 🤔! Perhaps try yourself to film an incredible personal journey and post it for others to scrutinize. You may just learn something... if not about yourself then maybe about respect. This series has been nothing short of amazing in every aspect. My thoughts would be to appreciate it or move along...

Thanks soo much! That’s a big conpliment! It means a lot!🙏 I’ll be making many more videos!
Your still pictures are awesome. Love that you are taking your time out there and not rushing. Beer drop is amazing.
Thanks William! Yah the beer drop was a huge surprise! Super nice of the Superior airways guys!
Another stunning video, we are so fortunate that you are dragging as along.. cheers
Thanks Jim!
Good Lad. Always a good choice of music to tag along with. Thanks for having me. Enjoyed again. Cold beers looked awesome.

My pleasure Henry! Thank you for watching! 🙏🏼
Awesome yet again. I am not sure if I enjoy your videos or the amazing still shots more. Thanks Koen :)
Thanks Pam! I can tell you the in person experience trumps both video and still shots!
Another great video. Thanks 😊
Have loved following along on this epic trip. That shot beginning at 15:44 is absolutely stunning. Another great video buddy!

Forest fire smoke makes for the most amazing sunrises and sunsets! Then add some morning fog rising off the glass lake. Awesome.
The sunrise paddle section of the video was truly awe inspiring. You're living the dream out there. Makes great motivation for trip planning this season.
Oh it was a magical morning! I remember it like yesterday. I love waking up early and being on the water for sunrise!
You do amazing videos, quite an inspiration to get out there
Thanks soo much!!! My pleasure!😉
Another incredible journey thank you for the hours you've put into this to share it with us! Here's to many more journeys to be had :) 😎🙌

You have really lucked out with the weather so far, almost perfect conditions, looks like a great place to go on a canoe trip
Yes I was extremely lucky with the weather for sure! It took years of always going against the wind to get this lucky😅 Woodland Caribou is a magical place. It always will be! I’ll be back there again some day. No doubt about it!
okay, at the peace and quiet now... :)
It was a very peaceful trip!
Carbon nuggets are good as long as they're paired with other food's like rice, beens or lentils
Everything tastes better in the outdoors! The lentil soup is amazing for on trips. Easy and very nutritious and filling!
Is there deer in woodland caribou provincial park?
As far as I know Woodland Caribou is close to the northern border of their range. So maybe the odd one but I have never seen any.
I think the second dive was only a 7.2 . There was too much splash.
Omg, this cracked me up😆🤣 thanks for the laugh 😂
music is too loud - can't here narration that well - would be nice to enjoy the peace of the outdoors with you
I try to find the right balance! Im still learning!
With all the beautiful scenery, let’s see more of it and less of you. Not that you’re unattractive. It’s just that I watch for the scenery.
With all respect, I make my videos my way. These videos are as much about me and what I did on my first ever solo trip as about the scenery.

I really appreciate that comment!👌 thank you!!
