- Howdy! In this video we are exploring our newest template and making a zippered notebook. This notebook features plenty of pockets as well as holds a moleskinne brand (or similar) hard or soft notebook.

Thank you. I have only just started sewing and I came looking for a tutorial on sewing a zipper around a notebook cover. This is awesome, really helpful and exactly what I was looking for.
this is giving me some confidence to try a zip-around cover :) thank you!
Great looking notebook cover. Those zippers like that intimidate the hell outta me. I really appreciate that you show all the details even the oopsies , especially those, because it helps us know how to deal with them and be less afraid/intimidated to try in the first place. Thank you very much for another great video.
Great Job!!! I enjoy all your content Sir, thank you for what you do, even when you make a mistake you keep it real ! God bless!
Amazing work sat down and watched the whole thing 👍🏻
I love your explanations & instruction! Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Looks great. Love the pull-up markings!
Nice project, you make it look easy
this looks pretty cool, i cant wait to make it for myself after i build up my skiving skills
Your a GENIUS!!
Great video. Could you make a video about the gun holster you have?
I use grip tape on the back of my squares and rulers. I imagine you could put some grip tape in the corners to help with slipping on smooth leather.
Fantastic job. Do you think I would be just as successful hand stitching something like this or would a sewing machine be required? I’m going to try to modify the template so that I can fit a B5 notebook. That’s what I primarily use. I hope it works out. I’m so excited!! 😆 thank you so much for this video.
Hand stitching it might be a little slower, but it ensures success in catching all the layers. You'll do great.
I was wondering the same thing about hand stitching the zipper onto the project. I presume that I'd need sharp needles for the cloth of the zipper instead of my more blunt saddle needles.
I am finally getting to this project and am sewing it by hand. Do you think it would be easier to clip it together punch my holes then put on the zipper and then stitch it?
Id punch through the zipper tape as well. Otherwise it could be difficult to keep your stitches straight.
Could you use a different leather on the outside and stamp tool it?
Hi Aaron. Would that design work without a zipper? I've always preferred a journal cover that is either open or just has a snap. Thanks :-)
I suspect it would work just fine.
@@makersleathersupply1220 Thank you for your reply. I will order the template right now!!
can you please please ad a link for the black fabric lining that you used i am looking looking and looking on internet and i cant find it please help me thanks
there is absolutely nothing wrong with a guy using a sewing machine.. leather or otherwise. ;)
nice job with the zipper work, and thank you for showing the steps to get it right!
also, as someone that has been sewing since i was 5 yrs old, PLEASE - start your seams (the outer edges) at the LEAST noticeable part of the project, not the top, not on the front... you want to hide that start/stop as much as humanly possible.
and I get it, sometimes stuff happens that you cant help, but when ever possible hide those start/stops
Regalame una de esas camisetas😉
Link to supplies/template??
How about people who hand sew?
Everything is the same for hand sewing, just takes a little longer.
