    I truly believe that creating a regular home yoga practice will assist in making the planet healthier.
    Creating this ritual at home invites balance into the brain and body. And when you are balanced you are able to cultivate a relationship with yourself, your true inner voice.
    For me, the principle of Ahimsa is about having the courage to learn and develop your own inner voice.
    It is through this connection we can make peaceful moves of value.
    It’s through this connection that we can help each other and the planet.

      Hi,I have been struggling with back pain as well as leg pains
      .So I started trying your yoga channel... l love I have no back pain or leg pains..now o do this every day after work

      It is my first time to practice Ahimsa, and I love the breathing exercises and the almost meditating effect this practice brought out of me. Feeling calm.

    Right as I had my eyes closed and Adriene said “Receive your kiss,” my dog came and planted a kiss right on my lips. Made me smile. Beautiful practice!

    It’s been awhile since I’ve cried on my mat. I wasn’t expecting to cry in Sphinx pose when we turned to the left and Adriene said pretend now someone is giving you a soft kiss on your neck. I naturally thought about my boyfriend and was overwhelmed with gratitude. He is gentle with me always, he is kind and he is supportive. He is everything I left my last relationship for. He is a a gift from God. These were tears of gratitude and realizing just how thankful I am for him in my life. I thought about the word Ahimsa and doing no harm and this practice is beautiful. May we tell those we love them, those who support us and care for us deeply.

      the universal Mind is only ONE. ego believes in a fragmented world of persons/ masks, to which ego puts a name and assigns a role... it is all Ego projection.

    My anxiety was so bad today. I came to the mat in tears fighting an anxiety attack. I felt very much like I was drowning inside myself. As soon as I heard Adriene's voice I started to feel calmer. Seeing a friend when I felt so alone was so reassuring. I didn't instantly stop crying but I slowly found myself during this practice and was able to calm my nervous system in such a kind and loving way. I will be doing this practice more often to tend to the inner battle between me and my anxiety, depression and ocd. This is the worst day I have had in a long time and I was really scared. But this practice really pulled me up and out of the darkness which threatened to consume every part of me. I am so grateful for Adriene and Yoga and the ability to just breathe. This is true magical medicine. Thank You everyone else as well. Reading all the comments helps me feel connected and not alone. Namaste 💜

      Hello, 👋 I know it's not easy with Anxiety and ocd. And I know the drowning feeling you described all to well, as I have Anxiety and ocd too and have often struggled in the past. But like you I feel Adriene is a comforting friend who all ways heals me what ever my mood when I come on the mat. Her and her yoga Channel are a true gift to the world, one I think more people should discover. Yoga is so healing and truly a gift. I'm so glad it's helping you, it's helping me too and helping lots of people all around the world, it's the true healing power of yoga that connects us all.     Loved this! Such insight that we move the body mindfully, respecting the limits found and work without judgment. Watching our thoughts and emotions, so we can better choose a non-violent response. This practice promotes connection and unity, with ourselves and with others. It helps us to apply it to my daily life. To me that is what its all about.

    I cannot express how many times I have turned to your videos in moments of extreme stress and frustration.
    I utilize your videos almost everyday. When I don’t, I feel so off and I know it’s because I didn’t take the time to listen, care and love myself. And I can’t love others when my cup is empty.
    So thank you from the bottom of my heart for always being there. I hope one day I can meet you in person so I can share my appreciation 💕

    Wonderful! 😍 My cat was utterly confused by the horsy lips 😂 I wasn't planning on doing them, but then I saw how he perked up and looked at the screen when Adrien did them, so I had to try. He looked at me with utter bewilderment, I did it again and then he climbed up me to smell my lips and thoroughly inspect them. Pets truly add another element to at home yoga. 💚

    The Garden
    As you walk up to The Garden,
    The fountain drips with water.
    Slowly and methodically,
    All seeming like a dream,
    You quietly observe the beauty.
    The blossoms falling off the tree,
    The smell of wet dew lingering,
    The robins by the lake,
    The Sun watching the Sky,
    All seems too beautiful to see.
    But in the end,
    That's the way it is.
    The Garden is forgiving,
    The Garden is within,
    The Garden is always there,
    The Garden always wins.

      I am very tearful with this morning's practice as I try to accept love for myself right here in this place. Your poem did not help the teary-ness haha! But it is wonderful to read.     I love when your inner Texan comes out! We’ll go honky tonking song cracked me up! Really helpful the eyes closed times where we paused to tune into our bodies and I found I do often want to rush into a pose or posture and get it done. Thanks!!!❤ Oh and hurray for horsey lips!!! Lol!

    Adriene,
    thank you! This was my first ahimsa practice: I found place to lift and tensions to ease with the breath. I hadn’t realized before that I was clinching in the twist.
    On a spiritual level, it reminded me to be kind to myself by thinking non-harmful thoughts, one of the few things we can actually control. Thank you for reminding me that movement, thoughts, compassion all go together!

    I went with this Ahimsa practice as I was curious. My mind did wander to my arthritis pain in seated, but I listened and breathed deep. This is a slow, slow mindful sequence focusing on posture and inner connection. I relished that awesome Puppy Posture and Sphinx Pose. It felt great for my back after all my recent core strengthening swaps I’ve done lately. I feel very calm afterwards and it’s one of those very quiet, still, drizzly mornings here in England 🙏 see you tomorrow on the mat Adriene 🧘🏼‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️💕

      Good morning, Gill! I was curious too :). Calm, breezy, bird song morning here in New England...as we await a possible tropical storm/low level hurricane! Very fitting for this practice. I found it surprisingly strengthening and engaging - the half hour flew by. Loved "match (the trembling) with ease" and "try not to dictate, but invite". And YES, beloved puppy posture :).

      @@gillsmith6740 Thank you so much....we are fine, lots of wind and rain now and through the rest of the day/night but no hurricane force, fortunately. I just did another youtube yoga practice with my local teacher Chandra Cantor, and the concept of finding ease in ways other than at rest came up again....reminding me once more of "matching" the trembling (very evocative while watching the leaves and trees blowing outside my windows) with that ease. Such a good day for yoga (and tea, and books, and music....). Take care!

      My five year old with asthma tested positive for covid this past Thursday. It has been stressful and exhausting and anger-inducing. I'm sorry about your grandmother; know that there are people sharing your stress and burden here

      It’s been a week now, my grandmother has been discharged and is now at home with us, recovering.
      A week ago, i felt devastated and and scared. Feeling all these negative emotions. This yoga practice gave me strength.

    I am nervous about a doctors appointment this afternoon, and I was gonna skip yoga this morning and do it afterwards. But I’m so glad I didn’t. I really needed to be present in the moment. And my cat joined me on the mat several times and it all reminded me how loved and lucky I am, to be here, to be doing this, and I can face any challenge that comes my way. Thank you 🙏

    During the practice I got a lot a thoughts related to everything. It was like a was watching a movie with a lot of commercials that I couldn't switch off, but for me that is the essence of yoga, accepting your feelings and thoughts in the way that they are, without judgment of anger. Someday days the yoga practice goes so easy and smooth, others day it is so difficult to me; however I am here, almost every day, trying to accept to myself in the mood that I am.

    I had forgotten about this sequence which I last did more than a year ago I think. The 30+ minutes went by so quickly but certainly had a wonderful effect.

      Right! This practice flew by. If you asked me how long it was without knowing the length, I would have said 10-15 minutes haha. Felt amazing.

      Everything you said! I was so surprised and moved by how much strength we were building while staying low to the ground, and in such a sweet and gentle way. "Build strength, match it with ease". I had to chuckle at/to myself, as yesterday I did (and thoroughly enjoyed) a 50 minute "kick butt" tabata class with my favorite Y instructor - talk about another approach! Glad to realize I feel satisfied, inspired and energized with the combination.

    Day 4 of meditate
    I found that my mind always keep running into different thoughts and it's irritate me lot
    But today I choose to focus on my breath

      I have your same problem. My monkey mind always jumping from past to future, never anchoring to the present moment. But today I truly loved the practice, which was new to me, I moved like I loved myself, kep anchore to the breath and managed to " tame the monkey 🙊. Kind of...☺ Sending love 🙏

    Awesome session! Started with my neck stiffer than an ironing board and ended with no stiffness! Shoulders are feeling pretty good. Loved the repeat sphinx pose, cause it gives my beer belly a great rubber band stretch! Appreciate Ya!

    In the light of the attack in Syria yesterday this practice came at just the right time. No matter which "side" attacks, I believe they are wrong, I believe in non-violence. For me the practice got very emotional. At one point I felt I could just feel the pain of the victims... I just cried and kept going, now I do feel strengthened. I realize my life is very good compared to what others have to go through. A practice in loving-kindness is just what this world needs and you just uploaded one for anyone to engage in. I really am grateful yet again. It was a lovely half hour despite the emotion.

    Thank you Adriene from Australia. This practice was new to me. And was great to try something new and stay in the moment. Though, I found it to be hard sitting still in the moment as I wanted to get straight into moving the body and expecting to do downward facing poses.
    I started YOGA with Adriene for 30 days - MOVE on 1st January 2022 for the very first time and I’ve been trying new practices each day to find what feels good for my body and returning to the same practices. One of my favourites is Power Yoga Break to begin the day before going out the door. Thank you Adriene from the bottom of my heart to yours. 💜🙏

    Refresh Day 2: Wow, wow, wow! I would have never found this if it weren’t for these calendars. This just stole the #1 spot on my list of favorite YWA practices. I needed every single pose and every single breath in this. I have never sat taller than by the end of this video. Love it. Thank you as always, Adriene.

    This felt like 10 minutes long this was amazing this is my first ahimsa practice and I really loved the non harming concept of this practice I found that my mind was overloaded with so many thoughts at the start of this practice but I had the chance to continuously practice conscious breathing the whole time and I noticed myself becoming much more present ❤️ namaste everyone

    REFRESH 💦 | April 2, 2022 | Love this practice and would love to see more Ahimsa focused practices. It's such a great reminder to have patience, to pay attention to how we move into the pose, not just the pose itself.     Finished a rainy-cold day of planting and grafting many fruit trees with friends. A muddy pup by my side, breathing along to some subtle poses that were totally new to me. YES!

    "Don't underestimate the power of horsey lips." True 4 years ago, still true today☺️ Do no harm- realized that is such a big part of what has made my experience with yoga with Adriene so wonderful, and have been learning this principal subtly through these practices all along. Today it reached through on a deeper level even, in a way that I will be carrying off the mat.

    Day 4 Nov 4 2022. After checking the calendar and seeing a 35mins yoga, I was apprehensive. But as i eased into it, was loving it. This made me honor myself, love myself a bit more. The awesome in me bows down to the awesome in you. Lets keep going guys! 😊

    Wow. My new years resolution was yoga every day of 2022. i have stuck with it this far and am on day 2 of Refresh. I needed this way more than even I realized!     This was so perfect for me today. Physically tired from walking yesterday and precious days, so far just over 50 miles this month for charity. My aim is 62 miles in August. Also perfect for me today as like many people out there I have a fair bit of stress going on at the moment. I really appreciated the slowness and the breathing. Thank you so much. xx
