Wow! Amazing. I feel so much taller and so relaxed but yet like I worked it a little. 😀 As always thank you. I truly appreciate what you do for us all.
I am staying with one of my best friends during this uncertain time (I can’t return to my home country). She has two cats, one of them is named Dude. In wide legged forward fold, he used me as a tunnel. It made me so happy. It was silly but it’s the little things in life that matters. Take one day at a time. We all got this! Love
@@meiyueliu1400 I'm from Sweden but stuck in Costa Rica so it could have been SO much worse but the fact that I have been away from family and friends for about 4 and a half months is more sad :/ How is the situation where you are? Many cases?
Isa Beronius I am sorry to hear that, but wish you all the best! We just need to stay connected with our loved ones and continuing being kind. It doesn’t seem to bad since I am staying at home most of the time in a little bubble. I don’t personally know anyone who has caught it.
I made a rule that I'd never read UA-cam comments as they tend to be really negative, but since starting yoga with Adriene I've gotten into the habit of reading them after every session. The comments on this channel are so hopeful and uplifting. Today, on this post, they made me cry. Thank you so much Adriene for helping us all through a difficult time.
I totally agree. I never read comments. But every time I do Adriene's yoga practice, I make it a point to like it, comment, and read some comments. Almost all are so beautiful and a strong dose of positivity !
I almost don't want to admit that I do this video every day. I'm 59, and I need a good, deep daily stretch. It sounds cheesy, but after two years of daily Yoga with Adriene my body is feeling so much more youthful. Thank you, Adriene!
I almost gave up half way because i was floaded with all kind of negative thoughts. I was fed up, paused the video and got out of my lunge. But then i thought that those bad feelings are the exact reason why i should go on. So i did, and now i'm so proud of myself for finishing the video and i can feel that i let some of the negativity go away. 🙏
Writing another comment since I've been doing this practice for 5 months now. When I started I had sciatica pain alternating down both legs and knee pain in my left. I walked with a limp. After 5 months of doing this just 3 times a week, I am now walking 95% pain free. Way better than any other exercise or medication could have done. I never thought I'd walk again or be able to chase after my 2 year old daughter. Thank you so much Adriene!!
@@tomandjennacali1879 just take it easy when you start out. Don't push your body to do something that will hurt it. Over time, you will become more flexible and really start to see the improvements!
Couldn’t be happier to read this comment. Been struggling with sciatica pain for years now and only recently realizing yoga brings me more pain relief than any physical therapy or medication. And a bonus, it’s good for the mind
I have been doing this yoga practice every day for almost 3 months now and here are the changes I noticed: 1. I can breathe deeper and fuller. 2. My body is becoming slimmer and fitter and dare I say more attractive (I'm not doing any exercises other than this one). I can see the most changes on my face, arms and back. 3. I became even more in love with my body. 4. My voice has more depth to it when I speak, probably thanks to the changes in my breathing. This is actually an awesome thing for a teacher like me. *5. My experience this morning: I had a stomachache due to my overeating last night. After doing the practice, I felt light in my tummy and all the uncomfortable feelings went away. Only the first 15 minutes of this practice, every day, for 3 months really transformed my body. I initially did it to relieve tension in my body after a whole day of working. Now I'm continuing it because it makes me feel good and more in love with myself. Final words: Find what feels good.
Thank you so much for sharing this, this is really helpful and insightful. Thank you for the motivation and for documenting and sharing your results with this community. So much love for this post!
This is simply beautiful. Thank you for sharing. The light in me recognizes the light in you! Keep falling in love with yourself! We are in this together!
@@chochooshoe I think she means that the first 15 mins of strengthening and the deep stretches afterwards are the important thing. Saying you don’t have time for 45 minutes of stretching a day is a lie. It’s just about prioritizing. :)
@@mz9977 that is tough love advice but it is so true. I used to think I didn’t have time for a lot of things and then I decide to replace those words with “I haven’t made this a priority” and it sucks to say that about things you find important. It definitely changed the way I managed my time and I began to “find the time” for things that mattered.
I recently relapsed after almost six months of sobriety and I've been feeling a lot of shame and guilt. I'm so grateful to have your videos to turn to Adriene, they are such a source of comfort during dark times. I'm also realising how much I'm beginning to practice yoga off the mat, by being kind and reminding myself to focus on the present moment. Thank you ❤️
@@melrye7350 thank you so much, I appreciate your kindness 💕 it really is such a process but I'm learning so much about myself along the way. I hope you are having a beautiful week x
You are awesome for moving forward and what the first reply said is true, recovery isn’t linear and everyone has their own road to walk. I wish you the best on your road!
Be kind to yourself. Those 6 months of sobriety still belong to you and are still YOUR accomplishent. Healing isn't always linear and that's ok. Shame and guilt is also understandable and normal, but doesn't help you or anyone else. Congrats on your past 6 months and congrats on whatever you accomplish in the future.
Love this channel. I do a 20-30 minute spin, 20-30 minute weight training, this 45 min video and then a 15-20 minute guided meditation. This routine has without any doubt changed my life. I try to do it 5 times a week but 4 has been the average. Unbelievable results in mind and body. Amazing what a little self care and love does to your entire existence. Got me out of a deep depression.
That sounds like a brilliant idea. I might take on that routine for myself! It's incredible how impactful self-care and exercise can be when you struggle with mental illness.
I would love to hear more! My husband is in constant back pain (he's been in the military in a physical job for 20+ years and it's taking a toll). What made you start yoga and what keeps you coming back? Any tips on convincing my husband to do this with me?
Dear Adrienne, plz never never delete this video. I practice this video every day. It's the only thing which is helping me heal after a traumatic and confusing event. I think I'm going to have to do this routine every day for atleast a year to totally heal; maybe even longer than that. So plz don't delete it. I always worry that you'll delete and that I won't know what to do next. X
I feel you. I have recently learned there are 22 million other women out there dealing with PTSD from relationship trauma... Adrienne is a HUGE part of my healing routine!
Slept like absolute crap last night, so I'm very happy this was a 45 minute stretch yoga and not a 45 minute flow yoga. Really liked that entrance into lizard, and that was the closest I've come to feeling at ease in cow legs. Day 370 of the current run.
I've been a yoga practitioner/instructor for ten yeras and I can say I genuinely never *got* yoga until I started practicing your videos at home. Your focus on kindness, understanding your body, and valuing *how* and why you practice--instead of "get this shape" "watch me stand on my head" "I'm so flexible and so fast!" has been a revelation. Thank you for all you do!
I'm 76, have done yoga most of my life and am always pleased to find practices that I've never done and with such positive results, physically and sensorially. Thank you Adriene.
We have an amazing PE teacher and he's assigned yoga once a week for our 11 year old's fitness log. He always chooses your videos and has grown to really love it. He just came out and said "Mom, thanks for not disturbing me. I was doing yoga and I really needed it." I've been a long time fan and I'm so happy to say it's a family affair now. Thank you so much for all you do!
A first! Cow pose. I think going into it from all fours helped make this pose more assessable. Day 4 of third month of daily practice. This is the longest time that I’ve done daily yoga and is something I’ve been wanting to incorporate into my life!❤
This practice was difficult for me today. Right when you said release in the beginning I began to cry like a little kid again wanting to see my Dad. I had a hard time with my breath because I was crying, but it helped when you told me to listen to it. It was painful to go through this practice because I just wanted to get off my mat and cry, but I told myself that I was safe and okay to cry during the practice. When I say painful I mean to face my grief. I’m glad I continued though. Thank you Adriene.
You're doing the hard work of feeling your feelings Valerie. That is going to be the path forward through the pain. I'm proud of you for showing up for yourself both on and off the mat. Take good care!
I also cried during this practice. Like you, I wanted to give up and retreat to my bed but I felt so much gratitude for myself once I finished. Even gave myself a big hug during shavasana. Thanks for sharing your experience! Made me feel less alone 🫀
I am a cranky old guy who flys a lot, and late on Thursday night when I get home I am exhausted. When I wake up on Friday I am tight and just not feeling it. I have made it mandatory for me to take time every Friday morning, about an hour after I wake up, to run through this routine. When I am done I feel almost new. A few weeks ago I had something to do that prevented me from this routine on Friday. i felt out of it all day. So first thing Saturday I ran through it and it made a significant difference on the rest of the weekend. The rest of the week I follow one of the other programs, but on Friday I have to do the deep stretch. This is a great program and I am so happy I found it. Thank you so much for putting this program on youtube.
Unfortunately for work, I travel over 40 weeks a year, the airlines are making the seats narrower, and reducing the leg room. I am tall and a little overweight, yet when people a lot more overweight, keep hitting you in the ribs, taking part of your seat or someone dropping the back of their seat into my knees, it is very hard to not be more cranky. I use the yoga with Adriene to help chill out.

Aw the first comment made me sad...we like everyone, because hate doesn't conquer hate, only love and compassion does that - even for cranky old guys. It's always about trying, learning, improving and constantly growing and it sounds like you are doing your best. Much love to you.
I have chronic pain on the right side of my back, glutes and hips. I have come back to this yoga routine regularly over the past several years because it's the only thing that actually makes me feel better and not worse like many yoga classes I've attended. Thank you Adriene x a million!
I know it is said that trauma often resides in our hips. At the very end of this practice I had a powerful release of emotion during the final stretch. How powerful!
I am also a trauma thriver, but Im always in constant fight, flight, freeze or fawn mode): As a result my digestion is weak, sleep is dream disturbed, and chronic brain fog and fatigue. This practice actually brought me into parasympathetic mode
I have struggles with my left hip but also in my back and i love doing yoga cuz it helps me mindfully relax because i feel like i have a constant flight response in my body, which makes my body shake or vibrate kinda feeling. Anyone else have that feeling?
@@SofieHag yes, I experience it, too, and the shaking can be a good thing! Not sure if it’s exactly what you’re talking about, but you may want to check out trauma/tension release exercises (TRE). Lots of videos on UA-cam that explain it and how tremors can be used to release stress
@@SofieHag same thing happens to me ! Especially when I’m mediating, I literally start to shake uncontrollably and I realize it’s just the trauma trying to be released out of my body.
When I was a competitive powerlifter in the 90s, yoga was the only thing that kept me injury free. Good on you for incorporating yoga into your practice. It definitely helps you learn how to create the "fused tetanus" necessary for a successful lift!
Doday is my 38th birthday 🥳, so I started this beautiful day @7am with my favourite ever Yoga practice!! This was a planned action to honour my beautiful body!!🧘The sun is literally just coming out to play as I write this and I am really looking forward to enjoying the rest of the day!! Hope you all have a great day too!!☀️🤸🥰
You are truly the best teacher I've found. Even better than the two in-person classes I've taken. I hope you know what a gift you are giving everyone with access to these well-thought out, empowering, comforting videos. I always have a smile at the end, even on the worst days. I came close to quitting life entirely a couple of weeks ago. While waiting for my ex to pick up our 10-year-old, i did one of your videos, (I think the 20 minute morning one) and by the end i thought that if i could still feel this great and have a smile, even for a brief moment, it was worth giving life a shot. Thank you. So much. I know I sound crazy, but you really should know that you have made such a difference for one person, with ripple effects already reaching my family, friends, and kids. "He who saves one life saves the world".
I hurt my lower back at work almost 2 months ago (I am an EMT and a big part of my job is lifting people) and I haven’t been the same since. About a week ago it got so bad I had to leave work because I couldn’t even bend over, let alone pick people up. I was told from a friend about yoga and how it helped her recover from a back injury. I’ve been watching your routines for about a week now, doing at least once a day and I already feel better than I have in months. I can actually bend down to tie my shoes or bend over to wash my hands and brush my teeth (I dreaded that every night because it was for sure going to bring me pain). I just wanna thank you, from a person who’s never done yoga or anything of the like before for putting out these videos and helping me. I thought my back and body was going to be ruined forever but now I have hope I’ll make a full recovery. Along with that I think I have found a new passion that will keep my body and mind healthy for the years to come. Again thank you so much Adriene!!
David De Loco I am a dental hygienist and my body is already killing me a year in. Thank you for saying this to Adrienne! It makes me hopeful that it will work for me as well ❤️
David De Loco I totally agree with you! When I stopped doing it for a few days my back is in agony right now. So cheers to straightening things out again.
I am following the calendar for the first time since September. I've only just recovered from Covid19 and this session was absolutely perfect. I'm not as flexible as I'd like to be but your non-judgmental, supportive approach makes me feel so good about my progress. Thank you.
Exhale day 4 March 2024🦋 I was so sleepy before I started but by the end of practice, I felt fresh and full of beans😄 Thank you, Adriene and Benji🌸 Thank you everyone for sharing this practice with me🌸
To anyone looking to deepen their practice: incorporating this routine into my week 1-3 times a week has increased my flexibility and has been noticeable in my daily practice when doing other sequences. Highly recommend it! And to those struggling with the last pose: me too! LOL
Just wanted to thank you. In the military and 36 years of abusing my body in different sports I couldn't sit with my legs crossed at 45 degrees up without hurting. One week into your 30 day program along with this stretch video daily has be sitting Indian style with no pain. My back also feels alot better. Also love your energy from inside that can be felt through video. Guru Benji also awesome. Thanks again for these great videos.
I know this video is old. I love it and do it regularly. I do notice that she stretches much longer on one side than the other on many of these. I would love a new version of this with more "evenness"on both sides ❤
I do this one several times a week, and I just switch sides every time I do it to compensate for the unevenness, so one day I'll follow the video, the next I'll do left when she does right and vice versa. I agree a new version with better timing would be lovely though!
I just noticed that I posted comments on this 3 years ago AND 2 years ago...and here I am again. lol...in the midst of a truly spiritual journey and it's no surprise that it led me back to you and my yoga practice that I abandoned months ago.
I am always a bit reticent when this one appears on a calendar but manage to start and complete it. Great for practicing perseverance but gently, not with struggle. The last stretchy bit always sees me not much forward of sitting up straight. I do not know how Adriene bends so far forward not if I will ever even get close. But I found the space where I was and relaxed into it. Happy Sunday everyone. Nourish day 28. 420 days in a row.
@@safafaridi7093 Nourish was the title of one of the monthly playlists/calendars from Yoga With Adriene. They're comprised of past videos, often with one ot two new practices. You can find them on her channel & follow along :)
When you thought today was hour weight loss yoga, been getting myseld mentally prepared, then realize its 45 min deep stretch. Talk about a nice surpise!!! Love you Adriene! You give me sanity in this choatic world!!!
SAME, i spent all day yesterday going 'its okay you can do 45min its fine you got this" thinking it was going to be plank and pushup heavy. It was a wonderful surprise.
Amazing to have come across a YWA video in her monthly calendars that I don't think I've ever done before! It felt brand new to me, and it was wonderful. It didn't feel like 45 minutes! Continuing to cultivate love for myself. The light in me bows to the light in each of you 🧘🏻♀🙏🏻
Working out at the gym has been going great and I’m making better strength gains. The only thing I lacked was recovery and flexibility which are 2 IMPORTANT aspects of building a stronger body. I decided to try this yoga session and wow this is amazing. I feel recovered and less sore from my workouts. I’ll be be incorporating it to my schedule from now on. Yoga is amazing, especially for a strength trainer.
When you said that the video was almost over I actually said, aloud, "no, it can't be!" because that was the fastest 45 mins of my life! I enjoyed the struggle today! Deep stretches are my fave and I needed the badly - even just lying on the mat made my back happy. Added to my list of videos to do more often because I'm determined to get my elbow on the floor in seated wide leg!
This is what I needed for my Sunday Morning yoga. It's my day off so I was looking for a longer program. I do the 15 minute yogas before work each morning but that is all the time I have. This one had me really stretching and trying to control my breathing. I'm awake now!😃
This practice is my all time favourite of Yoga with Adriene. I have had lower back pain for the past 3 years and within the last six months that I have been doing videos with Yoga with Adriene I have felt so much better. Thank you so much for your time and for sharing these helpful videos Adriene 🙏🏼
Adriene - as one who does many on-line classes, I found this to be an outstanding combination of gentle and accessible transitions to many poses that are as deep and challenging, as we are able to perform. My 50 y/o body is recovering from recent over-doing a run, and really appreciate the non-painful deep stretch. With gratitude for your instruction - Cheers, Adrian
Adrienne is my absolute fav yoga teacher. She’s so considerate and calm and you just know she does it cause she loves it and wants other people to feel good, no showing off, no stress, just relaxation and kindness :) xx
I am so grateful to have found your channel. I have a long history of stress symptoms with diagnosis’ like fibromyalgia and pelvic/back pain in my backpack and I have tried so many things - also yoga. But no one has really gotten my attention like you. You are calm, funny and just great at what you do. I am challenging myself to do your March 2024 program and I am already loving it and I am excited to feel the change in my mind and body. Thank you so much. Greetings from Denmark 🧘🏻♀️❤️
Thank you Adriene for your yoga videos. I suffer with PTSD, and there are times where my anxiety is so bad I feel like I'm dying. Your yoga teachings have helped save my life. I can walk on my mat feeling like there is no escape, but each time I step off the mat feeling both strong & at peace, 2 feelings I rarely experience elsewhere. Please know how helpful & appreciated your yoga teachings are!
During the left foot one, I knocked into my air mattress (I stood it up) and the air mattress hit my mirror I had to get the fuck up so quick to prevent my mirror from breaking. Yeah I need money for yoga classes cuz my bedroom is the size of a closet

I looked at the schedule and thought, "I really do not want to do 45 minutes today." Then I read my previous comment from eight months ago. Initially reading how difficult I had found the first part did not help. But then I noticed I had found encouragement that day as the practice moved along. So I decided to just do it. And although I still look at this deceptively slow practice as one of the more difficult ones on the YWA channel, I did find my experience a bit easier. Process day 18. 287 days in a row.
Thank you for sharing this content. I am 42 years old and was diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the hip last year. I started doing yoga and pilates every day and it has improved my pain a lot, I hardly take any medication anymore. I want to thank you and all the UA-cam instructors who dedicate their time and knowledge to share it with others. Thank you. Best regards.
As some one starting my extreme weight loss journey, I’ve lost all confidence in going to the gym, I started working out at home for fear of being “the fat guy” at the gym, which means I haven’t gone to my favorite yoga class in months and your videos are really helping me and gonna be a big part of this journey for me
I was having a bad day, so I decided to do tomorrow's practice today and I'm so glad I did 💕 There is nothing like a deep stretch to help alleviate stress and anxiety.
"maybe lift the corners of the mouth" I see you Adrian ;) Also Benji is so chill. It would be funny if you filmed Benji stretching and then cut up all the footage for a "Benji flow" with you narrating over it
I never thought after all these years with you, Adrien, that I'd find a new favorite practice! This was amazing and JUST what I needed this morning. Thank you.
wow this is my first time practicing yoga in a while and i thought i was going to be very bored but 45 minutes flew by and i found myself wanting more!
Hey Adriene, I know it isn't much but it's what I have. I know you understand the concept "every little bit counts" because most people who have healed before- from whatever it may have been- we all learn to appreciate the little things in life. I hope you have a very blessed day...keep doing what you're doing... you don't realize the impact it can have on someone. Thanks for being that "impact" for me. Yoga was one of the things that brought me my soul back
This is probably my favourite Adriene's practice. It's challenging. Sometimes I can follow along, sometimes I can't. But everytime I end up feeling like I have a new body
My hips have always been so tight (this practice kicked my ass!), and I just wanted to thank you for empowering me to watch out for myself and my body during your classes! I have had a lot of teachers in my life (mostly other sports but yoga as well) who didn't take my limitations seriously because I am young and relatively fit. With you I can feel safe, connect to my breath and change the practice so that it is perfect for my needs. Thank you so much!
Quickly becoming part of my Sunday Self-Care routine. I love how Adrienne is always taking us through yoga consciously, it's never rushed, it's always encouraging and very therapeutic. Makes the mat one of the safest and grounding spaces. Thank you for that.
If you plan on repeating this one, make sure to document your “before”!! My flexibility has increased like crazy and today’s session just hit another level lol
@@monikam618 honestly i did her videos at 2-3 a week for 2 years and was able to point my toes without having painful cramping. Not only was it a physical benefit, my focus strengthened knowing this was tire t myself for myself
I have cerebral palsy and I can’t do a lot of stretching without being in a lot of pain. I’ve been trying to do yoga but no one around me does it. This video has made me feel amazing and I feel so relaxed. I’ve never felt this good after a stretch. Thank you!!
I have taken this class soooo many times over the years and keep returning to it as it has for me the perfect combination of deep stretching and I love the reminders to be present and in the moment and also remind us of the wholeness of mind and body and breath. Thank you for all you continue to do!
Sometimes Adriene says “bring your elbows to the ground” and I’m like ‘oh wow, I can actually do this!’ And other times like in that last stretch I’m just there, looking at the ground, miles away, slowly dying while just reaching my hands forward 😅
Loool u made me laugh so hard it is literally the same for me but u know what my mom couple of years ago was as stiff as a concrete building and right now she is more flexible than my cats 😂😂😂😂 she has been doing yoga for 5 years now and i want to become like her a better version of myself
Hi Adriene, I want you to know I've been practicing with your yoga videos for nearly 3 years, and it's been quite a journey. Just getting around to saying thank you! I've learned so much through you; that my center is more than a physical locus in my body. That the breath is important on and off the yoga mat, and bringing awareness to it can bring great peace of mind. I've become more intelligent and in tune with when my body needs rest, and when I can light the fire! That rest is not just physical, it's mental as well. That mind and body are always talking to each other, and listening to that gives us greater control over our lives. The biggest lesson I have learned is that the present moment is all that we are, and ever had, and it is from here that all that is good comes to life. I could keep going, but know that your reach goes beyond your subscribers, class attendees, followers; the light you put into the world radiates from person to person. This particular practice came after a day of much needed rest, and you are always here for me to provide the tools and resources to maintain my well being. You're a blessing to all! Namaste
I have done this stretch several times when feeling tight and a bit tired, stressed or overwhelmed and it never fails to make me feel calm and relaxed. Thank you so much Adriene :)
After doing a free yoga lesson with Adriene nearly daily for about a year now, I wanted to send a big, big THANK YOU to you, dear Adriene, for making the life of so many people better by offering your wonderful yoga sessions! I really think, especially this deep stretch lesson is awesome and important, as it unties so many tightnesses and knots inside and out and really makes you feel better. In our lifes it is so often about tempo, strength and success - we should more often remember to breath, relax and stretch out. Thank you!! ;-*
Day 1 of trying to heal my chronic back pain and pelvic pain. I am going to try and do this practice every day. I will comment every month or so with updates. I used to do yoga with Adrienne through lockdown, and this is one I did a lot. Fast forward 4 years and I haven’t done any yoga since 2021 I think, so doing this was ROUGH! The pain I am in from my physical job is no joke. I’ve been on the verge of leaving work. BUT I’m hoping I can heal myself. Let’s see how this goes…
Haven’t done yoga with you in awhile, but I still look forward to that “take the deepest breathe you’ve taken all day.” Thanks Adrienne, watched your videos all during 2020 covid and I’m still here in 2024
Never in my life have I ever done yoga, and decided today was the time to start! Thank you for being so real and honest! This will forever be saved to learn this routine without looking at the screen
This video is my safe space, so to speak. I selected it for the first time when I wanted to get back to yoga after years of not practicing. This is how I met Adriene. Gradually I came back and tried other videos, and now I've been practicing every day for over a year. I keep circling back to this one when I want to treat myself, or if I need some care. Thank you Adriene!
I am a hairstylist and standing straight up everyday for hours with not much lateral movement, this is justvwhat i needed. Especially the first bit with elbow on the floor. Oh,my goodness. The stretching was phenomenal. Ty!
This was the first YWA video I ever followed and, four years later, I doubt I will ever cease to benefit from it. Every time I redo it, I am surprised by exactly how well it makes me feel!
I thought I was the only one who can't do the final stretch until I decided to read the comments. Now I know Im not alone and it is okay and normal to just stare at the ground (for now) like miles away 😁😁😁 we got this!!!! 💪
Recently started weightlifting and realized it makes me super stiff. So here I am, back on the mat, stretching out the sore muscles and trying to get rid of a lingering discomfort in my lower back. 45 mins later, I feel better than ever! Thank you Adrienne!
hey yeah can i get some help with the last one? i feel so useless when she starts because one, my legs cant go that wide, and two when they go kind wide i can barley get my finger tips down. what variations should i be doing?
I'm with you on this one, I need to add a step: extend one leg at a time and pull your core towards it, placing your hands on either side of your mat/knee/ankle, wherever they reach. Bear with it for as long as you can on each side and you'll notice more flexibility. For the final pose, I hold a piece of furniture (like the corner of my bedpost) to help pull my core forwards, even if it's just something you can touch it helps focalize your stretch. And soon enough we'll be able to reach the floor :)
This has helped me learn to love myself. I do yoga whenever I have racing thoughts, or negativity slowly enters my life. It is so calming, and rather than quick decision making, I allow myself time to breathe it out, and overall, work it out! Thank you so much! I love you as a person Adriene! You too Benji! I love seeing you!
"Guru Benji" (with accent) got me. 😅 what a joyful way to begin this practice with a belly laugh that I really needed. Benji being in your videos truly adds something special. Its obvious to me that being so present around a regular yoga practice transfers positive energy to him too ✨️
I have started doing this routine regularly almost every day when the quarantine began...I have done it for about 2 weeks now and I already noticed a huge difference in flexibility. Thanks Adriene for this awesome practice!
As a man who has been into fitness for quite some time, this yoga deep stretch is not too easy and not too hard. I'ts actually quite right. Thank You. Have a Blessed day🙏
That was a beautiful way to start my Monday morning. Thank you so much Adriene, for all the beautiful, and wonderful yoga you give us. I wasn't sure when I saw it was 45 minutes, if I could do it, but I did, and after 1 year 112 days of daily yoga. I found it easier then I expected, and quite beautiful. It was so refreshing to dive deep into stretching, and sinking up with the breath. To be solely focused on the slow gentle movements, and breath, it really helped me to let go of some stress I didn't even know I had. Thank you Adriene & Benji, from my heart to yours Namaste. 🙏 ❤ 🐕🧘♀️
This is my favorite stretching video, I try to do it once every week or two. Felt right to start the new year with it 🥳 highly recommend for anyone working on strengthening hips and core for low back pain relief. Would love some pointers on getting the most out of that last forward stretch though- I feel like I'm barely able to move forward and it doesnt feel like I've made much progress.
My kitten is really shy around strangers, even ones on TV. The second I put on one of your videos for the first time since I got her, she heard your voice and she literally would not stop trying to curl up on the keyboard to cuddle you. Which restarted the video about ten times hahaha. Love your channel
Wow! Amazing. I feel so much taller and so relaxed but yet like I worked it a little. 😀
As always thank you.

Love
I can't returen to my home country either... Where are you right now? :)
Isa Beronius I am sorry to hear that. I am currently in Edinburgh. What about you? Where are you from?

No need to feel bad for admitting that! It’s a great habit to be doing this daily!
You should feel super proud!!😊
So do I. Everyday on repeat! ❤
You’re awesome!!! I want to do this everyday too
That's a great achievement! Celebrate yourself😊🎉
Same feelings here, im so proud i finished it. Congratulate for ourselves! ❤🎉
I felt like that too I'm glad I'm not alone in this
❤

same, I had to read the comments for motivation, this is making me decide to finish!
Thank you so much Adriene!!
omg I am so glad I looked at this comment. I am dealing with this exact problem right now and was worried I shouldn't be doing some of this! thanks!

Wow! Celebrating your healing and consistency! You stuck to it and now see the benefits. 🎉💗
I have been doing this yoga practice every day for almost 3 months now and here are the changes I noticed:
We are in this together!
good to hear you only did the first 15 mins...I'm envious of people who have 45 mins just to stretch everyday..

Do you have any guided meditation recommendations?
I’ve practiced this video 2x per week for 3 years. It changed my life. No more pain!!!
This practice is a life changer. I have been doing it for 5 years now. It truly has taken away so much chronic pain.

Good morning nice girl how are you doing your very nice and beatifull good work
I'm 76, have done yoga most of my life and am always pleased to find practices that I've never done and with such positive results, physically and sensorially. Thank you Adriene.
I wanna be you when I grow up up!!
A first!

I got teary-eyed reading this comment! Just like Cheryl said, facing your feelings is hard work. Sending love
I also cried during this practice. Like you, I wanted to give up and retreat to my bed but I felt so much gratitude for myself once I finished. Even gave myself a big hug during shavasana. Thanks for sharing your experience! Made me feel less alone 🫀
You're awesome Valerie, Thanks for sharing your vulnerability.
Thank you so much for putting this program on youtube.
we don't like you cranky old guys
Unfortunately for work, I travel over 40 weeks a year, the airlines are making the seats narrower, and reducing the leg room. I am tall and a little overweight, yet when people a lot more overweight, keep hitting you in the ribs, taking part of your seat or someone dropping the back of their seat into my knees, it is very hard to not be more cranky. I use the yoga with Adriene to help chill out.

Well done! I'm on 14 days and it's the best thing I've ever done to be fair.

I was having a bad day, so I decided to do tomorrow's practice today and I'm so glad I did 💕 There is nothing like a deep stretch to help alleviate stress and anxiety.
"maybe lift the corners of the mouth" I see you Adrian ;) Also Benji is so chill. It would be funny if you filmed Benji stretching and then cut up all the footage for a "Benji flow" with you narrating over it
Yes please, my dog would truly appreciate some Benji flow :D

I never thought after all these years with you, Adrien, that I'd find a new favorite practice! This was amazing and JUST what I needed this morning. Thank you.
Okay but why did this seem shorter than yesterday's 13 min upper body workout?😂
Loving the June 2020 calendar! ❤️
I was just thinking the same thing!
So true :D

Try this whole body sequence- Surya Namaskar. You will love it 👉🏼 ua-cam.com/video/a5hyqvYTuXM/v-deo.html
wow this is my first time practicing yoga in a while and i thought i was going to be very bored but 45 minutes flew by and i found myself wanting more!
Yess me too I got through 30 minutes with no problem
I managed to get my upper body flat against the floor during the last stretch! Huge milestone for me :)
Good stop being fat
Hey Adriene, I know it isn't much but it's what I have. I know you understand the concept "every little bit counts" because most people who have healed before- from whatever it may have been- we all learn to appreciate the little things in life. I hope you have a very blessed day...keep doing what you're doing... you don't realize the impact it can have on someone. Thanks for being that "impact" for me. Yoga was one of the things that brought me my soul back
Those hip openers man... This one always brings up trauma and makes me cry. Namaste x
Since finding Adriene a few years ago I don't follow anyone else for yoga. She's fantastic, her videos are so good! Hope you all have a great day :D x
Same!
Hello Cassie how often do u do this practice per week?

Wow I actually gave my thinking mind a break. 45 minutes went in total surrender. I feel amazing thank you 🙏
Sometimes Adriene says “bring your elbows to the ground” and I’m like ‘oh wow, I can actually do this!’ And other times like in that last stretch I’m just there, looking at the ground, miles away, slowly dying while just reaching my hands forward 😅
Current situation im like how tf is she doin tht 😂😂😂
I'm feeling this too 😁
Loool u made me laugh so hard it is literally the same for me but u know what my mom couple of years ago was as stiff as a concrete building and right now she is more flexible than my cats 😂😂😂😂 she has been doing yoga for 5 years now and i want to become like her a better version of myself
Haha true! I was reaching so hard I got a boner, it was so weird
same here hahaha
Namaste
@@aecha2588 Both is better.
I have done this stretch several times when feeling tight and a bit tired, stressed or overwhelmed and it never fails to make me feel calm and relaxed. Thank you so much Adriene :)
Self- isolating because of the Coronavirus, I feel more peaceful after this!
Thank you!! ;-*
The fastest 45 minutes of my life... totally gonna return to this one! :o
That was 45 minutes. It's already 1:00 in the morning, wtf.
That 45 minutes felt like 10. Such a great feeling!!
This felt like torture but the good kind of torture :)
You’ve found the best teacher! Enjoy.
@taylormay1995 Stick with it, it will do you so much good. And Adriene got everything right, the moves and the words. Enjoy, namaste!
@Tough Guy hope you are hanging in there and yoga helps easing your mind. Take care. Namaste
Hey You, dear soul, thanks for the sunday love letter 🧡 Wish you all have an amaizing week ahead 🙏 Namaste
Recently started weightlifting and realized it makes me super stiff. So here I am, back on the mat, stretching out the sore muscles and trying to get rid of a lingering discomfort in my lower back.
45 mins later, I feel better than ever!
Thank you Adrienne!
The last stretch was impossible for me ,but enjoyed totally
hey yeah can i get some help with the last one? i feel so useless when she starts because one, my legs cant go that wide, and two when they go kind wide i can barley get my finger tips down. what variations should i be doing?
This is real- it’s the only position in this sequence that throws me everytime.
Ugh yes. Need a variation for the last one. I usually do butterfly.
Me too!
Loved this slow practice for a Sunday afternoon. 150 days in I just realised I no longer panic when I see it's a longer video. 🥰
150 days in you are inspiring. I could barely keep my pizza down last night lol keep at it!
@@punkswithaloha 😍🤣😍
Yes! I used to cherry pick shorter videos but now go looking for longer ones like this - it’s become the best part of my day 🥰
@@katiemc535 me too 🥰
150 days of what?
Thank You. Have a Blessed day🙏
Did it before my 7 hour flight. It was magic. Felt refreshed after the flight. No aches.
Would love some pointers on getting the most out of that last forward stretch though- I feel like I'm barely able to move forward and it doesnt feel like I've made much progress.
im stuck the same, not sure if i can really make progress there without s different intermediate stretch
My kitten is really shy around strangers, even ones on TV. The second I put on one of your videos for the first time since I got her, she heard your voice and she literally would not stop trying to curl up on the keyboard to cuddle you. Which restarted the video about ten times hahaha. Love your channel
In fact it is interesting! My cat never pays atention to TV or computer but he was really staring at Adriane and trying to touch her:).
This kitten speaks for all of us
This is probably the 10th or so time I’ve done this practice in the last 3 years. It’s so good, I always feel like reborn afterwards. So so good.
