Today’s episode is a milestone. Back in March 2020, when COVID shut down my community yoga class, I discovered Yoga with Adriene. I started at the beginning with the very first video and as of this morning, have worked through all 741 of them, saving 124 to my personal playlist along the way. Thank you Adriene. It’s been quite a journey, one who has just begun.

This video was released just in time for me. I have been having problems with my hips for years. I'm young, 26, but I'm overweight with long history of horse riding that did a number on my joints, but especially hips. I have been more active and eating better since January, as part of my depression and anxiety recovery, and for about a week, my right hip was bothering me when lying down (I tend to sleep on my right hip every single night). For a few days, I was thinking I should really find time to look on your videos, because it seems like you have yoga video for everything. And here it is, without even looking!
I didn't realise how much tension I store in my hips. This was welcomed this morning. Thankyou, Adriene and Benji... best comedy of errors I have ever seen xxx

Did this practice today an hour before third session couples counseling. This is part of my personal therapy since 2016 for plantar fasciitis and still now for my mental health. Thank you for teaching me how to remember my breath and listen to my body. Grateful for moments to just sit with the earth and for my first Fall in a new state, i committed to myself to do yoga outside as long as I can stand it and put my bare body on the earth.
Had an asthma episode this morning, after taking the inhaler, so needed to practice patience and focus on knowing that everything is transient and it would pass soon (mine is thankfully a mild case). So when I started this video, I paid particular attention to my breathing. And I noticed that when moving the knee in a circle - I always struggle with my hips' external rotation - when I focused on breathing deeper and 'finishing' all my out-breaths, I could manage the knee circles much better! Namaste everyone.

Beautiful yoga practice Adriene, that was just the gentle practice, I needed today. Last night I had a Fibromyalgia flare up, and today I have a very heavy cold. So instead of doing this in the morning, I'm actually doing before I go back to bed to rest. It was hard to breath deep with my nose, but I tried my best. It was just nice showing up, and hearing your comforting voice, you always know how to make me feel better. Thank you Adriene, I'll see you again tomorrow, I don't know if it'll be morning or night, lol 😁 but I'll see you here for more awesome yoga, and deep breathing. Namaste. 🙏🧡
This worked wonderfully in the evening too, after a long day of sitting down in the office. Nice, soft pace to get the stress and the anxiety levels down but still some movement and stretching to get the blood flowing. I appreciate your gentle practices so much, thank you Adriene and of course Benji! 💛

Greet👋 - May 2024 I greet each shift and change in my life with acceptance and tender loving care. I was able to greet this moment today for exactly what it was as i planned on initially doing the yoga for teachers and following the calendar to the exact day but ended up realising i didn’t quite have enough time to spend 30 minutes on my mat so ended up selecting this gem of a new practice from the previous day and it fit so much better into my schedule (i’m off to the theatre to see the glass managerie with my english class🎭!). Just goes to show how acknowledging and checking in with yourself is so important as had i not reselected my class, i know there would have been negative knock on affects causing me to stress and rush. As Adriene always says, FIND WHAT FEELS GOOD regardless of what you think you ‘should be doing’. That’s a life lesson that i think we, myself hugely included, can all learn from and try to hold close to our hearts everyday. Namaste my yogi friends🙏💓✨ xx

Ended up being an after work hip release, but it still went nicely. I have some stuff going on in my head now, and this helped me clear it for a bit.
A gentle massage for the body and soul, just like a quiet morning. Good practice to do at the beginning or end of the day. Lovely ✨
So relaxing. Deep streaches that are easy to get lost in. No crazy poses that seems impossible. ❤ June 2024

Before this yoga practice I was really struggling with my lower back, the Fibromyalgia has been really bad in it lately, but this practice was just heaven for the lower back, it feels so much happier now, thank you. 😊 I will definitely be doing this loving little practice again soon. I greet each shift and change in my life with acceptance and tender loving care.
I was able to greet this moment today for exactly what it was as i planned on initially doing the yoga for teachers and following the calendar to the exact day but ended up realising i didn’t quite have enough time to spend 30 minutes on my mat so ended up selecting this gem of a new practice from the previous day and it fit so much better into my schedule (i’m off to the theatre to see the glass managerie with my english class🎭!). Just goes to show how acknowledging and checking in with yourself is so important as had i not reselected my class, i know there would have been negative knock on affects causing me to stress and rush. As Adriene always says, FIND WHAT FEELS GOOD regardless of what you think you ‘should be doing’. That’s a life lesson that i think we, myself hugely included, can all learn from and try to hold close to our hearts everyday. Namaste my yogi friends🙏💓✨ xx

Adriene, this is what I’ve been hoping to find 😭❤thank you for this specific hip video! I injured a tendon in my right hip socket five months ago, and nothing I’ve been trying has felt right.
