I'm finally moving out of my parents house to be an east coast baby (it's not quite coastal but close enough). The circumstances are very different than I expected and job hunting continues to be a miserable exercise but hopefully something that is mutually beneficial comes up very soon.
Also when you repositioned your TV it reminded me of Steve Carells tiny flat screen in the Office!!!! Haha

The wind and *just* below freezing temps in Minnesota at this time of year is always a hurdle to jump but then SPRING, MAN. And like you said, it's a compelling event during truly beautiful days. I’m starting to kinda love the seattle gloom - it’s the perfect host a dinner and take an indoor class kind of weather and then we get to go crazy outside in the summer but also ur description of sf vs seattle was spot on

Found myself enthusiastically nodding when you were describing San Francisco weather and that energy the city gets when the weather is beautiful. I live in the East Bay now and sometimes miss that energy, despite now being in consistently nicer weather. Absence makes the heart grow fonder?? Also, does Seattle seem more beautiful because it is, or because we're immune to the Bay Area's beauty at this point? Wondered this many times. I still lust after the PNW on the regular, Seattle in particular.

60s in April? Haven't seen that in a while, but I like bit north of Seattle. It doesn't rain that much. Hardly see anyone carrying an umbrella. It's mostly cloudy and then sprinkling rain.

I visited SF for the first time a couple of week ago (first time in California and the west coast in general) and I loved it! As a person from the South, the west coast is my ideal place to visit.

Visit Carkeek park and richmond beach park!! I moved here 4 years ago from missippi and I don't ever want to move anywhere else. There is something magical and healing about the pnw!!
Ravenna park by the U district is my favorite park in/ near Seattle (easy walk from the 1) . It’s not huge but there are multiple trails on different levels so you can loop around a few times and it still feels new. I was there in the fall and a friend recommended it. It was beautiful ❤️
Mine is Greenlake. As a landscape architect I have a lot of reasons why, but as a person I’m just not a fan of the Ravenna neighborhood lol

Winter in West michigan has also been cloudy and long! We had one day in like the seventies recently but then went right back to forties and clouds. I am DREAMIN. Of a day on the beach

Yes Chicago has had some 60s & one day in the 70s in the past 3 weeks. It doesn’t get hot here for the summer season (for real) until Memorial Day. The Midwest is always a mixture of cold and mild and partly cloudy in the Spring.
Dude it’s my first winter in Pittsburgh ….. we’ve been in it SINCE NOVEMBER !!! It was snowing not even two weeks ago 🥹 I cannot do this anymore 😂

It looks like none of the three water heaters at 15:30 have earthquake straps. If someone happened to be next to them when an earthquake hits they can tip over and crush someone. They weigh like 600 lbs.

I moved to Sacramento in 2018 & have gotten 3 different apartments. My first one was too expensive & my second one was too small. My third one is perfect and I really really hope to stay here until I buy a house.
I'm in Sacramento too, good luck with homebuying! Getting more and more pricey by the day. Not to mention the violence here. I'm hoping to move to Tahoe.
"Spring Quarter" : Another reason to go outside in Seattle: the book: "Seattle Stairway Walks". #9 will lead you to a glorious neighbourhood garden right on under the highways that is in bloom right nowish and #14 ; the Omsteld vision: The Arboretum.. the rhododendrons are about to bloom. I came across the "Stairwalk Series " in San Fran first. Before cars, the workers had to go down to the docks in those cities to work and a lot of them walked the "public" stairs down and up for one hour every day. Portland Oregon also has a Stairway Walk book by Laura Foster. Enjoy!

Hey so I didn't meet my college best friend until the second year but there is one girl who I thought wouldnt be a good friend because she was so busy but she stuck around for a while. Also I think we would be friends in college I gravitate extroverts because as an introvert we balance out. My friends are either ny opposite or exactly like me.

Lincoln Park and Ravenna Park are the best parks in Seattle, would highly recommend!

@@Katherout I'll second Lincoln Park. It's a great park with giant trees that you can walk through, and then you can walk down along the puget sound for some real open feeling. Bring a picnic and you can grab a table and sit and watch the sun go down on a nice day. (Its a great place for a nice stroll for a date too!)
