The main aim of the platform is to precipitate debate on why teeth are crooked. Most people are not aware that (in most cases) the dental profession has little or no idea why the teeth are crooked, or for that matter why children need major surgery. Clearly there are genetic issues, however the science is clear, the weight of quality research papers, in respected peer reviewed journals, show that our modern lifestyle is a more important factor and most importantly we can do something about this.
This is especially important as sleep apnoea, TMD, forward head posture and a most otolaryngology problems are implicated as other symptoms of the same underlying problem.

In some of the Mewing videos, it states that Mewing might not make much of a difference past the age of 25. I was well past the age of 25 when I began mewing five years ago. Especially when I go to sleep for the night. I trained myself to Mew whilst sleeping. The skin on my neck has tightened, my jaw line is more pronounced, my facial muscles have been pulling upward.
I suppose the reason I'm making this comment is to let other people who are past the age of 25, know, that mewing can still make a difference. Maybe less than on the ideal age, yet it does make a noticeable difference.

I have one question and if you are mewing 5 years already , maybe you will know the answer. In this video mr John Mew says that teeth should connect only 6-8 hours a day , but when i mew , i saw in some videos that my teeth should be connected, so adding the sleeping time , the hours surpass the 14 hour mark , what is that I don't fully understand??

It's just fascinating how God created humans. This is only one of hundreds of evidence that God exists. The fact that our jaw joints regenerate proves there's an outside being that directs it. And this is exactly corelates with why Jesus came. Just like our bodies regenerate when we get wounded, we need someone to redeem us for eternity. So I just want to share with you the gospel. As we draw closer to the apocalypse and the second coming of Jesus Christ. I just want to ask you, if you were to die today are you 100% sure that you're gonna go to heaven? If you're not, this is for you. You see, God is a holy God and he does not allow a single sin in heaven. The bible says we have all fallen short of his glory. Lying itself is a sin. So he has to judge sin with a burning hell. But it doesn't have to be that way for you. He came here as Jesus Christ to die for your sin so you can get saved and get to heaven. All you have to do is put your faith on what he did on that cross. It's that simple. Water baptism will not save you, doing good works will not save you. Very interesting as always. Growing up I was always able to click my jaw joints by pushing my jaw to one side. Then I started mewing (and especially chewing a lot more). The stronger my masseter muscles got, the more difficult it was to click my joint... until at one point I realized I wasn't even able to do it anymore - I was shocked at first because it felt so wrong to me to not be able to click my joint. I even thoght I should stop mewing. But then I asked my friends who have very good looking jaws - and they all told me that their jaw never clicks and they wouldn't know how to make it click. I then realized that it wasn't normal to be able to click your jaw joint like that.
I also always had a painful pressure point right below my ear (where the jaw joint sits) I always thought it was normal and that it was a weak point of the body. I have been actively mewing for 1,5 years now and this area causes no pain to me anymore.
Its about time the world learns about this!

Have you seen any changes on the face mewing for that long? When did you first start seeing changes?

    • @exby1869
      @exby1869 3 роки тому +9

@@s.f8283 Yes I did notice facial changes. The first thing I noticed was that my cheekbones were a lot more prominent especially looking at them from a three quarter view. Also the soft tissue around my eyes look more symmetrical and I look less tired. The soft tissue around my jaw also looks so much better. My upper lip has increased in size, my philtrum looks shorter and the tip of my nose is projecting a little bit more forward. Also the area below my jaw is a lot tighter than it used to be.
The first thing I would do is to take your index finger (don't use the fingerprint side of the finger however) and place it onto cheekbone under your eye (it's best to use the edge of your finger since it's more straight and bony) . Then place the tingertip on your brow ridge right above your eye. Your finger should not be touching the eye ball.
My finger always did touch the eyeball but after starting to mew it now doesn't anymore. This was always my objective way to measure any changes and it gave me a confidence boost to keep going.

    • @exby1869

@@Pendoble this is to measure the forward growth of your under eye area. For most people this area is really flat because of the lack of bone projection. That's why the eyes of some people look like they are bulging out. I used to always scratch my eyes by putting my index finger onto my eye orbit. But the longer I have been mewing the harder it was to reach my eye doing this. Which made me realize that my under eye area has grown forwards quite a bit.
I know it's kinda weird and probably hard to understand because everyone is different and every face feels different but it's what I always do to reassure myself that I am making progress

I eventually figured out, by trial and error and seeking to have the most relaxed moviment possible, that I was forcing my jaw back, just like John is saying.. well since then I tried to rearange my jaw position so that is a little bit more forward, and lo and behold my jaw is getting better and I feel much metter as well.

@@sirens367 I dont know if you're an atheist but you have no ground for anything. In your own worldview, you're just a molecular machine.
If you look at an orange tree, it came from an orange. But why does an orange become an orange tree and not an apple tree? Because it's goal directed to be that way. It's programmed to do it. There's an external mind directing it. It goes with love. Love is an immaterial reality of virtue grounded in God's nature. We believe in gravity but we've never seen it. We're seeing the effects of gravity. That's how we know God exists as well. By his effects.
Evolution describes what does survive, but not what OUGHT to survive. So why do humans need to survive in the first place? Why not anything else. Why should we even believe that survival is a good thing? And since you're telling me survival is our goal, then we should rape to propagate our genes to survive. Also, rape would one day be good since evolution changes. You see how ridiculous, ignorant, and stupid evolution can be. You are importing a standard into your own system to argue against the very being.

    • @KnowingGod
      @KnowingGod 3 роки тому

@@sirens367 I appreciate your response. But I think you are very lost my friend. You need the truth. I'll try to help you with this. First, my point about the DNA was that God is the ultimate source. The overall point was that it wouldn't regenerate without the existence of a being that created it. Just like what you see. Everything created has a creator. If you see a car, there must be a designer. The designer is not part of the car because he designed it. Same with God. He is not part of the universe because he created it. The reason why we know laws of logic are reliable is because it's self evidently reliable. You can't do anything without it. We wouldn't even be having this conversation.
Again, you said "good". You are implying a standard. You can only have good with God. I am referring to ontology, but you are referring to epistemology. Ontology is the foundation in reality for objective values. Moral laws are not biological or chemical. So if there is no God, there is no such thing as a law. And before there are human minds, there's still truths. It was still true that there were no human minds before anybody existed. So that must be grounded beyond our mind. All the moral law is saying, if there is one thing morally wrong like torturing babies for fun, then God exist because we're appealing to a standard beyond ourselves. There's only two options. Human opinion or a nature that is righteous and just outside of ourselves. And everyone believe that the Nazis were wrong. God wrote it in our hearts. But people suppress that.
Also, science doesn't prove anything. Scientists do. But they cannot even disprove God because they are using cause and effect inside the universe to disprove something outside the universe. In fact, scientists relies on the law of nature which is the product of a mind. If there is no mind behind the universe, why are the laws of nature so consistent and precise. Why can we take a rocket and put it in space with absolute precision. The universe is RATIONAL, which is what science requires. If the universe was a mess where it did things randomly you wouldn't have these researches.
The universe cannot be eternal because that contradicts the laws of thermodynamics. Law of causality says that everything that comes to be has a cause. The universe cannot create itself out of nothing as well because there is NOTHING from the beginning. People need to understand the meaning of that word. Almost everyone and Hawking quoted it himself, "Almost all scientists believe that the universe have a beginning" The existence of a spaceless, timeless, immaterial, all powerful, intelligent being called God has been proven numerous times in debates and so on. Even atheists and scientists already admit that there must be a creator. So I don't know where you got your idea and it would take a whole lot of time to give you all the evidences but everyone already knows there is a supernatural being out there called God. It's all backed up by science as well. The only question left is which God. We have to look at the documents, evidence, arguments including the historical info regarding each worldview just like the walk of Jesus. By the way, Christianity is NOT a religion. Christianity is based on an event which is the resurrection of Jesus. Hope this helped you..

It's good to hear this. I had issues with my jaw for the longest time due to teeth grinding when sleeping at night. Dentists say that my teeth aren't straight and straightening them may fix it, but they are not sure. I was wearing a night guard for years since that was the only way to stop my teeth from getting destroyed.
A while ago, I learned about the terrible effects of mouth breathing and decided to tape my mouth to sleep. I forgot to wear my night guard one night but had my mouth taped and surprisingly didn't grind my teeth. I suspect my open sleeping mouth is the reason why teeth grinding happens. I am slowly weaning off my night guard and hopefully soon, I will not need it anymore.

Jaw jutting worked for my early tmd symptoms, , i started to have some discomfort, clicking and a weird hissing sound in my ear when i opened my jaw just after i started chewing bigger amount of gums, but after following an MSK Neurology (was called TOR Rehab back then i think) video's advice on tmd, saying that all i need to do to cure my tmd symtomps is to protract (jut) my jaw forward permanently.
I started to do that, so the lower teeths would meet my upper ones (but the lower teeths would still be slightly behind the upper ones because i have an overbite), around 1-1,5 year ago with sealed lips, teeth lightly touching, and maintaining a suction hold, and since then i can chew as many gums as i want (up to 50 pieces) without discomfort, i even chew in a protracted position, the only time a sight clicking is present when i chewed too much on a specific day but all be fine on the next one.
The new occlusion felt weird at first, but my jaw almost instantly felt more free, and since then it became second nature and now the old rectracted position feels weird.

All the points mentioned in this video cover my case. My tongue used to stick out during childhood, mu upper palate became narrow and I basically bite more on the TMD side with a slight incline of lower jaw. In my adulthood I recall sleeping with open mouth. I am 35 now and I decided to go for braces and improve my bite. Since braces I have a better quality of sleep and during night time I also sleep with closed mouth (no dry mouth, no saliva on the pillow), tongue pressured up (TPA mark on tongue).
If i do one click while moving the lower jaw a bit forward I can then nicely open my mouth, unfortunately I can't bite because the teeth don't fit yet.
btw. I can open two fingers without a click and 4 fingers wide with a click.

I’ve tried splints and never thought that they helped. They might have put my jaw temporarily in a better position, but then when I wasn’t wearing them my jaw felt worse than before. I finally figured out on my own, and after discovering your research, that my upper jaw is badly positioned. Therefore my lower jaw is also badly positioned thus causing the TMD. Unfortunately as an adult it appears the only way to remedy this would be with orthognathic surgery. I wish I could go back in time and found a different orthodontist when I was 12. One who wouldn’t have used extractions and headgear to retract and narrow my face. My jaw feels better in a more forward position but then the teeth don’t line up properly.

Very good hypothesis! I am using the ALF plus oromyofunctional therapy plus osteopathy plus dry needling and physical therapy to retrain my cross bite. My TMJ is cured by and large at age 36. But i still have pain because my upper palate isnt far enough forward. I can feel how my bottom jaw wants to come forward more. My tongue can mew but its uncomfortable to keep it where it belongs all day. And it makes me want to jut my lower jaw forward. Im considering SFOT surgery since everyday i have fo massage around my jaw joint and neck and remind myself the correct posture. All this to say, i think i could completely heal my jaw pain if my bite could move forward. I also have a tooth in the back that's a couple millimeters longer bc it doesnt touch normally. Im going go try to keep it touching often, although i look bad with my jaw jutting out!

TMJ problems are also directly connected to your emotions
trapped emotions-as in subconscious emotions that were pushed back from the conscious mind constantly-like anger and fear, can trigger unconscious muscle contraction that leads to bad oxygenation of the fibers creating a lot of "invisible tension" on the upper body muscles which can also be named as "myofascial trigger points syndrome" or by other neurologists "myoneural disorder". consequently, this evolves to bad posture from your chest to your head musculature being too tight.
I'd recommend you and anyone who is having recurrent TMJ issues to reach out to a psychotherapist to unleash anything that is inside you and for INSTANT RELIEF try different approaches of relaxation (alongside checking on your emotions) like sound therapy, myofascial massages, hot and cold therapy, light pace cardio, going out with friends and releasing endorphins, sauna, sex and love as it releases stress and tensions relief hormones as well... you name it. (all of these can cure any type of chronic pain as well)
by the way when you were prescribed mouth guards, did they adjust it weekly for your bite changes throughout the treatment? if not, they were indeed useless and yes they can save you and relax your jaw, neck, back and chest muscles if they're well prescribed and followed by.
hope you get well soon, as I know from personal experience that this can be hell.

  • @Consul99

I've had this issue for awhile now. It's never really been that much of an issue except when I open my jaw wide it "locks" on the left side so I have to swing my jaw slightly to the right to close it. I asked a dentist and they said it was normal. So I'm glad to find this video.
I find the resting position of my jaw is with my front teeth touching but my back teeth not. I'm guessing this is similar to keeping it slightly open, should I try shifting my jaw back so that all teeth touch? This seems a bit counter to the suggestion that the jaw is too far back but I'm not sure what else to try.

Dr Mew, what do you think about the MAGO (Maxillary Anterior Guidance Orthotic) appliance and bioesthetic dentistry?
I had trauma to my face as a child, (knocked out teeth at age 10), my midline is off, and I have had braces as a teenager. My TMD started at 17, but it wasn't bad.
I had a MAGO appliance made to help position my joint at age 27 because I started to have pain in the joint again. After wearing it, I have to say it helped my joint greatly, but it created an open bite and intrusion of upper anterior teeth. Now, I am in Ortho (round 2) to correct midline and open bite.
Also, do you think adjustments in the jaw joint by a chiropractor is a good idea? I have that done every couple months.

It has been shown that the glenoid fossa can remodel to meet the condyle too, which leads to a similar phenomenon. However, wouldn't this open mouth position need to be held for a long period of time in order to prevent the osteoid breaking down every time the teeth fully occlude? I would think a full-time appliance would be required to achieve this.

      @LorenaGreen 3 роки тому +3

the problem is dentists are only taught to look at your teeth. they don't even care to check your jaw position, your back, neck etc. to check the real cause of your issues.
at first i'd say to go check your depression. check on to a good and welcoming psychotherapist, go on about your life normally. emotions affect muscle tensions and they can definitely influence your mouth posture and teeth consequently, as your teeth are all connected to nerves and muscles and have vital function in your system as a whole. start a healthy life style with regular light exercise. don't be self conscious about your appearance, do your daily mewing but don't stress out any other muscle while you do your daily activities like talking to your friends.
the true beauty comes from inside and it makes the outside symmetrical by consequence of this deep deep muscle relaxation from within. this is real science way more than orthodontics. if you need to go see another dentist in your life, go on a appointment with an integrative dentist that sees your system as whole being and not like a mechanic fixing a car.

I am mewing now for over a few months but i have the feeling that the right side of my jaw is developing in a different way as my left side.
I’ve had a jaw surgery last year. Is it even possible to see the right results with mewing after a surgery??

Hey doc. Can you talk about why teeth gap occurs and If we can prevent them naturally? And if only using retainers without braces can fix my teeth from regaining the gap over the time ?

Not proper tongue posture causes these things. Genetics have nothing to do with it

All of these things can make your teeth straight artifically but the tongue should be your brace and retainer for life. Braces and retainers dont give you forward growth. Be dedicated

I don't understand tho. If both the upper and lower jaw is set too far back isn't it true that it is impossible to fully cure the disorder without expanding the maxilla and allowing the lower jaw to come forth?

Dr. Mew, did you mention you had crohn's disease?
I know in fact someone got healed from it through the Kangen water. It has many benefits. You can watch a presentation in YT where they put K water in different soft drinks.
PS: I personally don't sell them but if you would like some help ordering it, I'd gladly set you up with a high level seller from Canada and Germany.

When I try to mew their is always a bit of space in between my tongue and my upper palette because my upper palette curves upwards, is this normal?
