    The main aim of the platform is to precipitate debate on why teeth are crooked. Most people are not aware that (in most cases) the dental profession has little or no idea why the teeth are crooked, or for that matter why children need major surgery. Clearly there are genetic issues, however the science is clear, the weight of quality research papers, in respected peer reviewed journals, show that our modern lifestyle is a more important factor and most importantly we can do something about this.
    This is especially important as sleep apnoea, TMD, forward head posture and a most otolaryngology problems are implicated as other symptoms of the same underlying problem.

In the pursuit of the truth it is normal in science to make speculative comments which may not have full scientific support, and we welcome feedback and discussion.

    Much of what is discussed on this site is not available from even the registered members, however a list of members is available on the web site, orthotropics.com.
    Orthotropics essential means straight or correct growth. If your faces grows well it tends to work well. The concept is based on the Tropic Premise; www.watkinsden...
    The underlying pathology of malocclusion and the related symptoms is referred to as Craniofacial Dystrophy;

    The association feels that it should be possible to prevent or at least minimise the level of craniofacial dystrophy through simple public health measures.

    Thank you very much for the interest in this video. It has been our most successful to date and I we are planning on creating a more in depth and informative video such as this at least once a month. Thank you for the comments and I would like to respond to Looksmax (thanks James) and many other who questioned the choice of Kylie Jenner for the thumbnail and introduction.
    She clearly has had "work done", and I might be wrong in regard to fillers on her maxilla, but I am not wrong that she has attained an upswing in facial form. Look closely at her face in the two images that we posted. Visualise the underlying bones and how the whole of her structure has changed. I am sure that neither her or any plastic surgeon involved would be aware of this.
    Also she is controversial and an element of click bait does help to spread an important message. While I know that many of you are focused on aesthetic improvements, you are also improving your health in general and there are many people with OAS and other issue who need to hear this message irrespective of how it reaches them.
    Sorry that I am unable to engage in all the comments below, I wish that I could but my time is limited and we are working on building the channel and other angle which I hope is the best use of my time.
    Best wishes and work hard,
    Mike
    (PS please stop trying to send me personal message asking to individual help, there is no way that I can even read this number of mails that I receive, the best next people to ask are Astro Sky or Looksmax, they have picked up a great deal of knowledge)

    I found this channel 3 years ago when I was 24. It was difficult to start mewing because of limit space in my pallet, but I did it anyways.
    I noticed significant change from 24 to 25. I was breathing better through my nose, felt more attractive, felt healthier, and had more space in my pallet. From 25 to 27 I went from having more pallet space to pallet space not even being an issue.
    I still mew and I still try to practice good tongue posture and good swallowing habits even if I frequently forget. This does work. It just takes some time.
    I feel really blessed to have started mewing before turning 25, but I've seen a steady and significant increase in the last two years. It's worth it even if you're over 25.

    Had my cranial bones adjusted by a chiropractor who was trained in Adjusting Turner Style. Had a huge change in my facial bones / head shape overall - widened a lot. If you've had head traumas / other injuries to your neck / jaw I would recommend seeing a chiro as well as following the videos advice. My neck was curving backwards the complete wrong way due to another injury (seriously affecting my jaw/face) - no way that I could have fixed this on my own.

    If you wanted to use a celebrity as an example of perfect facial bone structure, Janet Jackson would have been an excellent candidate. All the Jackson siblings have impeccable cheekbones and jawlines. They may have had their noses narrowed, but their facial bone structure is amazing. They also have gorgeous smiles. . . like freaking sunshine! Having a gorgeous smile is not just about getting a celebrity dentist to whiten your teeth. It's about the smile itself and the tooth structure. Janet and Michael have the most beautiful smiles I have ever seen. They light up a room.

    Facts my man, when i fixed my nasal airway i started to feel different and my tongue goes automitcally roof of the mouth. I used to struggle with that. Also my palate has widened a bit and my smile is bit wider already. In week or couple i noticed difference already. But thats probably because my health has improved dramatically also in general and it connected to it. I also see that i used to have well not a lot like sleep apnea patients but recessive chin yes well now its grown forward a little and its almost in line with lips which is great.(balanced profile) I also noticed that my left cheekbone has became more visible. It wasnt used to comparing to a right one my right one was more developed. So all your stuff has changed my life thanks a lot🙏 I can sleep always great now which is mature benefit. I just discovered this video and your channel. Thank you so much for this information. More than 5 years ago my dentist told me that he saw wear on my teeth and that I must clench my jaw and grind my teeth at night. He told me to try to keep my upper and lower teeth separate at all times except for when eating and I've been sleeping with a nightguard to keep my teeth from touching at right. I have noticed that my jawline has gotten weaker and my face has changed. Everything you're saying makes perfect sense to me and I look forward to correcting the damage that has been done.

      @@Chris-eo1bp You're right, I'm probably not looking at the full picture but that's probably because I see them leave Epione (a cosmetic surgery practice that specializes in facial fillers) on a regular basis. Mix that with having worked in the industry myself for a number of years so I'm not just guessing when I say they've all had work done, but he categorically denies Kylie has had any work done and implies the people in the other image's have had no work done either. So yes, add that all together and one may come to the conclusion that subconsciously I may not see the whole picture...

    I just recently found this channel and I have learned so really much. I have a bit of a case of facial dysphoria and watching through these videos give me hope in a real sense. Thank you so much for this.
    I've thought about this recently and after finding your channel this question popped up: Would having your hair in a man-bun(god I hate that name) on the top of your head for the majority of the day for a long period of time result in an elongated head? Maybe it's just my dysphoria acting up but it's something I've been doing for some years now and I do think it's bumped up a bit.

    • @izabella4450
      @izabella4450 2 роки тому

      No but it would result in pulling your hairline back which might make your head look elongated.

    I thought I was mewing the right way, but then you said that I shouldn't feel my teeth. And when I changed it, I realized that it felt uncomfortable since I was feeling my lower teeth poking. So I realized that my teeth are actually placed wrongly and so I had been positioning my chin in a wrong way as a way to cope with the slight feeling of discomfort that having my jaw correctly gave me.

  • @Cat_Coon
    @Cat_Coon 2 роки тому +2

    After my braces were removed as a teen (fleeing chin, narrow upper jaw, protruding front teeth, tooth gap) everything was fine. But I place my tongue tip upwards and unfortunately also against the teeth (maybe that's why I needed the brace as smaller child I didn't had those face features) . With 23 everything still looked fine but now with 30 (I look very young, no wrinkles etc, it's no aging thing) the chin is sunk again a bit, my face more elongated in general, front theeth pushed forward a bit again etc and I have problems breathing when I'm sitting straight , constantly nagging and head hurt (bad posture also) . Nose Breathing and sitting straight is much easier and more comfortable with mewing! I holding my head in a better posture automatically.
    I just don't how do swollow my salvia this way xD
    Try to make this a habbit!
    Thanks for your videos.

    I've been mewing for a couple of weeks now. It was very hard at first, because I have atopic allergies and my nose is always stuffed, so I've been a mouth breather for almost all of my life. I changed my diet completely so I would not get allergies and could mew. So basically your videos are helping me not only with tongue posture, but with my overall health as well! Thank you, Dr. Mew

    Why are you using the before and after photo of someone with tons of plastic surgery, probably including cheek implants? Your ideas are attractive, not the way you present them

      This was the main reason I clicked on this video. That alone made me think that this guy is just saying a load of bullshit and giving his viewers false hope. All credibility lost.

    I wouldn't use her as your main example case because with her money, previous surgery including obvious chin changes and the fact her face and beauty are one of her professions she has to prioritise how can you be certain she hasn't improved her cheeks through surgery, You can't. Why can't you use one of your own clients that has achieved what you say?
    Also why is it you yourself are not a chiselled model by now? I know that sounds mean but that is not the intention, you are not ugly but as one of, if not the number one authority out there on changing ones facial structure i am playing devil's advocate and asking a question that many will be thinking themselves as surely you should be looking like a sculpted god by now.
