I've been looking for thumb exercises for months. So grateful that this came up on my search today. Mountain biking has a lot of demand on the thumb for shifting and mine are damaged and weak from stoving them skiing. Now I have a routine to help them. Added bonus is that you have exercises for my hands, wrists and forearms. Grateful that you took the time to do this.

Thank you for sharing these exercises. I do other various exercises/stretches you have shared daily but these have helped me relieve my pain around the thumb joint. (Where it pokes out of the hand). The "Rocker" and "Swan" exercises helped me the most. You are the hero for all gamers!

Dr Levi your videos are tremendous!! A few years ago, I had bilateral CMC arthroplasties as a result of a weight lifting injury and hand/thumb overuse in my work. I think my work prevented the thumbs from healing (it’s a long story). The thumb surgeries were successful. I also play classical guitar, and I was aware that I’d have a little thumb weakness, that I could live with. I’ve recently started having occasional left thumb pain playing guitar, I think as a result of overuse, and the lack of stretching/strengthening and rest (I’m retired, so I have a lot of time on my hands- no pun intended). Your videos, along with message, and a portable US machine have eliminated the pain. Thank you ever so much. I will always be grateful. All the best!!

Dr Levi, thank god you're here! I have been doing your stretches for my hands and wrists, but now they hurt every now and again when BEFORE they never used to hurt. Is this a bad thing? Should I stop stretching? Thanks for your hard work! Love the videos

I've worked in IT for over 20 years, and have had hand pain for most of that time from clawing as a mouse for 8, 10, 12 hours a day. I'll definitely be adding rubberbands to my keyboard area, thanks!

Hey dr. Levi I’m trying the stretches for my thumb which has been painful in the joint at the bottom of the thumb and actually around the entire joint. The problem im having is your thumb can stretch across the palm to the point where you can see space btw the tip of your thumb and the bottom of your pinky however I literally can barely stretch it to the pinky at all I would appreciate a response so I can ask you a few questions considering I’m actually feeling aches after the stretches which means I’m prob not doing these correctly.

Hi Dr Harrison. When I do the exercise at 3:14, I get a slight popping sensation in my right thumb joint 90% of the time so like 9 out of 10 pops whenever I pull the thumb towards me. The area between my right thumb and wrist feels stiff much of the time. About 2 years ago it was burning and very painful so I wore a brace for a couple months. To this day though it fatigues quickly and is stiff. I'd say 1/10 to 2/10 on pain scale for much of the day. What should I do?
