- In this video, I go over some vital information should you want to change your OEM wheels and tires, to different sized aftermarket ones. I go over how important it is to maintain the same overall diameter of the wheel, along with how it affects your car.
I also go over tire sizing, how to pick the correct offset, along with a lot more.

"For the love of God, please do not stretch your tires!" So true! This is one of the very best videos explaining all things wheel related. Great explanations and breakdowns.
Glad you enjoyed it!
First time I have heard that the wheel is the last gear, great teaching metaphor.
i dont mean to be so off topic but does anyone know a trick to get back into an instagram account??
I somehow lost the login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me
@Raymond Julius instablaster ;)
Xx1 are
Every video you put out, is exactly what everyone needs to know if they want to get into the modding game! Much appreciated!
Glad you found them helpful :)
How can y’all not understand this? Use context clues and google if you need help on terms. I am not hip on cars and got a clear understanding. Shoutout this guy for being so detailed ,salute
Most informative video on wheels I've seen so far. Good job!
Great video! I upgraded from stock 18x7.5 60offset to OEM 19x9 35 offset and it looks great. Best info was using the wheel calculator.
Who else cringed when he scraped the rim on the concrete?
The rim that I was scraping on the concrete has a massive crack in 2 spokes, and I wouldn't ever dare put on a car again. I want to make a hose reel with it :)
milanmastracci ohhhhhhh!!! Well thank god. That sound made me cringe in pain! But a hose reel with the rim would be really cool!
I cringed the whole video. This dude's cringey asf
@@Chris-tk9hy Why? Providing good information for people learning.
Good video, man! Very detailed and any person who knew nothing about tire sizes before this, is well-versed now!
actually a great video, everything is clear from A to Z.
well done mate.
Love your comment “for the love of God don’t stretch your tire”. Came across your channel by accident and immediately subscribed. Keep going. You should get a show on the PowerBlock.
For the love of god dont stretch your tire well dude for the love of god stop twisting the rim on the concrete
my speedometer doesn't work anyways
One Man Army how do u drive
ya but it changes your millage too
Buy a new speed sensor lol
My car doesn't have abs and tcs
Zachary Shvarts I use an app that tracks both my speed and distance traveled. And every oil change I adjust the milage on the odometer and reset it on the app. It's basically all you can do when you get bigger tires for offroad
thank you so much for the education. Before, wheels were something I took for granted. Now, I know to save up for quality.
Great video man! Most rim shops won't give you this information because they just want to sell you product and don't care about that they sell you!!
Awesome video brother!!! Keep up the great work👌🏼💪🏽💪🏽
Thanks man :)
Literally screamed out "NO!" Every time you turned the wheel on the ground, grinding it against the floor
Thanks man, this is the most useful video that I ever watched wheels related.
Thanks Aleksey! I appreciate it 🙌
Excellent tutorial, really quite outstanding. Many thanks.
Great video on wheels & tyres! Thank You .... Respectfully, Michael DelRossi
This one was the most helpful video about rims on UA-cam 👏
I'm happy to hear that!
Thanks, learned a lot, you were very thorough and knowledgeable.
Of course a very nice video! Liked and shared with my friends! Thanks for the information!!!
You have a good understanding of wheels and tires good job.
I enjoyed watching your video. You have a nack for making interesting video's. Explaining offset can be difficult as offset is often a confusing topic. You are forgiven for screwing it up. Keep up the good work!
Great video, I learned to be aware various things to consider before buying aftermarket wheels.
Wow, for a young man, you really know your tires ! Thanks !
Good presentation and informative video. Thanks.
Very good video. it is useful for all who want to learn more about wheels.
Great and informative video! Thanks!
I needed this. Thanks my brother
I just learned a lot from your video, thank you for the in depth explanation.
Glad to hear it buddy!! :)
After this video I know what to buy!Very helpfull informations
Very informative. Thanks for sharing. 👍🏽💯
I made a mistake and bought wheels with the wrong offset. Now I'm living the poke life. xD
couldve been worse xd
What was the offset?? I want that poke life for my new type r lol
@@darienwalker7635 offset is how many mm the mounting things is from the centre... Basically how deep wheel will go
Very informative video. Thanks buddy.
Thanks this video was very helpful!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Very educating video.. thanks
This video got me to subscribe. Excellent explanation.
Thanks brother!! :)
man. love your channel very much!!!
woww. just got what i needed. thanks mate
man watching this made me even do even more research. using 1010 i decided for my 17x9 to get a 235/45 so thanks man its within 3% so im good.
Perfect :)
Thanks for this vid fella, a lot of help put in layman's terns! :)
very well explained
great teacher
This is a really good 101 for wheel tire upgrades. I'm in the preliminary process of figuring out a suitable upgrade for a 91 Volvo 240 sedan. Bought the adapters that'll switch the 5x108 bolt patten to a more common 5x110. I'm thinking 17s might be as big as I can go without having to roll the fenders. That 10 10 tires site along w your info here should help. Thank you.
Very useful vid,man,thx!
Wheel are so confusing lol. Ima ask the guy If I can test the wheel on my car before I buy 😂😂😊
Great video.. learned a lot. Much appreciated
Glad to hear it Sunmeet 👊 Happy to help!!
Can you comment on the negative effects on suspension and wheel bearings when changing the offset and/or adding spacers ?
Well explained. Thanks
Overall a good video thanks. One small point, what you called a micrometer, was a vernier caliper.
Thank you to the guys that corrected me about the offset, I should have subtracted what the offset is. So if you were to add a 25mm wheel spacer to a 8" +35 wheel, the corrected offset would be 8" +10.
A bro do you have A facebook if so join my group called honda bays 80k members.
milanmastracci Please give me the largest posible Wheel and Low profile Tire Size that I can fit for my Mirage Hatchback. Please give me the numbers? Tia!
Edward Andrew Cruz dude just fucking google it. its easy.
milanmastracci need help w info on a 1991 Infinity G20. 200,000+ miles want to put a lot into it for a turbo project. 90's tuner. can you help?
milanmastracci So if I've got (18" × 8") +40 offset... What tires would run perfect with them? With less tires wall on the sides
Great video
Great video.. much information, thanks! FYI those are calipers, not micrometers.
Good Info , thanks
This video made it so easy to understand everything, I've been struggling to get it for so long😅. great vid bro
Thanks buddy!! :)
So helpful !
This video is too smart for me.. I failed my maths. I just go for looks
thank you for detailed info on tire and wheels cover up all useful tips and facts for beginners like me. I just bought a Ford escape. I am thinking change me 18" OME wheels to upsize 20" to give a aggressive look and more sense of control on my car. any brands and tire you have in mind to me? BTW forged or cast?
Great video I currently have 2015 Honda Crosstour with 225/60R18 18x7 Currently looking to buy a Wheel thats 265/40R22 22x9 i was hoping to see if i can put these tires on without rubbing. Possibly if i can get a Coilovers as well.
rubber band for tires 😊😊😊
thanks man I've learned a lot.
Nice informative video..i'm thinking of getting a MACH ME7 rims what do you think about those rims?
Great content as always. I'm about to upgrade my oem 350z HR wheels. My question is: did you find a noticable increase in acceleration/performance with the lightweight enkei as opposed to a normal cast wheel of similar proportions? ie was the lighter unsprung mass noticable?
Thanks for the very detailed information. I need any advise. my stock was 185/65r15 in 5j rim, I replace the tire with 205/60r15 in the same rim. is this set up acceptable? will this affect the mechanical parts of my car?
"So if I wanted to, I could get the wheel, lean it down, and I'm not gonna have to worry about getting the faces scratched up."
2 seconds later: *drags wheel across rough cement floor* haha
nice video thank you
Holy crap all I wanted to know was what rims will bolt onto my 2003 ford Windstar van
I feel you
Jeez man I just need some new rims for my car, I'm scared to buy a new set now. So many variables 😅
great video btw
Geat review.
Great video! How can you tell whether a wheel/brand is certified or not?
Hey man great videos any ideas on a honda civic 98 4d its my first car and i would like to upgrade everything but one thing at a time
Thanks for your demonstration.
Can I use 255 or 265/45/18 on ls430 insted of 245 on the stock OEM wheels?
If not, is it possible to get these wider wheels from after market as same shape as OEM?
Hi what rim and tires can you recomend on honda crv ex 2017 im planing to change to 19inch wheel thanks..
This video was super helpful, i'm new to the whole car scene. @3:19 you say you would be running very thin tires, but that is only true if you didn't want to also change the speedometer or "gear ratios" or whatever?
great vid
My MX5 with 17" wheels came without a spare. I don't like the goo stuff, so I carry a plug kit for the common puncture type damage. I have had to make quick repairs a couple of times, and found that the smaller profile makes using the plug insertion tool more difficult as it tends to bottom out. I managed well enough with the 17" but may not have succeeded with more narrow sidewalls. Maybe inserting at an angle?
Very helpful Ty
No problem Dan :)
Thanks man
Man I was just looking to get new wheels but I think I’m a just stick to stock cuz this whole explanation hurt my head
Ziggy Zuko the guy knows nothing.
If you wanna go bigger, just take in mind the tire size.
After that you should be okay.
Yeh same, I just wanna know how the switch my rims out, I don't need a new tire
same!! im completely lost
😅😅😅 ITS VERY DISCOURAGING
Cuz my rims right now are 17s im tryna get some 22s
so going from a 15 to 17 inches as long as the diameter is good should be fine? I'm putting some scion alloy wheels and tires on my Camry. the scion is 17 and my camry has 15 inches
Michael Ohana Yes, you will be fine. Plus sizing by 2 would be more of a harsher ride, but as far as the dynamics of your vehicle, you would have no issues except hitting bumps.
I tried the tire calculator, I've been looking at wheels that have the tire size 225/60r17 and my stock ones are 205/60r16. It shows that It would be off by 0.32 mph or 3.62 kmph, and the variance Is at 4.12%. The offset of my car Is 55mm positive I believe since the wheel Is basically flat at the face and the other one Is 45mm but the face Isn't flat and It's 1 inch wider. So does that mean that I can't buy the new rims?
hey boet do u think 195/50/15 will be okay for my citi golf mk1
I went from the stock staggered set up on my BMW M3 to a square 19" set up and I have more grip, better dropping power since I have more rubber in the front and little to no understeer. In addition to that, I also doubled my Michelin tire warranty so it was very worth it.
I got a Corolla LE 2010 with stock 195/65/15x6.5, 5x100, wheels and tires. I was wondering if I could get some 17s on my car such as 205/50/17 without spacers? I ask because I was looking into Scion frs rims with those same 17 specs but they needed spacers so I'm not sure if all 17 in rims will need spacers on my Corolla?
how would upsizing tire width with the same rims affect handling. my car running stock front 225/40/19 on 8 in wide rims. I want to upsize to 235 /40 or 245/35.
Great!
I have a 2011 RT charger and it came with 20 inch stock rims. The tire size is 245/45 R20 and the gap in the tire well between the tire and fender is several inches. If I put a tire on with thicker walls will it require a new tune? I have a diablo trinity tuner.
hello I have 225 70 r14 looking to go up 1 size maybe 2 would the new tire still be good if I'm running it on a 450 hp car. I'm looking for a good looking and good grip setup
Bro dope ass video firm 🤝
Thanks man! I appreciate that 👊
What if I want to move to a larger tire/ rim size? Change our speedometer and abs?
thank you
I am thinking about getting 18x8.5 + 30 size rims with 225/45/18r tires. I currently drive a 2014 Honda Civic coupe. Wondering if you think that would be fine. Or will it rub?
I am not a car person, and this shit was so hard to understand haha.
Look up ChrisFix! the best car guy
He did a terrible job explaining
muffemod um I'm sorry what??
Trying to decide on new wheels for my truck. I have a 2004 GMC Envoy with mfg tires of P245/65R17 size... I painted my calibers and really want them to show more .. This is why I need to change my wheels / or wheel size.. I want to ride smooth so I am not looking for anything bigger than a 20. With that being said I know that I have to also change the tire size.. I prefer a safer but skinny tire any suggestions on size of the wheels and size of a skinny tires?
I like your videos
Which tire size do you recommend for a 19 inch wheel on my 08 Accord Coupe? Don't want it to slim of a tire or to meaty either
19x9.5 wheel
Hi I have Scion FR-S if I put after market wheel size 18x9 offset is 40 do think will poke or plush what is your suggestion coz the wheels that I like is only 40 offset only if choose 18x8 40 offset
I drive a Taxi with 7 or 6 passengers. Here in the west Indies they sell tyres marked M &S. I find that the used or cheap new ones warp in the hot roads in dry season. Could you also talk about which tyres and rims are best for heavy loads. I own a Serena c24.
U answered all my ?s... subbed
Any recommendations for a black steel wheel that would fit a 2004 Honda crv? I already bought 235/75/15 tires. Been having a hard time finding the right wheels. I put a 3 inch lift on my CRV, so it's plenty of space
What you think is the best fitment for a 2011 c300 sport 19in or 18in
I have seen the tire size calculators, however, my question is; can I fit and be safe 225/65/17 in my CRV LX 2013 instead of OEM 215/70/16? Thanks.....The OEM tires look small
