I bought a set of used aftermarket offset rims but the center caps with the wheel brand name were missing , are the letters and numbers stamped on the front of the rim can they identify the brand name? Ty
You would need a wider-than specified tire. So if you had a 9.5" wide wheel, you would want something like a 295 on there, as opposed to a 245, which will make the tire 'stick out' from the rim.

I'm sure you made a mistake.. If you have bigger brakes you will need a lower offset not higher.. The lower the offset the more the wheel moves out from the car making them further away from the brakes.. The higher the offset the further under the car making the wheel sit more inward towards the brakes.. (e.g) My Nissan Gloria Y34 also has as standard +35 offset, I put bigger brakes on and now have +30 offset wheels to help clear the calipers.. So if you're only changing the offset and nothing else a lower one pulls the wheel out from and higher pushes them inward more..

Great info, but the offset is the ET (35) stamping underneath the bolt pattern stamping (114.3), not the 'J' with the rim size.

No, futher in. The "+" means that the hub mounting point is further outwards than the center of the rim by the number of mm that it says.
