- I've been getting asked a ton about making a hitting tips video, and I finally got the time to put one together for all of you. I hope you guys enjoyed and make sure to drop a sub and to follow me on my other platforms!

If your struggling with fast balls: Custom Practise vs Jordan hicks of the Cardinals. Start with high heat only and move on from there.
Here's another tip: 0-1/1-1/1-2 counts - I literally say out loud, 'Watch out for Trash'. I say this over and over and over because, 75% of the time in those counts the next pitch will be trash, either in the dirt or out of the strike zone. I hold my PCI in the medium/high outside corner. Folks think they can sneak a high fast ball past me, think again. I've been crushing perfect homers above the strike zone lately. But it all start with custom practice. If you struggle with your PCI dropping reflexively, custom practice just holding the PCI in the position. Dont move at all. Take 5 pitches holding the PCI where you want it. I've been playing the show since 21' i'm an old school dude that loves baseball!

Thanks for the tips and pointing out how you can focus on the pci too much and not trusting yourself as its something I struggle with. A good fix for that i found out is just going into practice and turning your pci completely off and hitting. It really helps you trust yourself more and helps you react to the pitch a lot better.
Omg this video helped me so much. Just the trusting my pci placement helped a ton. I’m a new player since I’m on Xbox and I feel like this has taken my hitting to another level now that I can just worry about watching the pitch and timing since my pci placement is usually good. Also I’m here because of your game against chev the other day 😉
I’ve won 8 straight in ranked but that’s Bc of my pitching ive been struggling hitting as of lately and this video just made me a way better hitter thanks man

My main problem is just hitting swinging at garbage pitches I tried out the pci for a game and won but there's a bunch a diff setting for the pci so basically you just have to go into practice mode find the right balance for yourself

I went 4-0 in ranked when I started last week. But now I'm 4- 20..
Dont know is SBMM is in this game but , expereince in batting has been horrible since my last win.

The game settings get harder as u move up in the ranked mode so it makes it harder to hit and pitch

My problem is I focus way to much on the PCI and not the ball I’m getting better at tho I’m 1-2 on ranked I’m trying 80% because I had my at 100
My other issue is waiting is so boring lol. I don't wanna sit there and take pitches
Do you think playing strictly against the computer at Legend/HOF is easier or harder than playing a human online? I find that it’s easier for me to play humans. The computer esp at Legend, pitches are on corners, slightly off, just sick inside sinkers and cutters. At least humans sometimes make mistakes it seems.
Any suggestions on days where you're just not doing well at all? For example, yesterday I was on fire and was hitting everything, had good plate discipline, etc. The next day... I'm on a major slump and I'm having trouble with Veteran, when I was doing well on Hall of Fame the previous day.
Part of me thinks that I'm trying to force strike zone batting view, instead of sticking what I'm comfortable with... (I see really well with Zoom for some reason.)
I’ve been struggling myself lately for my expectations. Honestly, any slump is all mental. Take some BP, take the day off and go back at it again the next day. Sometimes a day off helps a ton
Thanks for the tips. Question, if you mainly play your games on All Star would you recommend jumping in custom practice and doing Hall of Fame because it's one difficulty up? Or would you do legend or All Star?
Great question. I would say warm up on HOF. That way you won’t be late on a fastball. I know not everyone can practice on legend, but practicing one difficulty level up will speed up your bat speed, and you’ll be ready to hop into ranked afterwards!

I'm way way early on curveballs. I can hit 90-100. 75-85 gives me issues
How can I go against legends in practice
My timing is always way off. I dont know how to fix that issue.
What roster you use
This is my first year playing since David wright was on the cover, and I’m 29-7 on ranked. My pitching is great, but man I’m in a fat slump at the plate. Most of my losses are to Edward Cabrera. I swear 😂
Hitting has been harder this year even for guys whove played the last several years! Dont give up!
@@cadesimon4034 i figured it out actually. I started sitting inside pitches. Sitting inside sinker or fastball, reacting to off-speed. Im thoroughly enjoying this game again.
I have a 32 inch 1080p tv and I feel like the ball is so just hard to understand out the release point. Once I can grab a 4K gaming monitor it’s over with.
yeah that makes a huge difference, i switched to monitor this year after playing on a tv all last year and now i’m seeing everything better

@@MadStylee619 Yes there's 4k monitors but just keep In mind that a monitor can only display what your hardware is capable of rendering. So if you play on last-gen consoles (Xbox One/PS4) you won't be able to use 4k Resolution. If you are serious about shopping for a gaming monitor, what you should really look at is the monitors' "Response Time" . A lower Response time is a lot more important for competitive online games than the monitor's resolution because it reduces the amount of input lag and just makes your games run faster/smoother, whereas the Resolution (1080p, 1440p, 4K) will just make your game look nicer visually.
Best hitting tip. Use contact swing. It's the biggest glitch in the game right now.

@@tim8801 people have been able to hit homeruns with contact swing. It actually works better than power swing. It's honestly the most annoying glitch ever especially when you play someone who does it non-stop

I wish u guys really give out the real details of stuff like what resolution u play, what type of set up u use with elgato, stuff like lowering ur input delay etc etc on legend theres no way i can see the pitch and hit it based just on reaction and i’ved tried everything already
I have mine set to 1080p, overdrive on, and play with my controller plugged in to reduce input delay. Also, if you’re on a PS5, put your system on performance mode! I hope that helped a bit!

Depends on what you’re trying to do and what you need. 0-2 you probably want to use o, 2-0, 3-0 with a power hitter or a RISP then you can risk it and try to bang one deep with a smaller pci. You can actually watch the computer make these decisions if you look at their pci info
I have been better on this game vs. 20. I just lost the other day after having a personal best 4 game win streak. Plus I made another player rage quit for the 5th time in a week. I need to get better.
Does it count as rage quit if you’re just over it? Or maybe can’t finish all nine innings?
The Game seems to count them as a win or loss

For me I use whatever the card is better at. David Ortiz I am swinging with Power .... if I am using a card like Loften then I am using Contact

Contact swing is OP until it’s patched, but normal 100% of the time will usually do you right. With that being said, it’s situational like real baseball. Ahead in the count or less than 2 outs with RISP, you can swing for the fences with power.. 0-2 and you’re getting dotted, probably better to contact swing

I truly feel like it is easier for PS players because of how the analog sticks are set up. The staggered analogs on Xbox is a little awkward.

I have found that none of these hitting tip videos help. The setup is different for everyone. Best thing to do is play around with the sliders and setting until you find what works for you.
So do you ever use power swing or always normal?
Never power swing, because it makes the PCI shrink when you swing. Always normal swing.

Pci and buttons don’t develop your real eye. Turn all that shit off and use pure swing hit where the ball is.
You can get a good hit with good contact and still ground out/pop fly. This game is probably 50% skill and 50% luck
