- This is not a concept car, this is the world’s first purpose fully autonomous robot taxi created by Zoox and today it’s taking me on the busy roads of Las Vegas.
The bi-directional fully electric, fully autonomous vehicle has no steering wheel and comes with a top speed of 75mph. It will be hitting the roads of Las Vegas before being rolled out in San Fransisco. I had a look behind the scenes at some of the tech involved to create it and at how you can hail the robotaxi through the Zoox app.
Huge thanks to : @ZooxUA-cam , zoox.com

We're living in the future!! 🤯 What do you guys think of Zoox?! This might be my new way to get around town... 🚕
Come back soon!!!
🏍️🚘
Back to the future 😊
Cars to the future cars? 😂😂
Nah I only trust myself driving hate "smart" cars
From $17K to $145K that's the minimum range of profit return every week I thinks it's not a bad one for me, now I have enough to pay bills and take care of my family.
I know this lady you just mentioned. She's really good with and on her job. She's helped a couple of families and individuals' finances
She is really a good investment advisor.
I was privileged to attend some of her seminars, that's how I started my crypto investment
I have heard a lot of wonderful things about Sonia Duke on the news but didn't believe it until now. I'm definitely trying her out
Started with 5,000$ and Withdrew profits
89,000$
I'm glad to write her tay I do hope she
will help handle my paycheck
properly☺️☺️☺️
It doesn't matter whether it would be a Ferrari, a simple Ford truck, fuel or electric engines: they all became obsolete! A car like this means no need to buy a car for most people. And for those that use cars all day long it should a more economical option, and without any hidden costs nor liabilities. Wonderful!
Yes!
I see this replacing cars in a lot of urban areas but in suburban neighborhoods and out in the middle of nowhere their effectiveness might really start to drop off compared to personal owned vehicles, say for example a lawn care business that needs to carry around lawn mowers and weed wackers, or a family that is late to an event and doesn't have time to wait for a zoox to come to their house first
That’s dramatic. It’s a driverless taxi, nothin more nothing less. If you think I’m wrong I’d love to know why.
no you will have car abonemang same as phone family abonemang
Fools, urban areas have way more congestion and people or streets without lines and obstacles this would never work stop the nonsense, what will people do when they have multiple places to go to and park at the mall and come back with bags, or people who leave filth or nasty things inside. This will never work especially in a high traffic area and what die it do I a snow storm or hard rain or if the electricity goes out this thing is no good. 😂😅
It's incredible how far technology has come. Bravo zooks!
It’s zoox
This is crazy. I really want to see this develop to the point where this is a mainstream technology.
We're working on it!
@@ZooxUA-cam Oh nice! Will this extend eventually into outside of the US? I get that it will definetely take a very long time but will that happen or is it only US based?
It's already mainstream in chinese cities
It basically already is.
@@mugil5116 Wow
We are living in the future
What you think 1900s were?
This is simply a magnificent and outstanding piece of technology. I sincerely hope that I will live to see the day when this kind of driving becomes the norm. I drive a W222 S560 4matic - but I'd swap it for this coach in a heartbeat for city driving.
My grandmother used to say, "Showing your money is like showing your underwear." How ironic people these days show their underwear to make money.
She end up not explaining the main reason why the car is symmetrical. It's mainly because of production cost reasons.
One of the things that make a car expensive to produce is the molds made to produce the body panels. They are VERY expensive. Which is one of the reasons a car is only cost effective if made in large numbers. So in order to make it cheaper to produce, the best way is to cut on the quantity of molds. Also since the glasses used are also symmetrical, this also helps reduce cost of production (car glass is also very expensive to produce).
With the car being symmetrical, you cut the cost of molds and glass by half. Plus it becomes cheaper to replace parts, since you have way more similar parts that can be used on several cars, on both sides, front or back. Instead of needing that one specific new piece that only fits on that one specific place in the car.
The same principle as the Citroën Ami in Europe. 👍🏻
I actually appreciate talking to human drivers in new locations. Great way to learn about a new area. I also appreciate helping the little guy earn a living.
You aren't helping them earn a living, you are helping a system of slavery continue.
You could also just as well talk to a bot about the local area.
This is nice to see! Love that it was purpose built and it looks like a great rider experience.
A moment of silence for uber drivers
Finally freed.
This legit looks a convenient way to commute, i can see it being actually useful than just being gimmicky, it doesn't deviate away from the whole idea of taxi and that's the reason for having good potential for future, but one thing to see in future is whether zoox can survive due to other companies being keen on developing their own tech, and also zoox has to think about the conventional taxi industry, which involves multi billion dollar companies like uber, and also all the drivers who would show heavy resistance to this tech, and all the taxi hailing companies joining hands in crushing this tech, or they may just end up joining hands with zoox..... I think a hybrid model where both taxi drivers and driverless taxis exist should be there,
The vehicle should have the old school black and yellow checkered cab paint job. 😎Nice review!
Thanks for the video AND this history lesson too! I can't wait for them to come to San Diego.
what a nice robotaxi zoox, so cool👋🏻👋🏻
Truly amazing 😊
The Zoox autonomous taxi represents a significant step forward in the realm of driverless technology. Its sleek, symmetrical design is built from the ground up to prioritize passenger comfort and safety. The vehicle's ability to navigate complex urban environments without human intervention showcases impressive advancements in AI and robotics. It's exciting to see how Zoox is paving the way for a future where transportation is more efficient, environmentally friendly, and accessible. This video provides a fascinating glimpse into the future of urban mobility.
This Robotaxi is insane! 🤯👍✨
this is brilliant, can't wait to commute with this kind of things
Awesome ❤🔥
Perfect for drunk person and to those busy person whose unable to pick up someone. 😊
Wonderful product i must agree
So apart from the touchscreen, this could be great for vision-impared, elderly and wheelchair users.
It also look big enough to take a standard pallet so could do "lastmile" deliverys to businesses as a side-hussle
Great video ❤
I love it
So happy to be alive to witness this
The taxi drivers might damage those Robo taxi 😂😂
Automated vehicles are totally cool…so futuristic and convenient. Amazing tech! ❤
You need to try the world first flying taxi at shenzhen china. Cause robot taxi is already common in china.
China has been using such taxi and I have seen it on video yet she is claiming this one to be the world-first robotaxi. Jeez!
@@youme1414she did clarify after that it's the first purpose built robotaxi.
Yeah but when you look at China, all the Tech and fashion, it all looks like 'American Instagram aesthetics' 😂
even their kids dress like American Instagrammers 😂 Many of them came to American tech schools, they saw the materials in American iPhones and started making all their new architecture and technology look the same. 😂
@@p.ipebombthey come to America to learn English and not tech, stop lying. That is why most of your tech gadgets including the phone you’re typing from is produced in china
Love Zoox been following them for a while. I hope they come to Australia!
JohnnyCab: “We hope you enjoyed the riiiiiiiide!”
Haha…boom
Love this
Out of any company doing autonomous vehicles, I’m most excited about Zoox. Feel like they have the most innovative design that really takes advantage of the tech. No front or back, passengers facing each other, etc.
They copied the Chinese design
amazing 🎉❤
The fact that a Zoox recording car drove by WHILE you were reviewing it is such a coincidence: 9:50
SoO CooL. Carriage style is eXcellent.
Technology is phenomenal. I would be nervous. My very first time letting the automobile control all the situations. I’m sure it does work though. It would be kind of interesting to see. Very interesting.
Cute looking Car btw.❤
Might be cool one day, but I'd still like to have a sportscar to enjoy 👌
yow thats so cool😮
it looks very cool I can't wait this I hope zoox comes to new York
Fantastic video! I have incurred so much losses trading on my own...I trade well on demo but I think the real market is manipulated…... Can anyone help me out or at least tell me what I'm doing wrong??
Same here, My portfolio has been going down the drain while I try trading, I just don't know what I do wrong..
Investing with an expert is the best strategy for beginners and busy investors, as most failures and losses in investment usuall happen when you invest without proper guidance. I'm speaking from experience
I think I'm blessed if not I wouldn't have met someone who is as spectacular as expert mrs
Anna Davis ..
High recommended 🙌
Wow, I'm surprised to see Janet mentioned here as well. I didn't know she had been kind to so many people
I thought myself and my family were the only ones enjoying Anna Davis trade benefits
You guys on fire 🔥💜💙
Excellent
The black bar above the head lamp, behind the passanger back is the good spot for advertisements. Hope this can subsidize the cost
that's amazing
What a new make hoo I love it
cool stuff
Super
Looks cute! Hope it does better than the self-driving taxis in San Francisco…🤣🤣 Those wheels on the corner… Fender bender will immobilize it immediately…
I must say, I have reservations about the feasibility of autonomous driving on UK roads. The driving conditions here present significant challenges for such technology.
Amazing ❤ but in fact i became afraid of the future 😊 because if something exceed its limit , it turns into its opposite...
Looking GoOdGiRl🇺🇲☀️
Agreed! I think she looks more fit - looks great.
You need to try Waymo in Phoenix. There are plenty of them out there.
Looking very good Alex!
Nice taxi but it looks strictly 4 person. Thay may be a little limiting.
this is a great company. I will use this robotaxi for sure. if its cheap
A few cities in China have been operating driverless taxis for many years.
It’s the ‘Frunk’ and the ‘Brunt’ 🤣🤣🤣
Great videos
My girlfriend works for them here in Vegas. How cool SuperCar Blondie was here
It's cool
technologies of the future) next gen)
I need to buy some of this, I'm sick and tired of driving everyday 😂
You look great btw 🎉
Would love to see these in Dubai.
I want this as soon as I get my driver's license please and thanks this Robo taxi made me speechless oh my God
??? as soon this is common, no one needs a drivers license anymore....
@@josefv8708
Some of us still prefer to drive.
You just need to be able to pay to use this, you don’t need a drivers license.
Oh I want one!!!! This is so cool.
They wont sell it... You use an app
@@1forrest1 I am an heiress sweetie. I get what I want. I already have 5 now. 🤣 Obviously I am joking. I am from the UK. there's no way we will have that tech here anytime soon.
Top 😎💪🏻
Very promising.😊
I'd kill to ride this robo taxi. I'd happily ride zoox all the time, I hope portland oregon gets the zoox robotaxi.
Bangalore roads could prove the ultimate test for it .... bring it on here.
So when a road changes or there is construction, how does the mapped out system work?
Crazy 😅
This car is very interesting.
Looks comfortable with that armrest at head height.
🤗🤗🤗
I have a thought? Has this car been tested for accident scenarios?
Just say another car hits it what are its maneuvers to take the clients to safety?
What if the temperature goes down to zero, electronics are affected so would this car be a seasonal or an all round weather car .
Imagine you using phones and other devices, are they any interceptions that may affect its AI systems 🤔
Yep, I live in Vegas and those Toyotas are an obiquitous sight here for the past several years with all the gadgets surrounding the vehicle....you'd see one of 'em every five minutes anywhere in the valley. I finally saw the end product (Robotaxi) a couple months ago around that area where Supercar Blondie was cruising....turning right from Sunset heading into Rainbow towards Russell. Maybe that was her filming this segment.
Me gustaría que estuvieran en Navarra esos taxis amén
Interesting car. Just have this question on my mind. How would the car react on bad weather? Like rain, zero visibility, snow and etc. would it be able to drive still? Or just cancel the trip? Hope to see more.
You can turn right on red (unless it says not to) anywhere in the US
This needs a double-sided touch screen tv in the middle of the vehicle, that can lower down and retract at a push of a button and the tv should connect to your bluetooth ear phones for your own sound. With a large choice of movie titles for our entertainment, for those long journeys.
Most journeys won’t be long enough to make this worthwhile. Instead the screen will show ads, same as many taxis do already. Customers won’t appreciate it but it will mean money for the taxi company.
Excellent, is this taxi in operation for public??
Phoenix/Tempe/Mesa need you!
I like it! It's futuristic and efficient. We need this to go country wide in America.
Turning right on a red light is nation wide not just random states.
We need that in our small town of hope BC
And hopefully they make a bigger one for 5-6 passengers
Bars and club futures to steady increase
COPS will give it a ticket and ask for your ID to assign it to you haha
Id like to see them use aptera's automotive solar tech on top of the car, can probably get ~1 kwh of panels. Would be very noticeable amounts of charging if there was a huge fleet of these.
For fleet vehicles it is probably more cost effective to have the solar panels on the roof of the depot building where they charge up overnight.
@@Sashazur you can do both. Def more cost effective in the long run if the cars had em too. If they're that worried about the immediate extra cost, they're not gonna put panels on the depot either. Cheaper to just use grid energy. To me it's just such a waste to have that massive of a flat surface roof of the vehicle with nothing on it.
looks cool but I am more excited for the Verne taxi
Carriage!? I was sure it was a toaster.
Oh shucks! Blondie, I thought it had wings- on it!
The Zoox Robotaxi is a game-changer in the world of autonomous vehicles.
It's not a gamechanger-other Robotaxis have been operating since 2017-Zoox did not atart until 2023. It wasn't the world's first, by a longshot. Look at the Robotaxi wiki.
Vegas is one of the better places for robotaxi. Flying in, taking a taxi to the hotel, then walking everywhere on the strip is normal for a visit. I’m only concerned about getting out of the vehicle if there is an accident. Does the system shutdown and lock you in as it starts to burn up with you inside?
Can I get one of those Toyota Highlander test vehicles after they are done testing
You trust this car. Not the other drivers on road. Somewhat scary to ride.
an introvert’s dream
A new form of public transportation... Basically like a bus right? Let's hope it is sustained.. It looks interesting.
