Hi Jamie, another great wee video. The refillable pens which i got recently screw off the opposite way than you would normally, i hope that helps, cheers Liam
Always entertaining to see the contents of the brown boxes. The carrier deck looks interesting and has spurred me to place an order, just need it to be made in 1/48 too, although I imagine that will be coming in the not too distant future.
Hi Jamie. Love the unboxings mate! I was sad when you finished ! 🥺🤣 The books look amazing, as do the LFD set's and what about the Armahobby stuff!? Look forward to that one 👍 Take it easy mate and I hope santa brings you some good stuff to show us all! 😁👊
Good stuff, Jamie! Those desert tan socks look like the bee's knees and congratulations on the Arma Wildcat. I think I'll order some of those refillable brushes. I ordered the LFD Mk.Vc conversion a few weeks ago and it should be here any day now and yet another Tamiya Mk.IX will be here tomorrow. Selfishly, I hope that I also receive the LFD original "erroneous" nose parts because in addition to doing the Mk.Vc conversion I wanna to sus out whether the extra nose could be used to improve the venerable old Hasegawa Mk.Vb that I've been hoarding along with a bunch of Barracuda, Aires, and other bits for John Waddy's EP401/QJ-Q of No. 92 Squadron in North Africa. Honestly, it would be nicer if someone with the necessary talent would produce a "b" wing conversion for the Tamiya Mk. IXc although I don't see that ever happening. Enjoy your holidays and have a very merry Christmas!
This gives me an idea of how to convert a 1/24 Airfix Mk.IXc into a Malta Mk.V. Would have to add the raised fuselage rivets but worth it to have a George Beurling Malta Spitfire.
@@thescalemodellingcafe I have a donor Trumpeter V kit for parts and a Mk.IXc kit in the stash. There are resin exhaust and aftermarket for upgrading. It wouldn't be much more difficult than correcting and improving the flawed, 1/24 A6M2b Trumpeter Zero Iv'e been building. Also have four 1/32 Tamiya F-4J Phantom IIs that are being converted into long nose E or EJs with silicone molded, resin noses I have made so I have experience with this type of modification. If the desire outweighs the labour, modellers will make it happen.
Always love an unboxing video Jamie - just to see what's on the Horizon and it's Spitfire heavy - which is a delight for me. Quick question - big thick woolly socks + desert - are you always flying early / when it's cold or am I missing something?
@@thescalemodellingcafe You live and learn - an old school friend took his ppl ( in 1980 ) and had a pair of shami leather flying gloves - he's the BA 777 Training head chap now!
Just about to watch. Another mince pie, tea, and another Xmas unboxing. Here for it. I'm still waiting for you to open the wrong box and pull out some lingerie but maybe next time. It's been a great year of content from you Jamie.
Thanks Jamie. I'm also loving the Laminar flow conversions as much as you are, Mathieu's work is untouchable, perfect :)
Thanks Andrew, the bloke is a genius!
Glad to see you upgraded from your old hacksaw for cutting open the boxes 😂 another great unboxing video👏🏻👏🏻👍🏼
Thanks mate, it is much easier!

I sussed that after filming mate, very odd!

The paint brush things have reverse threads mate!!! I did the same as you!
I sussed that out when playing with them after mate, very curious!
I do love an unboxing video to remind me of the excitement of a parcel drop !😂

I think with Kotare's B due soon there's not much point!

That sounds like an awful lot of work! You'd have to get a donor Mk.V kit for the nose, prop, oil coolers etc.

And are these socks good Jamie? -I find good quality warm socks hard to find at reasonable cost at least. Nice haul BTW!
Those socks are superb for the desert mate, they wick away the sweat the best.
I'll use a keyboard next time....
😂

We wear temperate boots so need the socks, but these wick away sweat much more effectively.
