I’m blown away. Three years? This would have taken me ten. You’re a carpenter, electrician…but most of all an artist. Most new model railroaders just “wing it” and build as they go. This requires planning, drawings and …I can’t even imagine what else. Everything you build has to be done with an eye on the end product. I’m at a loss for words.

I have built many HO, N and Z scale layouts in my lifetime. And I thought they were pretty realistic, but I have to admit what you have presented in this video deserves my admiration. The detail in planning and execution is flawless. I just wish that kind of detailing was possible in what I do for the last 40 years - outdoor railroading. My hat off to you.

  • @ricktaylor14001

We can all agree that this is amazing, and the attention to detail is out of this world! This takes a lot of commitment, to starting and following through with it, but also long term, the commitment to where it’s located… you’re NOT “packing that up and moving it” anywhere! What a build. Anxious to see what else is coming.

Chapeau!

  • @Bobby-xr4bo

I can’t believe the amount of detail in this.. even the close up shots. It looks like real grass. Real bushes, real brickwork, the fallen trees in the woods, mushrooms even lol,
I’ve haven’t seen many model railways but I’ve seen a few in transport museums and places like that,
But I’ve never ever seen anything that comes close to this for attention to detail.. I mean.. the dirt on the road from the tractors. It’s like wow… you sir are a genius.

I lived in Germany for 3 years working for my American Company and a co-worker told me about a toy and hobby store in Amersterdam. His hobby was huge metal cranes. His collection was staggering. This store in Amersterdam was something out of a fairy tale. The models, the kits, diorama’s. Trains of all sizes, even ones that are live steam and you can ride them. Slot cars, drones , gliders from small to huge. RC everything, planes, rockets. I mean people this place is 8 floors with an exceptional coffee shop inside it. I had heard the best hobby store in the world is in Belgium right next store to the Spa Raceway. But I never got there. This place is halfway on the street mall that’s outside. There are no cars. It’s just a giant mall outside. I kick myself because I can’t remember the name of it. This is 1987. But if you go there look for it. It’s just unbelievable. PS-your work is not good, it’s outstanding. When you do something like this all you want to do is find the next project! I restore lawn tractors and then take them to next level. I’m retired and it keeps me going and takes my mind off how sick I really am. Good luck friend and keep going!

I always have found that the mind of a human can be measured in increments of attention to detail and meticulous attention to detail, there are very few that have this genetic gift to painstakingly engineer a reality that is different from where they began.
What is fascinating is the creation and how it changes a reality, but even more so the mind and how it navigates this long process....

I had a big nice n-scale layout once. I too worked on it for quite some time! Then my lovely wife had an affair! I kicked her out and divorced her! The judge ordered the house sold! I tore the entire layout out in less than an couple of hours! Good luck 🤞

You must either be divorced, living alone and a hermit or be married to the most understanding wife on the planet to be allowed to have 3 years to yourself, to do what you want, when you want and in a room dedicated to your hobby. If envy is a sin, I'm going to hell.

Many years ago I was in a team publishing a model railroad magazine in Switzerland. I have met model railroaders with truly artisan skills, but your skills, dedication, creativity and most of all your love for your hobby leaves me in awe and admiration! And the time lapse is simply mind boggling!🫶👍Cheers from🇨🇦

    Einfach nur… Respekt.

Something about model train's has always intrigued me as a kid well into adulthood. I could watch those things for hours not to mention the construction of them. You my fine gent give "labor of love" a whole new meaning. Very impressive work. Hope to see pt. 2 soon

this is incredible ,ive never seen anything like this before.youve got to remember, each stage is a different skill.part carpenter, part electrician ,part artist part model making, part mathematician .he has the lot.i sustained a massive head injury which broke 8 vertibrae and 1 disc.this lead to brain damage and i cant even picture what i want to do with my train set.i cant do any of the skills this man has except electrics, but even that skill is failing .well done mate

Speaking as an architect who has done his fair share of model building, it's reassuring to see that it's still a passion for people. Computer renderings and 3d printers have made hand-built models an all but extinct discipline in my field, unfortunately. Either way, this was a great project, thank you for sharing!

I was fortunate enough as a kid my dad built me a two-story slot car track in the garage on 2 4x8 pieces of plywood, and to top it off, I had the coolest train track setup going all around it full on grass, green trees, signal lights, street lights etc.... and when I came across this video, had to check it out and comment😮 this is not only a work of art, but a Marvel of engineering. Absolutely amazing. PRICELESS

The skill levels that some people possess, never fails to amaze me . The sheer planning in the first place must have involved many hours of work , because I assume if this gentleman had forgotten something, deep in the heart of this epic model it would be all most impossible to rectify . Best wishes and kind regards to your good self . 👍 from here in the Uk

I used to build with my dad when I was a kid. We had a set that took up half of the 2 car garage. I helped make ponds, add leaves to trees, build the structures... and it was so fun to run the trains! We even had an HO scale track and trains. I miss it so much. My dad has been gone since 2017, and within a year after he passed, my step mom got rid of all of his model railroad stuff. 😢
