It's for total beginners and kids but it's the fundamentals of footwork, all of it.

    Shane:
I'd like to give you a tip. We use geometry in our art as well.
Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner of the large square (the square formed from the 4 smaller component squares). This will divide each square into a triangle. Then draw a circle around the large square, with each vertex of the square intersecting the circle once. Draw one more circle around the absolute center of the entire figure, with the diameter being the width of your stance.
Now you can work with the squares, triangles, and circles of many arts! The squares of boxing and punches, the triangles and kicks of arts such as tae kwon do and muay boran, and the circles and takedowns of kung fu and silat. The figure will also be a lot more complex, so it will build mental coordination and fast paced thinking.
Shane sir, you are a great martial artist in your own way and I appreciate what you do. I share this with you in the hopes of self improvement. Have a good day!

Shane this is your best video yet and the head movement one. I say that, from watching approx. all of your videos from a long time, that this is a "basics" that everyone needs to learn "FIRST." I myself did Muay Thai/Thai boxing for 2 years in my teens and some techniques in your videos are a bit advanced or at least require a person to have spent some time in the practice. Such as "Roundhouse kick to superman punch," " 3 ways to close distance," and "Tornado kick." It took me months just to prefect a roundhouse kick on a bag. Most common mistakes for me and others were no foot work/head movement, but just standing and throwing punches. Anyways, i love your videos and keep them coming.

fightTIPS hey thanks for the reply shane. i loved the comprehensive footworks drill and evn saved it in favorites. like i said, i always have a hard time keeping my leg in sync which is very important for a fighter as u highlighted at the start of the video. and m sure those gr8 leg drills will surely help alot. also co-incidence, i was watching the legwork of mohammed ali the other day coz he has awesome footwork just like u mentioned in ur video. Thank you once again.
