Nevermind just boxing, people who are interested in making UA-cam videos should pay attention to you. Concise information, fluently delivered and done so when doing some relatively energy-sapping movements. All in one take... You make it look easy, Fran. Still a fan big after ten years of watching 💪 Cheers
You inspired me to finally start boxing. I always wanted to but it was too expensive growing up and I was nervous to join a gym because I live in an expensive city but now I'm working at one so I get to learn for free. I've been using all of your tips and I've never felt more confident. Thank you for fueling my new passion. Stay blessed! 👍🏾
Was hesitant on downloading the “free ebook” usually they are short and not very helpful only to get your email hooked, but this pdf is insanely helpful and genuinely out there to help people so thank you so much for being genuine with your free ebook!!! Not often you find genuine people these days that want to help people.
I've been focusing on boxing(striking) for a couple of years now, along with other MMA disciplines, but I have to say your boxing videos have really cleaned up my technique and are the best I've found on UA-cam for clear, concise fundamentals. We stand more square and less bladed in MMA training to prevent leg kicks, but even still, all the other movements are the same, and it's good to have high-quality videos like this to test the MMA teachings against. Thanks, mate, from one scouser to another! If I ever see you out in town, I'll buy you a pint 😂
I’m a beginner at boxing and this video was absolute gold. Always thinking how to move the feet, weight distribution to move effectively and be attack ready. When I box I feel off balance and keep trying to figure out how to balance myself.. this was clinical in delivery and something I’ll be practicing day in day out. Keep them coming! Thank you!
The basics are applied at all levels and you can always get better at them so yeah it doesn't matter if someone finds them boring or not if you're into boxing you gotta train the basics
hello! im a viewer from Korea, and i recently started working as a boxing coach and wow! i've seen many boxing guides on youtube, but sir's one is one of the best! thank you for sharing your knowledge! All the best with you sir!
These videos are great for up and coming boxers ,Fran is great at emphasising the really important points . I'm in my fifties now and have started doing some heavy bag work to keep fit after boxing in my teens ,these videos would have been so helpful approaching my 13/14th year .Keep up the good work Fran .
I was an amateur boxer from age 7 to 17 and then a karate practitoner - and various other martial arts - until now (in my fifties!). Having discovered your channel, I'm now incorporating boxing skills into my karate and it has made a huge difference. I'm not sure I properly learned all the correct boxing skills when I was a kid and teenager; I think maybe I went into fighting tournaments too quickly and started relying on a reduced skill set that seemed to work for me. Anyway, you are a great instructor, and you've helped to rekindle my love of Boxing! So, thanks, and keep up the good work!
Thanks very much Neville, appreciate that. When a set of skills works that does the job it makes sense to stick with it. You will well know, we're always learning aren't we and I suppose that's the balance of evolving at the right pace. Thanks again Neville, really nice of you to leave your comment 👍
beautiful,I laid out lines for angles and straight attacks and the pattern is a storehouse of techniques from basics,as you teach.all in a neat package. You're a great coach
Love this my coach Rico Ramos taught me just like this, none of that fancy bull… and I love coming back to this especially since you explain with so much depth so that helps a lot
Been a fan and subscriber for years. Fran's instruction, along with hard contact sparring, has taken my TCMA skills to a whole different level. For the striking part of H2H fighting Fran's channel is pure gold. Never his intention I'm sure, however, the benefits are undeniable.
I’m a student of historic fencing. The old books speak heavily of what to do with your hands, sometimes body movements. But rarely footwork. I feel that boxing would be a decent sport to borrow some things from for the kind if fighting we do in HEMA.
Hey Coach! I want to get into boxing at home please could you link one of your videos to teach me about how to correctly throw punches, stance and everything.. thank you
I'm so so compared to others at the gym. I focus on the basics and then other tricks come out when sparring, it just happens. You develop your own style
big greetings Fran I like to come over to England I have sohn levin is 8 years old and is boxing like 6 Month now he has a talent I think, I like to train with you footwork. greetings Manuel from Switzerland
What about the other diagonals where the direction of movement would be perpendicular to the line between your feet, thus there is no clear front or back foot?
There you go, top of the class. Wondered whether someone would spot that. So yes, definitely some things to consider - I quickly cover that here - ua-cam.com/users/shortsZSozYX0I5co
Happy New year Fran, just subscribed! great video, never has anyone described the basics of boxing in such a simple and crystal clear way!!! This Vid is exactly what boxing is in a nut shell, the rest is just details..... The Force is Strong with U Balkan Shipyards
@Fran Sands you're a good lad, glad to see your channel growing, and getting the recognition it deserves. You'll always have a supporter right here, mate. 👊🏻😎👍🏻
Fran love your videos! You Break them down and point out the little nuances of the sweet science. Just a thought I'd really think that it would be awesome if you could break down fights what each fighter is doing or trying to do just a thought I think your insight would be a master class cheers!
I did both as a kid and squash made the penny drop regarding foot position, commanding the middle and the importance of stamina training. It also speeds up your though processes, hand to eye and never taking your eye off the target.and timing.

Boxing was once a poor man's sport nowadays it's expensive to join a club especially when I have two grandsons thanks to UA-cam we can practice at home
Yes true, some clubs double as commercial premises now. In our amateur boxing club we've been able to hold prices at £2.50 per session for those who can pay, and most amateur boxing clubs can be good value.
@@myboxingcoach £65 per month and it's only open a few hours a day so if I took my two grandsons it would be, £195 a month my daughter got me a new heavy bag for Christmas so that will just have to do

Never get board learning the basics. We all need to see this. As soon as I think you know that's when you get bad habits. Thank you fran
