Hi! Well you "broke my heart" at frames 5:53 when you said we'd have no control on the Pioneer Touchscreen. I've got an AVH-x7800BT (connected to a Samsung Galaxy 8+) and really wanted to be able to do text messaging (from the touchscreen) as well as the Miracast ability to look at UA-cam videos.

thanks for the vid. i think this is my best option since my unit wont connect to my S9 via usb. i tried the firmware update and follwed all directions exactly (fat32, only file, etc) still get an error. my only reason for wanting the usb is for bi directional control for navigation through the appradiolive app. amazon is out of the Beklkin, i have an extra chromcast, do think that might work?

Is it best to hook up the Belkin Miracast directly on the back of the unit or would it be best to run a HDMI/USB cable form the back of the unit to lets say inside the center console and then hooking up the Miracast? Im wondering just incase you want use USB 1 for iphone.

I need your assistance.. I have a Pioneer AVH-5800BS and purchased the isimple media cable, miracast dongle. I have a Samsung 6 edge. I tried and cannot get it to work. I know my phone has mirrorlink but is it not possible to get the same miracast features with my 6edge? I
I wish to do this on my Pioneer avh x2800bs, but I also have an existing back up camera cable to plug in (from a previous stereo in the car). I haven't studied the ports. Are there enough ports to plug in both miracast and backup camera cables?

Awesome video as always fellas. I have a Pioneer AVH600EX. I have video playing via iSimple Medialinx and the Belkin Miracast Dongle. I have Fosgate amps (2) running my JBL components and another running my JBL subs. While in screen mirroring mode the sound is only coming out through the components. Any Idea of what is happening?

Run a ground cable and your e-brake cable and put them on a switch. When you're in motion flip the switch and you'll have image. You'll have to switch on everytime you want to watch but small price considering you shouldn't be watching while your drive.

Can a splitter be used in an AUX port of a Pioneer AVH-2440NEX? I have one of my maestro RR plugged into my AUX what i believe is my idata sirus xm,is that true? but i want to try and hook up miracast too.

I have my isimple media linx hooked up right and my Belkin Dongle connected, my phone is casting on my pioneer avh x2800bs the only problem I'm having is my subwoofers but out... I get no sound from them.. when I select the Bluetooth settings I get sound but when I change it to the av settings nothing... Do you have any idea what the problem is?? I have the iSimple media links and Belkin Miracast connected to a Avh-x5800bhs. I can only get sound out of my component speakers, not the subs. Also, I am unable to get the video to show on my headrest monitors. I have separate amps for my subs and components, does that have anything to do with it?
And instead of commenting on the other video, I'm going to ask my other question here.
I'm aware of how to have the settings, Smartphone/USB, to get videos off of a USB flash drive, but I still can not get any videos to play. I have tried multiple formats of Div-X. I had one start for a brief second, and everytime it froze at the same spot at the very beginning. I retried that format again and nothing. I have tried multiple flash drives, multiple brands, multiple sizes. I have tried it with an unformatted USB and a formatted. It reads the flash drive and the names and titles but all I can get it to say is, "Unplayable File".
So I was wondering what happens if you just plug the CA-C3av cable into the spots where the Isimple medialinx is and then plug the aux end into the phone. Will it just only be audio?

@Five Star Car Stereo can u try plugging the Kenwood Cable end into an IPhone's headphone jack and then plugging the AV end into the head unit and see if it will transmit onto the head unit screen? Thanks u want know till u try cuz u have all the cables 😋
No that does not work anymore, Apple took all the analog video outputs away from the phone.

Just had avh.5800 installed in my Focus. I have AV and USB out in my glove box. Can I use an USB-splitter so I can power both an AV->HDMI-converter and a Miracast dongle from the USB on the player? Or would I need to stretch an extra power cable to an USB in my midconsole?

Great Video guys. can I buy a chrome cast MiraCast Dongle and plug it into my HDMI port on my Pioneer SPH-DA210 App Radio instead, and utilize the USB to power the Dongle also? I like that design, as I won't have much space behind my radio, and The HDMI is my input port, rather than the Aux port or RCA's that you showed....Secondly, while I have the unit pulled out, do you have a hands free microphone that you can recommend that will reduce my road noise?...Maybe a parrot dual mic?
We recommend the Belkin MiraCast dongle in this video not the Cromecast.

unrelated question.... Since I'm getting best buy to install this I don't think they'll put the micro-bypass on for me (AVH model) instead of yanking it out and splicing it myself can I just do this...... I have a manual transmission and the first click up on my e-brake brings the e-brake light up on my dash even though the emergency brake isn't actually engaged at all. Is that enough to get around "need to be in park" sensor? I could just click it one up and use the dvd or av while driving? (For passengers I wouldn't be watching)

I have a dual Miracast Video Adapter and when I use it..it works but buffers alot. What could cause the buffer? Is the Belkin better for the buffer?
Most of the time it is the network your phone is on. Try taking it in the house and trying it with your phone on WiFi and see if it get better. That way you will know if it is the network or the device.
IMPORTANT QUESTION! Do I have to bypass my breaks to continue using the miracast while driving?

I have the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX. I hooked up the Belkin Miracast and it is being powered by USB1 since I have my Android Samsung Note 8 hooked to USB2 for Andorid Auto. When I go to Miracast the deck's safety feature wont let it mirror my phone unless the parking brake is engaged. How do I bypass this feature? Or what am I doing wrong?

The 2850 works the same way as we are demonstrating in this video. The MiraCast dongle has its own wifi network built into it.
would you be able to add a usb Y splitter on the back of the head unit instead of tuning the usb to a lighter adapter?
