Also… it’s called a universal bypass module use that for bypassing pioneers don’t let this man confuse you.
If you are watching this video and you’re not a professional that KNOWS what they’re doing. Save yourself a car and some money let you money work for you.
@@exoticaudio7338 so a bypass module will let me watch visual videos whilst driving ? Any links to one ?
This is the kind a videos that I like straight to the point not waste time at all so specific well explained and works perfect Thanks Bro first step works for my Pioneer avh 210ex stereo
glad it helped bro
so glad I found your videos. I had a radio installed by a friend of a friend in 2016 and never bothered to figure out why I could never access my Bluetooth settings (it's always greyed out). This year, I finally got to the point where I have the max number of devices stored, and I needed to delete one, but I can't because I can't get access the settings. After some research, I know it's because a wire isn't grounded, and now I know what to do to fix the problem.
Thank you!
aaaaaaayyye another problem solved im happy my vids help some many people thanks for watching
I used to read novels while driving but now I will be watching DVDs while driving! Pimp!!
Great video very informative and simple to follow thanks!
Thank you so much for this video I have been scratching my head for 3 hours and u had it fixed in a minute
I’ve been looking into figuring out how to fix the Bluetooth in my car for over a year.. I watched 3 minutes of this video and fixed the problem in under 5. Thank you!
That's exactly what I need to make it work in my car , thank you ,I subscribed all ready, saludos from México!!!
JUST what I was looking for. Thank you!
Glad I could help!
Yo, this was the best video explaining this. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. You got yourself a new subscriber. Thanks.
i know this is an older video but i watched it and ordered your bypass, works Awesome! Thank you so much
I had exactly the same problem.
I simply got the parking brake wire and got electric tape stuck on to any metal surface on the rear of the unit and it plays the video. It just needs a magnetic surge .
And thanks to you , it worked.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH BRO
You bad bro. Love the quick videos. No nonsense “I got my radio from Amazon and had fun” crap lol
I just bought a Pioneer AVH-A215BT, I'm installing it today. Thanks for heads up, great video ! Cheers from Down Under !!
My guy that is the exact same radio I installed in my truck You answered the question 110% for me thank you very much thank you thank you.
Thanks my dude for pointing out the wiring. Other guys patted themselves on the back for backup cameras and skipped the rest. 👍🏻👍🏻
This is by far the best and most informative video I've ever watched in line with this type of search. To the point, incredibly easy to understand and u clearly show how yo do it. Also want to add that was pretty fkn cool how u used the Milwaukee battery. Had no idea. I will be subscribing to say the least. Thank you for ur time and great video
Wow are u his mom ? 😂
Bahhh! You beat me to it! Lol...so true...good vid tho
Mr JP, THANK YOU! I just used your video to install a ground switch for my new Pioneer AVH-120BT. AWESOME!
So glad this helped
Does the AVH120 BT have decent power. I bought one haven't installed it yet. Did you have to use a grounding switch?? Or did it work just simply by grounding it out
Mine keep blowing the fuse I don’t know that’s going on there 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks man for sharing that! I gotta do this asap! Love your channel.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to make this video.
Dude what great information I was! Thank you very much that was the best video I've watched for an install! I did not know what to do with the pink B- wire
Thank you so much for this video. I wasn’t looking for it but needed it anyway. Glad it showed up on my streams, lol. You now have a new subscriber.

Thank you💯💯
I wired my Avh-120bt pioneer screen the way you showed in video with the green parking brake wire bypass hooked to black ground wire And turned it off and on numerous times and now my radio deck is burnt! Thanks alot jackass
Thanks bro !! Got a pioneer and the second way worked great !
THNKS JP JUST GOTA DA NEW AVH W4500NEX! LOVE UR GUIDE N EXPLAINS ON MY LEVEL OF TALKIN 😆!!
Thanks man this helped so much! Liked and subscribed!! 💯
My parking brake happened to break so this was perfect. There ground wire method worked on my Kenwood thank you Mr JP
so glad this helped you out
Totally Worked!!!!! Even on Japanese Carrozeria Pioneer AVIC-MRZ02
answered my questions! its funny I've been a mechanic for 12 years I can swap motors, build engines, suspension, alignment and Hvac. Anything you name it but aftermarket Radios systems always kick my ass they have so many quirks i tried to install a sub today only to realize I don't have Rca jacks for sub need a line out converter and I needed a radio module interface box for the head unit to even work in my GM truck, i tried to ground out my parking wire and since I have a pioneer head unit it wants a timed pulse.... every time I mess with this stuff I appreciate and understand how a shop can make money doing only car Audio haha. There's a lot of BS to know! You can be a great mechanic but that doesn't even make you a best buy car audio installer. thanks for showing me how its done! subscribed and liked
Lol anytime bro I actually get this comment in real life when I meet people in hvac they always say man I can wire up a whole building but im.getting my a** kicked by the car stereo🤣😂. Glad to have you here
@@jptheinstallguy 😂😂
Subbed man. You helped me best 2 times in one week. Keep it up!
Thank you very much for this video!
Great video this had me tripping now my stereo works 💯💯💯💯
where would the yellow wire on the bypass go for an Alpine iLX-w650
So helpful !!! Great video. I’m using your toggle switch technique. Take care !!
🤜🏾🤛🏾💯💯
This video helped a lot I wired the ebrake with my ground in the harness but only Bluetooth works and it can play cds for music but if I want to watch a movie or use the WebLink it doesn’t work and the switch method helped me now I can use everything and it leave it on all the time and turn it off here and there
Even tho there are a couple mistakes this video made it the most understandable video of the four that I watched
Thanks for this video, I had a Sony XAV60 and the bypass on that was easy. I now have a pioneer and it requires post that you mentioned. thanks to your video, I'm going to go with the switch method.
What is the easy way to deal with the Sony if you could share - or anyone for that matter? Just take the green parking cable to ground and be done? (I guess Method#1 from video). Thanks in advance.
@@boombeef Yep, connecting the (light green) parking cable to ground worked for my Sony XAV60.
I fixed it!!! Thank you now my kids can watch movies while on the go
Yeah it would be fun for passengers to watch while you drive, and you can always listen along.
Thanks bro. Worked great. Very easy too.
I created a relay use a 12v relay like one a fuel pump relay with a connecting base. Work like a charm when you hook the wires up correctly.
Excellent description and explainer!
Thank you, this was fast and helpful!
🤜🏾🤛🏾💯
Thank you for your invaluable information, highly appreciate it, have a great day.
Glad it was helpful!💯
Great video straight to the point, I wish more are like this
I try to make all of them straight to the point
Fantastic. Thanks for the information. I had two stereos that used two different ways. Both from your video so that's for the tips. Great!!!
Thanks matey, very well explained 👍😀
Very informative. Thank you.
Well done j.p.better than super cheap tec s .keep up the good work .
great video. thank you!
You are awesome bro thank you so much
Very helpful, thanks!
Very useful, thanks!
Nice work. Perfect explanation
Well done video. Thank you for posting this
any time bro💯
Thanks for showing my favorite gospel group! Lol the Canton Spriturals !
Thanks bro. This worked just by grounding it
Thank you for the straight forward and well explained methods.. I needed wanted to know how the Toggle switch method would be wired
and that seems to be the easiest for me.
Thanks for the tutorial TEAM!
BIG ROO DAWG
Thanks alot bro.. Saw your vid and my dvd works great.. Thank god for youtube cuz it saves alot of money to go get it installed
Thank you. IT worked for me.
Thank you.
Hey , I used one of the blank switch holders for a feature my model doesn’t have. So unless your car has every option , go and pay 4 bucks for a toggle that fits perfectly in a recess made for such a purpose. My install looks stock and instead of wiring to parking brake I run to a switch installed in the dash using existing hole . Just take the blank out and snap the new switch in it’s place. Or just wire it to your p brake ! Don’t watch dvds unless you parked and ready to make out lol!
Very cool. Thx man.
The first thing worked for me thx man
This video is very helpful... will be using method 2 for my pioneer
Glad it helped
Very helpful thank you
That did help.. thanks
awesome vid! big thanks! i am using method #3 on a pioneer avh1550nex..after playing music for about 20 mins, the radio just shuts off, sometimes it comes back on, sometimes it stays off until i restart truck. would the little bypass relay installed cause this to happen?, its never done this before bypass relay install. thank u
That was perfect working, thank you a lot. Could install the whole radio, but one last problem persist. The antenna extends even I use the USB or CD, is there a setup to stop the antenna doing that?
Awesome Video! Great job! I have a question. If I have an amp connected to my main speakers and another amp connected to my sub am I using the "pre-outs" because my JVC deck says I won't get the "beep tone" If I'm using pre-out connected and I didn't wire my stereo. My bro has amps and stuff like crazy on his deck and still gets a beep tone when touching menus and such. I WANT the beep tones and they're turned on but I don't hear anything.....any idea? TY
Hey quick question , can I wire the the ground to the black ground off the radio , or does it need to be on a metal surface , I'm using a 2 pong toggle switch
Thanks man, you rock!
This worked for me! I just wired it to my ground! Thanks bro.
No problem 👍
Super informative bro bro , thanks , just got that sub from me , keep pushing G , and you make it not so intimidating
Thanks for video JP! Have a question - installing the bi-pass on an Alpine iLX-407. The harness has a yellow blue wire which connects to the green wire for parking brake. The additional yellow wire - does that connect to the solid yellow wire off the harness? Thank you!
Best explanation I've seen on how to do this.
💯💯🙌🏽
Question: I am installing an Alpine iLX-W650 and using an interface for a 06 Corvette. without any connection (grounding the wire for the e-brake) the radio still looking for the e-brake signal and for some reason, it works when I to the e-brake sequence for the Alpine. I am not sure if the interface is getting a CAN-Bus signal without the wires connected but is there a way I can bypass that e-brake signal using the chip harness you were talking about in this video?
great video bro. thank you so much.
anytime💯
thx jp! do you kno i was gone off this thing but thank to you!
Where does the yellow wire go for the Alpine? I just ordered it because I have the iLX-507 radio which I’m about to install
Awesome video.
Thank you for channel! how/where would you connect amp remote blue wire if car unit does not have a blue/white remote wire?
Thanks for video, I should have spent more on the higher model pioneers. Jailbreaking the video lock on the DMH-2660nex is a serious headache. My patriot had a broken pioneer, so got the 2660 pioneer last night, used the same wiring already adapted, so appears former owner didn't hook up that green bypass to a ground, or any other bypass method. I'll have to pull new one back out and try to do this. :)
JP! Thank you for your knowledge. Keep doing what you do!
Thanks for watching ill keep sharing.
Great work.. know how to do it now...
nice video can you tell me we’re would the vss pink wire would go on which harness and we’re
