Yes! We had a 2007 CRV and had not looked at a newer one since then. Hopefully this one is just as reliable as our 2007 was. Just a lot safer and with more bells and whistles.

I’m a young 64 year young senior-just me......l really like the CRV & HRV, I am hoping to possibly get one or the other when my VW Lease is up this year.
Think the HR-V would actually be perfect😉
The HR-V to us seemed very slow to respond to accelerating. I would almost be afraid to drive it on the interstate and have to merge or get out of the way of a big truck. It is also much smaller on the inside. Rear leg room is especially tight. Our bigger concern was the slow acceleration. We wanted to like it but just didn’t feel good about it due to that alone.
Thanks for your review. I have been researching 3 cars. Toyota Rav4, Honda CR-V and Volkswagen Tiguan. Currently own a Kia Soul ('13). I've settled on the CR-V and will be test driving one Tuesday (8/18/20) in Atlanta.

Audio is terrible in my 2020 Honda CRV EX-L. Literally no bass and only the front two speaker seem to work. Is there a balance setting?
I hated the faux wood trim as well, you can look at the Illuminated Trim kit accessory to change that, it’s a dealer installed kit because of the illuminated CR-V branding that appears on the passenger side of the front dash.
I will tell you. I did not like it with the light leather just seemed way out of place. With the dark black dash. Then brown fake wood then light gray leather. It all didn’t mix well for me. We actually went with the black leather. So it’s black dash brown faux wood trim, then black leather. This looks much better. If you haven’t bought one yet. Be sure to look at the black leather option. Looks much better and classier in my opinion. I will be showing ours in future videos. So please subscribe. Thanks.
I’m in Canada, here we only have black leather available to us. However we do have the Black Edition which is the top trim available after the Touring. The faux wood trim (brown and black) is replaced with a much nicer grey and black trim. This is the model we went with and picking it up in a couple of weeks. We are upgrading from 2016 EX-L that had a very nice high gloss darker faux wood with aluminum contouring that looked so much better. Also in Canada we have a Sports Trim, which is basically the EX model, but it has a nice grey trim (no faux wood at all) along with 19" Wheels. It was very nice but no leather seats.

What about the issues of oil dilution from the new 1.5 Turbo engine? Did you check with other owners? As a former 2012 CRV happy owner, after studying the issues from China, USA and Canada I just did not trust the new engine. I did love my old CRV (so did my wife) but just replaced it with a Subaru because I did not trust the new engine.
They actually fixed that by putting in components to heat up the engine faster and keep fuel from building up and getting into the oil in cold climates 2019 up have been updated with that
I know about the “fixes” and the big question is: DID THEY FIX THE PROBLEM? Too many opinions and not enough solid facts is why I could not trust the new engine, especially when I want it to work for 7 or 8 years!!!
All the reviews I've seen that have talked about it said that it was fixed in the new models and wasn't really a problem in the old unless you had short commutes

@@manalive4524 I have a 2018 EXL which has had the fix applied in Nov 2018(software update and replacement of Climate unit) and I still have oil dilution issues. Oil is black shortly after oil change and it smells of gas. Trying to get out of the lease and will probably go with Mazda CX5.
Looks the same for the most part. I would like to see these get a little better infotainment. Maybe change up the dash some. Either way, I will have one a little later on in my life.
Yes. Would like the infotainment updated as well. I think more people should go the way Tesla has gone with the tablets that offer a ton of info and customization. I also do not understand why these cannot be updated after purchase. To add more features and functionality. It’s a computer with a touch screen and this even has buttons. Shouldn’t be that difficult to update to new software when it is available.

Other than the somewhat dated infotainment. The CR-V is a great vehicle. Acceleration is a little sluggish if you have the Eco mode on. If you need to get a good start off the line turn off the Eco mode and the start/stop engine feature. We want the hybrid but they are offering such great deals on the non hybrid it’s hard to justify the $$$ difference to go with the hybrid.
What was in the plastic bag in the trunk? I recently bought my CRV EX-L couple of days ago and nothing was in a plastic bag in the trunk.
