Hey, so I recently got the 2020 EX model, and whenever I turn my car on, I will immediately plug my iphone in via usb, and open spotify to play music. However, every time I start the car no matter if the phone is plugged in or not, the voice command prompt always pops up and I can't turn it off. Any idea if I am doing something wrong, or any way to turn it off?
You can turn off the voice prompt by going to System Settings then selecting the Voice Recognition Tab and then selecting "Off" on the "Voice Prompt"
@@MohawkHondaScotia It DID NOT work. I turned off that setting and plugged in my phone, and the prompt was still on my screen. However, I did find a possible fix..... I looked up to check this video again while in the car, went back to spotify, and seemed to fix the problem.... So, after I got home, turned off the car, turned it back on, and yet again the voice prompt was there as soon as I plugged my phone in.
2020 Honda CRV - All songs are mp3, purchased from Amazon, or downloaded from my CDs. Install all songs on Sandisk flash drive from iMac / iTunes. All songs play in the car but when you look into each folder, there are 2 copies of each song. One plays the other states Unplayable. When the flash drive is on iMac, there is only one copy of each song. The other issue is that when this flash drive is played in my wife's 2019 Accord, there is no problem with double copies. Could there be two different types of mfg of this flash drive reader in the cars? Flash drive is standard FAT/32 format. I've had this problem for years. First my 2007 CRV, then my 2013 CRV, now the new one. Honda just blew me off when I presented this issue. My dealer continues to work on the problem but does not have a solution? Can you solve this problem?
Hey Bill. Are you able to take the songs off the flash drive and put them back on again?
@@MohawkHondaScotia Thanks for your response, I can remove the flash drive and play it on my computer without any duplicate copies. I can remove all the songs and they play on my computer. Yesterday, I tried changing the flash drive format without any success. It appears the MS-DOS FAT.32 is the best format.
@@MohawkHondaScotia also tried 2 other formats on my iMac from disk utilities. Mac OS Extended (Journaled), EXFat and Mac OS Extended (Case Sensitive journaled) No luck none of them played or was even recognized by the Honda system. Went back to MS-DOS, FAT(32) - still have the duplicating problem.
