  • The 2020 Honda CR V is a compact SUV and Honda’s best selling vehicle.
    #2020HondaCRV #HondaCRV #2020CRV
    We tested the Touring AWD edition and it's powered by the standard 1.5L engine with 190hp and a CVR transmission. The AWD version is good for all climates. The 19” wheels come with all-season tires and offer a comfortable ride with good handling and brakes. Fuel economy is up to 28 city / 34 highway. The acceleration is good and offers great efficiency too.
    The advanced safety features are standard, which is a great approach to keeping people safe on the road. The cross-traffic alert, collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist system, and blind-spot detection are typically extra with other brands.
    The interior is roomy and has plenty of cargo and storage space. The storage areas are flexible and will meet most people's need. The biggest frustration is the main touch screen. The ability to change the channel and work with the touch screen can be finicky, but it offers everything you will need.
    There is a lot of value of the new CRV, prices start at $33,250, our test vehicle is priced at $36,845/ Don’t forget to look for incentives.

    Great Review Lauren... "Spot-On" and as you may recall we are a Honda Family although my departure to GM because of dealership employee loyalty! That passenger seat lumbar issue, well traditionally it would be a one person vehicle 95% of the time and not a genuine concern for us! Thanks for this "Candid and Learned" review and hope all is well, "Hello to P2" ';-)

    I just bought a 21 Honda CRV LX AWD in April. None of my seats have lumbar in the base model, but those seats are most comfortable I have ever owned, and fit my body well. The base model stereo is very dated, but I have found a replacement that will use the steering wheel controls and backup cam still, so maybe I’ll do that. I was disappointed it didn’t come with cargo cover and they wanted 200 for the factory part. I bought a used Honda cargo cover on eBay for 45.00. I did buy the all weather floor mats, and paid for a hitch to be installed. Also paid for a bike rack for the hitch as I didn’t want to continue using one that attaches to rear door and scratches up car. So I spent an additional 1000 dollars outside of car purchase all things said and done to get way I wanted. If I upgrade stereo that will be additional 400.00. There is no good place to put my phone to use as gps unless I use a suction cup window holder... otherwise I’d have to look down towards cup holders to see maps without gps in car stereo... so that 400 upgrade
    Might be a must... really disappointed with that. There really isn’t any discounts right now at any dealer with this chip shortage story, also for a CRVLX AWD at the time of purchase I could only find 3 total in my city.. which basically leaves it being a sellers market. I paid the price the dealer wanted, but got good financing. The price they asked was the kbb fair purchase price as well. I don’t have much regret there, as my Subaru’s engine died and well I keep my cars for a long time as I had the Subaru over 9 years.

    I have a 2018 CRV Touring and find the seats uncomfortable. After about 100kms you really notice how hard the front seats are. Other than that it’s been a very good vehicle.

    Great revue. Simple approach and straight forward answers questions i was looking for like leg room, trunk size (costco stuff), quality of material. As for the passenger seat, though would be great pampering but since the passenger wont be driving obviously i assume it could be positioned in much comfy way than the driver... The only draw back is the 1.5L engine. 2.0 or 2.5 like its rivals, would give it for sure a higher score and more sensational driving experience. I love honda. I owned an accord earlier and loved the overall experience. Currently driving rav4 2012 and would surely consider the crv for my next car buy

    Thank you for your great review. My husband has been asking you to review (via Facebook Messenger) on a CR-V for awhile. We are thinking about buying the Touring, or the Hybrid once we get back to Arizona. We both look forward to your Hybrid CV-V review as well.

      I just got delivery of the hybrid, but there are other posting first. Here are a few highlights to help you decide: Hybrid MPG: 40 city / 35 highway
      Gas MPG : 28 city / 34 highway. Price Range on Hybrid $27,750 - $35,950

    I love my 2020 CRV in general. I wish you could permanently disable the start stop feature if you choose to. A big deal was made here about lumbar support in the passenger seat. I would not except that for a vehicle in this price range. Seems like an unreasonable expectation unless you were reviewing an Acura

    Their oil dilution problem causing engine issues persist. If you live in cold climate stay away, or make sure you warm up engine five minutes before you start in cold weather. Problem applies to 1.5 turbo. Go with a RAV-4.

    the HONDA CRV offers LOTS OF FEATURES for the money. If i had A WISH LIST..i would ask for A DIFFERENT/QUICKER INFOTAINMENT..with a VOLUME KNOB and if they put a storage POCKET BEHIND THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT, they SHOULD PUT A STORAGE POCKET BEHIND THE DRIVER SEAT AS WELL. Also maybe a BIT MORE SOUND DEADENING.

      I’m sure you heard the road noise during my review. At the price point of this SUV, I too wish it was more insulated for sound. Honda is about reliability, longevity and safety. Thank you for your feedback.

    The gas in oil on very short drives has been fixed . Engine temp brought up slightly. What about the CVT TRANSMISSION, one commenter said they fail at 70 k ... your research opinion please?

    • @CarCoachReports
      @CarCoachReports  4 роки тому +1

      CVT have been around for decades. Honda makes a reliable transmission. If you are looking at a CPO or used car, have a certified technician look it over before making an offer.

      Car Coach Reports thanks Miss🙏. I bought a 2020 sport CRV. I did my research the best I could. I feel I bought a solid reliable AWD runabout. Some were concerned about the gas in oil, but resolved in turning up initial heat in software , some had CVT problems, but how wide spread it was or is ,or myth, I was not sure. Paid 32,700 new , and offered them 1250 cad for full 6 years bumper to bumper. Anything I should get/ watch over 6 year’s?

    My wife and I bought a 2021 CR-V EX back in February 21. We love it. I do agree the passenger seat does need lumbar support. Ours didn't have power passenger seat. Should be included if driver side is powered. Yes I would pay the extra. I agree the Infotainment badly needs an upgrade. I am not completely sold on the 1.5T yet. I still would have liked to have the 2.0T option for the CR-V. I understand all about controlling price. Is it that much more expensive for .5 liters?

    Great review. Lumber is a must have for the passenger. My son had the first generation CRV and loved it. He leased a 2019 CRV and it’s a great SUV. My only concern is the oil dilution problem. If it wasn’t for that, I would give up my 2000 Honda Accord for this car. Maybe one day Honda will go back to the 2.0-2.4 engine and a regular transmission that are fuel efficient and very reliable. It’s Honda and I know they could do it.

    Great review Lauren. Does each CR-V trim level have the same infotainment system? You reviewed the Touring, but I’m considering the base LX model.

    • @CarCoachReports
      @CarCoachReports  4 роки тому

      The LX does have a standard 4-speaker 160-watt sound system and a 5-inch color display. Bluetooth connectivity, Pandora Radio, a Radio Data System, and speed-sensitive volume compensation come standard as well. There is a 1.0-amp USB port on the center console and 12-volt power outlets on both the front and center consoles.

Oil dilution occurs commonly in small amounts in high compression direct injection engines, Honda’s was worse in some vehicles , wasn’t a problem in most vehicles
