Chair Yoga for Fall Prevention // Osteoporosis friendly! Improve your Balance & Posture

- Welcome to this chair yoga workout that focuses on balance, posture and exercises for fall prevention. The first half of the workout is performed in a seated position and the second half is in a standing position using a chair for support. All exercises focus on improving mobility and stability and are osteoporosis friendly (no movements that require rounding the back or twisting the spine).
Go at your own pace throughout the video and just do what you can. With time and practice your balance will improve. It’s so important to work our stabilizing muscles that support our bodies such as our hips and glutes. Having stronger muscles will not only help prevent a fall, but also recover better in the event of a fall.

Love doing this at least once a week. Feel energised and good way to start my day. Im in Melbourne Australia and just recently weather has been really dull and unattractive (grey skies, raining windy typical melbourne winter weather YUK!) Being able to do this puts a smile on face. Thanks Lauren, great workout after a week off with head cold🤧. I have used those alert machines for my Mom and Father in law in the past. Takes some of the worrying off the Caregiver. My Mom has dementia now so she needs 24 hour monitoring and probably wouldnt remember what the button was for. 😊 🥰🇨🇦Sharon.
