In truth high value is determined by the dating-market. If its not then its a useless term to use in relationship and dating discussions.

Most women that think like this end up alone. Being realistic is not settling. Settling requires a person to think they deserve something. You don't deserve anything you don't work for. Get a rich man before he's rich and stick with him as he makes himself rich. He's more likely to be faithful, because you were with him when he was broke. Here's 8 reasons why I THINK asking 'what someone brings to the table' is a pointless question.
1. Actions speak louder than words.
2.There are far more important questions to ask that will answer that question.
3. Makes you seem like an opportunist (if you care what people think), no one wants to mess around with an opportunist.
4. If you don't see yourself staying with the person for more than a year, What they bring to the table is not important. Just keep having fun and understand why you're in the "ship" to begin with and keep it pushin.
5. If after a year or two (maybe even less, if you're asking the right questions) you don't see what they bring to the table for yourself. Your asking the wrong question, need some guidance, your being used or YOUR UNGRATEFUL lol
6. Asking this question leaves you open to the possibility to be lied to or used, with the help of google, social media and your publicised (or not) past relationships
7. Gives the false idea that people don't change and that they are bound by what (they can offer you) they bring to the table.
8. People change, situations change. So the things that they used to bring to the table back then will change in 20, 30, 40 years but death do you part and they got your weaknesses, you got their weaknesses though.
Ask the right question.
Know if you're being serious with the person or not.
If you are, have someone experienced (whether educationally or not) guide you.
USE YOUR EYES some things are obvious.
Follow your gut.
See how they treat the people around them. examples: Friends, family, that random receptionist, that person who makes a mistake etc
Compare their actions to their words.
That question is a lazy way out, that won't really give you the outcome one would be looking for, for the reasons above.
