You can call it cooperation. It doesn't change the reality that most men want complete authority over the household and for all final decisions to remain with the man. As someone who has worked with the Military as a contractor, I was privileged to travel to several different countries. Many foreign women are cultured differently. Their family dynamics shape them into being a wife from an early age. Daughters serve their brothers and learn that from their mothers. When they meet men, they know how to cooperate and bring peace. Women don’t understand, you can gain more from your man and get spoiled simply by femininity and submission. Many of my coworkers found wives and their wives are spoiled and get whatever they want. They also have a voice and men make decisions, keeping in mind how she would feel and what’s best for them both!

When I played football in high school I knew more football than all of my teammates and half of my coaches. But I did what the coaches told me to do because they were the leaders. I didn’t argue with the coaches about every play, every practice skill, etc. because I knew my place and I knew how to follow. Women today need to play sports or join groups so they can understand how to follow.

There is no way I would take her away from her career as an Accountant and the education that she worked so hard to acquire. Also, there is nothing about the United States that would make me ever move back. we visit the United States, but we have no plans on ever living in the United States. The difference in "privilege" tilts toward brothers who relocate.. I have met multiple brothers who left the US and have lived in these countries for years. They have it way better. Actually they have it ten times better than those of us who vacation travel. And the cost of living is typically much much lower while the concept of wealth is not as sought after like in the US.

There are more traditional women than you know, but you have to go with a grain on everything. Been married for five years and counting. Just find your peace no matter where it is. My husband and I have cultural differences. My dad and I had to explain to my husband how I was raised. My husband viewed me as the typical Black American woman but I wasn’t raised solely in the states and both of my parents are from another country.
Teamwork makes the dream work. I don’t think she truly understands. My husband lucked up because I was already a Disabled Veteran when he met me. My husband pays all of the household bills but I go behind him and pay the principal of the mortgage. I do the maintenance and stuff like that. She just said it. The wives did side things like sewing and cooking and so forth for other people to make some money on the side. It’s so she can buy her feminine stuff, groceries and if something goes sideways she can step in to help her husband. It’s exactly what I do. I get the groceries and other things needed. He’s correct.
You can actually build with love because you’re both going to work harder to make things work.

This brother isn't lying. The first time I went to DR, me and my buddy stayed in a Villa. We had an elderly housekeeper who hand washed our clothes and cooked our meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) HE had a chick who brought a friend. The ladies stayed in the kitchen with the cook while we sat at the table and chopped it up. They brought the food to the table and poured our drinks. I looked over thinking that the ladies would join us and I was like, they not eating? He had been there 5 times prior. He was like naw, they don't eat with the man bro. They good. U da man over here. I'm like damn and took a couple more sips from the cup and before I knew it, the lady for me came out of nowhere and filled my glass back up. I'm like damn. He said yeah, you're a king over here. They make you feel like a King. I had to change my outlook and get rid of that american energy for the rest of my trip.

Another Air Force Veteran Fire Protection Spec here, and I wanted to travel early so I joined decades ago. Been to the Philippines, Korea, Spain, England, Japan, Germany, Irag, UAE, Middle East and so many more countries I have forgotten.
I literally had women running after me in the PI and as a Black Man, I dated a lilly-white, blond hair, sky-blue eyed smoking hot girl in Germany who drove me to the Fire House before my shift and dropped me off in front of 40 white Fire Fighters in her BMW and got out and gave me a big kiss before she left. Okay so Erin's pushback on Rico's statement about men not feeling like MEN until 30 is missing context. She said that our grandparents were starting families in their mid twenties which is true. BUT, she failed to realize a lot of those men didn't go to school past junior high. It was customary for a man to drop out after getting the basics and go to work. Most of them starting working, building homes and wealth at 14 to 15. So ten years later when they are in their twenties and either run a business or have a high position they were ready to start their families. Rico wasn't wrong it's just the goal post has moved because labor jobs that provide that much income aren't as prevalent anymore. So a lot of men are taking more time to get higher education before building their kingdoms.
Most men just slipped up had a kid and were forced to get married. They were dirt poor and grinding for decades with multiple kids. Let's use facts, look at the poverty level

Also, the specific generation we were talking about are still very much alive. They are in their late 70s and 80s. I get the point you’re trying to make, but ppl in the referenced age group finished high school and college, and also became spouses and parents early on in their 20s.

As to men in their 70s and 80s finishing school, I have to respectfully disagree. Using the men in my own life as an example most of them went no further than high school and/or were military. Back then you didn't have to wait till 18 to enlist. Also the G.I. bill wasn't a thing until late 80s so it wasn't like they joined to fund college. Again, this is not all, but it is majority from that time period. Feel free to ask the older the men in your family, what's the highest level of education they got before they went into the workforce.

BW believe they are above BM and under the system of white supremacy they are strategically placed above us. Given more opportunity and an easier pathway to success compared to BM. Take Morehouse and Spelman for example. Spelman classes are 4 and 5 credit hours while Morehouse is 3 credit hours per class yet the same number of total credit hours are needed to graduate. But ask a Spelman graduate if she worked just as hard as a Morehouse graduate, you know she will say "of course I did"!
