    I cannot stand for more than ten minutes or sit without pain in my back and right hip and knee. I am 62 - super active with many long-term little injuries. I will try these because I am desperate. I want to run and walk long distances again.

    Hi Doc, Great videos!!I’m a motorcycle test rider for a main stream motorcycle manufacturer, I’m off and on bikes all day long up to 40 motorcycles a day for 2 day’s a week always using my right leg to get on and off.The pain has affected my right hip both in the groin area and the glutes I’ve been diagnosed with mild arthritis in both hips,I’m 68 years old and reasonably fit, I ride a bicycle 5 day’s a week to keep fit what would be the best exercise for me to strengthen the glutes? Thank you

    Hi Doc! Really learning a lot by watching your videos. Question: I have bone on bone on my left knee. Because of the pain, I limp. My right hip hurts now. Could the way I limp be affecting my hip?

    Thank you for your content - I'm glad I found you! I have a question about my hip pain, my hip "clicks" when I move certain ways. Does this mean it's a "bone to bone" hip problem? Thanks!

    Thank you for this video. It just started 4 days ago hurting really where it hurts to walk. I can barely walk after waking. I'm thinking hip surgery. But not after watching this video. You talk about weaker muscles. Which ones would that be ? The hip above the other leg or muscles in same hip?

    Hi Dr. David
    I think my hip & knee pain are due to my lumbar spinal stenosis. My Xray shows I have a pinched nerve & 3 of my vertebrae fuse together. My spine comes down straight & bend to 1 side at the end. I have tingling discomfort from the knee down to my ankle on my right leg. My hips pain is at the back. I have great difficulty in getting my glutes to fire with your exercises. My right knee down to the ankle is most of the time tight. I am still trying to work on the glutes without tightening my quad. Your exercises are very helpful but I just wish I can get my glutes to work. My doctor has not told me I have lumbar spinal stenosis & want to treat me for rheumatoid condition as I am over 70. Am I right in saying I have lumbar stenosis? Thanks

    I have hip pain on the right side. I believe it’s due to lack of butt muscle. I’m going to start with the hip exercises you showed in another video and see if it goes away How can you tell if it’s coming from foot or other issue?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  2 роки тому +3

      Hey Wanda! Great question!
      Your best bet is to begin the glute strengthening and see how much you improve. It might take care of the knee/hip problem completely.
      If you've still got an issue, then you might need to work on the foot problem after that.
      You could work on both at the same time anyway just to be sure. Here's a playlist with foot & ankle info so you can know what to do for your feet.

    Hello doc. I have side pain since few months (not sure if it’s hip bursitis or not, seing a doctor next week so he will figure it out) but it keeps shifting from left side to right side from time to time. Why is that? Is that a complete different issue. any advice from you would be nice.

    Can sciatica be healed

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  Місяць тому

      Hi Comfort, It does have the possibility to heal but it does depend on commitment to recovery. We are so sorry you're dealing with sciatica!🥺 We know exactly how painful it can be and it can be relentless.
      We have a sciatica help playlist you might find helpful. It can help you get started on your road to recovery! You can access it here:
      "Sciatica Pain Exercises & Stretches"
      ua-cam.com/play/PLJVIPiFvv1maZPQPPtirn4oxj8oCPuIMR.html
      Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not.
      We offer Virtual Consultations if you would like to speak to one of our experts to discuss a recovery plan. Our Virtual Consultations are conducted similarly to a Zoom call, and we will send you a link that will automatically connect you with one of our doctors. This consultation will allow us to gain a better understanding of your condition, discuss your medical history, and provide personalized guidance tailored to your needs.
      Once you have purchased the Virtual Consultation, we recommend sending us an email with your questions, any records you would like to discuss, and a brief description of your medical history at least 24 hours before your appointment. This will help us prepare and ensure we can address all your concerns during the session. Please refrain from sending this information before purchasing for security purposes.
      After your Virtual Consultation, you will receive a recording of the session, and you will have 30 days from the date of the consultation to ask any follow-up questions regarding your session. You can email us your questions, and our doctors will get back to you at their earliest convenience.
      Once you purchase your consultation, our scheduling coordinator will contact you to find out the best time and date that works for your appointment.

      We hope you found this information helpful. We'd love to hear how you are doing as you progress.🙌 Please take care!

  • @rancheriaoakdale

    I have been watching video after video and none of them seem to address the location of my pain. The pain im having is deep inside my hip. I can't feel it from the outside. Its not in my butt it's not in my thigh it's not in my back what is causing this? The most frustrating thing is I teach yoga and when I do any hip flexor stretch on 1 side it feels great and normal. But the same stretch on the other side did not feel good so I have been taking it easy. Should I go to a chiropractor? Do I just need strengthing exercises?

      I bet it's hip sprain. I have the same thing right now deep in my right hip on the joint/ball and socket. I'm in my 20's, got it from being active like you. He has some videos on hip sprain, but info is few and far between. I would go see a PT if you haven't done so already. Alternatively, if you've improved, what helped you?? Thank you
