The best thing I've ever tasted was a freshly caught yellow tail, rested for a few hours, then seared like this, just with some pepper and soy sauce. Truly amazing fish.
As a BC Canuck sport Fly-Fisherman, life-long hobby chef, retired-love-to-cook-musician-hobbyist-you-name-it....eaten our Rainbow Trout every which you can thing of! Yet, one of my to-do techniques is as this with FRESHLY caught, right out of our cold-water lakes, prep my Trout fillets and glaze/sauce/oil, etc....and ENJOY.
after watching many of these, I just realized that it would be very hard to be his neighbor, as the smells would waft over to my condo and I would eat everything in sight, lol.
I love this channel.. I've seen things I never imagined and now I want to try it... one thing I don't see is turtle of any sort.... I spent 2 hours looking... plz to an exotic turtle dish...

I never thought about eating trout that way. How does it compare to cooked trout in terms of how strong the fishy taste is?
