Making tomorrow!
Please enjoy. Thank you so much for letting me know. Have fun cooking!😊
aww man, we had tuna today, I wished I had saw your video first! Next time I will try your method. I always overcook my tuna, it's good to see that all I need is 10-15 seconds! By the way, I am always impressed at watching chefs handle hot food with their bare hands, but watching you touching the tuna in a hot pan is a whole other level. You guys have iron fingers! (But maybe you want to put a warning for people not to try that, just in case they get burned? Just a thought.) Love everything you make! And hello to dear Haru!
Yes, I will put a warning next time. It was actually very hot!! I acted cool since I didn't want to reshoot the video.😅 Always happy to hear from you. Haru says Hi too.😊
Wow 👍😍it looks delicious “ interested to make “ i love tuna “ aburi maguro mitai

This looks absolutely delicious.
08:55 It's truly picture book worthy!
Also, I kind of found the sound of sizzling when searing in this video to be somewhat relaxing. It reminded me of the sound of rain. ^^
Thank you for the compliment. But, I still Thank you very much for the compliment. But, I still realize many things I never did during filming videos. So it's beneficial for me too.
By the way, the sound of rain calms me down too since the place I live doesn't rain.
Are a chinese actor ? i forgot the name.
using your hands while searing is next-level. legend.

Thank you so much. This was one of the most popular dishes in my restaurant. Enjoy.😋
I have a question re: mayonnaise. If I don't have kewpie what sort of mayo can I use instead? Thanks chef@@sushibykunihiro7534
You can use any real mayonnaise. I don't remember the brand name I used in the US.
You don't need a fancy one. The most basic kind works well.
Thanks for your advice. It's very kind of you!

Exceptional! 🍎🍎🍎🍑🍑🍑
I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I hope you'll try it home.😊
Love your videos! What knife are you using?
The knife that I use in most videos is Ikkaku Donryu Molybdenum Gyuto 210mm (8.2"). You can buy it from mtckitchen.com. This knife is good for filleting fish, slicing fish for sushi and sashimi, and cutting sushi rolls. It costs about $60 us dollars which is very reasonable for this quality knife, so the knife is really popular among sushi chefs. Plus, this knife company sharpens knives once after productions to give us clear guidelines for sharpening the knife. Please check the website. They will explain better. Thank you so much for watching.😊
Hello! I just made it and it is de li cious!!!!! And very easy. Thank you. Is possible to get a rice recipe? Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for letting me know you enjoyed the seared Tuna.
By the way, you mentioned rice dish. Do you know the name of the specific dish you want me to cover? If so, please let me know. 😊
Can you please give some advice for which sashimi knife and which chef knife to get? Thank you.
Thank you for sharing another wonderful video! 👍🏻 Do you think it works with Salmon??
Salmon is fattier than tuna. So I think my yellowtail carpaccio recipe works better for salmon.
Glad to hear from you always.😊
@@sushibykunihiro7534 Oh thank you! Will try both tuna tataki and salmon carpaccio!!😋
Beautiful. I am in Ireland, how do I ensure the fish I buy is safe to use as Sushi as we are not traditionally used to making sushi at home?
That's a good question. I don't know the selection of the fish sold at your local grocery stores. If you have Japanese grocery stores nearby, they must sell good sushi-grade fish. But I assume there isn't any in Ireland. In that case, buying sushi-grade fish online is the safest way. But I'm sure you can find excellent quality salmon in Ireland.
would you eat it by itself or for example with steamed rice?
Either way is good. It's up to you. But, I served it by itself as an appetizer in my restaurant.
Thank you for watching. 😊
Sorry if this has already been asked before, but would you consider Kewpie Mayo to already be a Japanese compatible mayo or a "normal" mayo that could benefit from soy and sake treatment?
Kewpie Mayonnaise is compatible with Japanese dishes, so you don't need to add Sake and Soy Sauce. But I still add those to Kewpie Mayo to make it taste even better. It's totally up to you. But adding those to non-Japanese mayonnaise is a must. It makes a big difference.😊
I enjoy learning from you how to cook oishi Japanese dishes! Taihen arigatou gozaimasu!
Your Japanese is good! I'm glad my videos helped. Thank you very much for watching.😊
Could you make video - how to make Kanimiso please🙏. Because I don’t see anyone who really good to do Kani miso in the UA-cam Thank you so much
Kanimiso, the crab head?
Can you use tuna filets from kroger ? This what I have in my freezer they are pink and frozen fist size
Yes, you can. Please make sure to wipe off excess moisture well after defrosting it.
Thank you for watching.😊
Is there a way to plate this without covering up the tuna?
Is there a specific sake brand you would recommend and flavor you prefer.?thank you. 😊
The sakes I use for cooking are usually Yaegaaki or Shouchikubaai. Those are the cheapest kind you can find at Asian grocery stores. Those are SAKE for drinking. So they are usually located in the alcohol section. Please don't confuse them with COOKING SAKE. COOKING SAKE contains some salt in it. I don't use them in my videos. Those are located in the condiments section. So please stay away. 😊
Thus looks great - trouble is, my Japanese Supermarket charges about. USD 60 for that size of fresh Tuna!😳
USD 60!? Wow it's so expensive! I purchased this tuna from Tokyo central in Los Angeles about 2 years ago. It was about USD 15.00. I hope you can find a cheaper place. 😢
@@sushibykunihiro7534 Me too! 😀 But I can say the supermarket has wonderfully fresh and very high quality food throughout - the Japanese items being flown in every day!
can i replace sake with any other kind of alcohol in the recipe?
I think white wine works in the same way. I never tried, though. Or you can add only soy sauce. For sure, the mayonnaise becomes tastier. But, in that case, add tiny bit of soy sauce. Otherwise your mayonnaise becomes very salty.
Thank you very much for watching. Have wonderful holidays.😊
Сразу видно, что не повар, а домашний кулинар
Was the tuna very hot to touch?? You must be heatproof!! haha
My hands used to be heatproof but not anymore. It was surprisingly hot tuna. 🥵
What is radish sprout? It looks like bean sprout.
We call it kaiware. Usually sold at Japanese grocery stores.
Ok I tried but mine wasn’t seared tuna, it was burned tuna.
Sorry. Better luck next time. But at least you tried... 👍
