Also if she really wants to cry.. .ugly cry.... these ar the days of our lives .... When as fans we saw the video we KNEW what he went through... then he looks in the camera at the end. For as song written by Roger about family... it HURT.
When a crowd of 65,000 sings your entire song 26 years after you died, 42 years after it was released - just because it's playing on the PA before someone else's concert: - search "Green Day Bohemian Rhapsody".
I witnessed that at Citi Field in Queens, NY 2 years ago and was blown away. I remember it more than any part of Green Day or Weezer performing that night
rock in rio "love of my life" 350,000 none english speaking people singing it word for word....freddie was known for his intimate moments with the crowd he loved his fans so much.
The band was touched when the non English speakers knew the words by heart. “I think it’s the moment when we first realised that they knew "Love of My Life". Not only knew it but would sing it. And not only would they sing it but would sing it with a passion that brought tears to our eyes.” - Brian May on the 1981 South American concerts.
Queen played in Brazil I believe and the crowd practically sang the whole song. When Brian did the guitar, the crowd chanted Brian's name while he played.
I will forever have a soft spot for this particular version of "Love Of My Life." It fills an emptiness in my heart while grieving simultaneously, but I cherish it like the memory of a lost love. Thank you Freddie for being the emotional voice to the reclusive heart.
I don't think I've ever commented before, Aileen. Maybe, though I think I've just watched and vicariously enjoyed your explorations. To me, of all of Queen's songs, this one has to be the most touching and the rawest of emotions. Like a quiet close friend has just allowed you into their feelings - opened a door for you to peek inside their personal walls. With you being a musician, I love your thoughts on how personal it is to be heard along with the singer. My old band was never big beyond our city limits but we had a strong following of loyal fans. It was wonderful to recognise faces and make sure we let them know we appreciated their presence. To sing a ballad and have the house join in is an amazing feeling. Sometimes, I'd sing a harmony line to their lead vocal. We'd always spend time with our audiences between sets, maybe a drink after the show. It was a bittersweet night when we played our final show together. So many hugs and tears, songs shared together at tables. Few things can make us bond as music does. It's why so many of us love to share in your journey into the music we grew up with. Music is life.
Every time I here Freddie it gives me chills, the man was a master, when it came to holding the entire crowd in yhe palm of his hand, if it remember correctly, someone asked him what instrument he plays, and he said, "Darling, I play the audience" and he really did, so happy I got to see him play three times, he was extraordinary every time. Thanks for the reminder.
The Show Must Go On is a must listen. Written by Brian May, as a tribute to Freddie, as Freddie was fighting his battle with AIDS. Freddie's health was deteriorating so badly by that point, Brian didn't know if he could sing it...but Freddie friggin nailed it, big time. Possibly my favorite Queen song.
Their performance of 'Is This the World We Created?' at Live Aid was similar, just Freddie's vocals and Brian's guitar. You should look it up; it happened a few hours after their 'main' Live Aid performance; just Freddie and Brian came back out to perform that song and it was beautiful.
Everything you said is very true about queen. They're by far one of the best bands ever. They have everything you can imagine tear jerkers like this to funny like bicycle... I want to ride my bicycle I want to ride my bike... Giggle when hear that song. Queen will forever be in people's hearts and life. Freddie may be gone, but his music lives forever and that's what a legend is made of!!! Keep up your great work and thank you for the raw emotion you showed
Getting emotional on a Tuesday morning?? I am so here for it especially with you and anyone else watching 🥹 You really do wear your heart on your sleeves with these reactions from how you get all teary eyed so easily ❤️ His voice with the acoustic, crowd singing with him, all of it 😭
Freddie could control an audience no matter how large or small or if there's a language barrier. I've watched dozens of their shows from all over the world, and the result is the same. He was especially fond of their fans in Japan, so much so that he wanted to write a song they could sing along to, with a chorus in Japanese. So he wrote "Teo Torriate (Let Us Cling Together)" it's on "A Day at the Races" album. There's a video from Osaka in 1979, with a massive crowd, singing along.
“Teo Torriate” was written by Brian May, not by Freddie. If you want a Freddie-written song that shows his love for Japan, you have to go to his collaboration album with Montserrat Caballé (the *Barcelona* album) and listen to “La Japonaise”
Hi aileen, You’re right from the sound of the guitar to Freddy’s splendid voice they were able to interact with the audience, in a unique way it’s fantastic, it’s really true when it’s said that music can transmit everything from our hearts our minds but also our soul ❤
In nearly every Poll of journalists and music fans, Queens live Aid performance goes down as one of history's greatest ever acts. A wily sound artist turned up the limiters to make the band louder than any other performers and it showed.
HEYYYYY Aileen!!! I can’t tell you, how much seeing this MADE MY DAY!🥰 RECOMMEND: If you want Freddie to absolutely TEAR YOUR HEART OUT… “Who Wants To Live Forever” The live performance: FRIDAY, JULY 11, 1986 at Wembley Stadium IMPORTANT FYI… There were two DIFFERENT 1986 Queen Wembley concerts: Friday, July 11 (This one is lesser-known) and Saturday, July 12 (Everyone knows this show cuz it was sold on-video) Some performances were better on Friday, some on Saturday. …Freddie’s performance of “Who Wants To Live Forever” on FRIDAY is… PASSIONATE and RAW and leaves you CRYING.
There is also a version of this song after his death, where Freddy Mercury is on a screen singing and a white haired Brian May is on stage alone playing guitar but it is like they are playing and almost interacting together.
ever since queen has toured with adam lambert, brian plays this song, except for the last part, where to the crowd’s joy, freddie sings the last part, it’s from this performance, the crew does an amazing job of making it seem as if brian and freddie are right next to eachother, and in some cases, brian reaches out and it looks like he’s touching freddie’s hand, which often makes him quite emotional. a bittersweet moment, sharing the stage with his best friend once again.
Beautiful reaction! What is it about Freddie that makes you feel peace when you hear him? It’s crazy! I love when he says, Alright and I like it in his songs, it brings me immense joy
You need to check out crowd sings “Bohemian Rhapsody” at Hyde Park 2017. It was a concert of Green Day and before they came on stage they played Bohemian Rhapsody over the speakers and the crowd sings every note from beginning to end. Absolutely amazing 🤩
Thanks dear for your emotional reactions to Freddie, to Queen ❤ I recommend you react Somebody to love, live in Montreal 81, Milton Keynes 82 and the official video, superbly! Don't miss Save me in Montreal too, magnificent... Big hug dear ❤
Freddie is the best to do it, and the best there will ever be. You (by which I mean anyone) can have your favourite, but objectively he's the Don. Hearing you say he was dead before you were born makes me feel old.
Queen (Songs you might not have listened to before) - These Are The Days Of Our Lives - Save Me - I’m Going Slightly Mad - You’re My Best Friend - Radio Ga Ga - One Vision - It’s A Kind Of Magic - Miracle - Who Wants To Live Forever - One Year Of Love - Play The Game - Princes Of The Universe - Hammer To Fall - Now I’m Here - Show Must Go On - Bicycle - Fat Bottomed Girls - Tie Your Mother Down - Get Down, Make Love - Killer Queen - Flash - Seven Seas Of Rhye - Keep Yourself Alive - Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy - I Want To Break Free - Don’t Stop Me Now
Queen were one of the band's of my generation so I saw them go from playing small theatres right up to full on stadium rock and when I say saw them I mean being in the audience. This track has a special place in my memory. I saw them at Wembley stadium during their last ever live tour and when they reached the point in the set where this song was it has started to rain - imagine tens of thousands of fans standing in the rain and singing along with Freddy
More Queen please! Here are some recommendations: Studio recordings: How can I go on One year of love Love me like there's no tomorrow Too much love will kill you A Winter's tale The great pretender Time waits for no one Let me in your heart again In my defence Live performances: You take my breathe away - Hyde park 1976 Father to son - Rainbow 1974 White Queen (as it began) - Hammersmith 1975 Hammer to fall - Wembley 1986 July 12 & Budapest 1986 Who wants to live forever - Wembley 1986 July 11 Play the game - Milton keynes 1982 Save me - Montreal 1981 Somebody to love - montreal 1981 & Milton Keynes 1982 It's a hard life - Rio 1985 January
Every time i watch Queen perform live, i always get a little sad, knowing Freddie is no longer with us, that we will never see him play the audience again, like only he could do. And this song in particular, a fan favorite for sure, but also a Brian and Freddie favorite because it was such an honest song that also applied to their fans.
I would really be interested if you did a reaction video of Queens performance "Save me" from the Montreal performance. One of my favorite Queen songs ever.
Loved your reaction, Aileen, as always!! Keep going on your journey through this Royal Band!! No hurry on this one, but before you are finished with Queen be sure you react to "White Queen" live at the Odeon Hammersmith. Around 1975 I believe - it's a wonderful performance of a beautiful Brian May composition!
RIP the greatest stage animal. Dark day when he died. They made so much great songs. Brian May also did this song after Freddy's dead. That's why i respect Brian. Great guitarplayer with a good voice. But nothing beats Freddy.
Your my fav reactor. Not afraid to show your emotions. Your so special smoung reactors. Freddie would always let his audience know how he genuinely loved every one of them. He was special as well.
I hope you keep this up. Such an amazing selection to choose from. My favourite is Innuendo. Some of Queens finest writing was done after Freddie’s diagnosis. The fear of losing him seemed to push them harder than ever before. Innuendo is a fine example of this. Freddie should have been resting and away from performing but that wasn’t him, he wanted to go out his way❤️
I recommend "You take my breath away" Live at Hyde park 1976, by Queen. Or "My melancholy blues" Live at Houston 1977. Other personal Queen favourites: The Prophets song, March of the black queen, In the lap of the gods .... revisited, My fairy king, She makes me, The millionaire waltz, In only seven days, Rock it ( prime jive), Cool cat, Keep passing the open windows, Princes of the universe, Was it all worth it, Don´t try so hard, A winter´s tale ....... and so on ....special mention to the "trilogy" Tenement funster/ Flick of the wrist/ Lily of the valley.
Great reaction, thanks! I highly recommend White Queen live at Hammersmith Odeon 1975 and Stone Cold Crazy live at The Rainbow 1974. I'm not sure if you know this but hearing a Queen song and seeing it performed live by them is a completely different experience so even if you have 'heard' a song before, you will likely find it extremely pleasurable to watch live as well as some unique videos. We are fortunate that Queen has many live performances on UA-cam and pretty much all of them are excellent. If you watch their live performances in the 70's and early 80's, up to 1986 before you watch their later videos (they did not perform live after 1986), you will see a very recognizable transition in the way the band looks and sounds, particularly in Freddie, that really tells a lot about them. It gives greater meaning and understanding to the videos they made after 1986, showing the struggles faced at that time, their bond, and Freddie's goodbye to the fans. It's a journey worth taking as Queen does not disappoint.
Yes, it’s special when the audience starts singing with or for the artist. Maybe take a look at Lara Fabian live in Paris with the song “je t’aime”. I guess you will like it (-;
This same song performed at the Rock In Rio festival 1985 with a crowd of over 250,000 Brazilians singing this back to Freddie in perfect English taking into account their native language is Portuguese was something really special.
There is another version of this (Rock Montreal 1981) which you might like to check out. Freddie was stressed that the audience weren't joining in as much as usual. He absolutely sang his heart out. What a beautiful song !
Aileen, loving these Queen reactions, as others have said you wear your heart on your sleeve and it's so touching, it's hard not to be moved by songs and performances like this, but still nice to see. I am certain there are many amazing Queen songs that you just haven't heard (not as big or well known in the US). If you haven't heard it yet I would suggest Innuendo, it's epic, complex, and I think will move you. Also other songs like The Miracle, Friends Will Be Friends, and Breakthru are well worth checking out (haven't seen these reacted to in many places and are songs I love. Obviously songs like Who Wants To Live Forever, The Show Must Go On, and Those Were The Days Of Our Lives are also better known, more reacted to songs also must see ones.
Its about time you listened and watched SAHB. " Sensational Alex Harvey Band" Especially a live show. I think there's a documentary too. Amazing voice, original music style, lyrics, presentation and theatre in one mad mix.
I saw Queen with Adam Lambert in Baltimore last fall. This song started out with Brian May playing guitar alone and singing the song and then he was joined in a duet by Freddie on the screen, with this actual performance, to finish the song. It was very touching!
STILL the best front man ever. Have you seen the 100 most streamed songs in Spotify 2024? Queen is the only 70's to 80's band right there with not only one song included. Queen literally flexing. They might not be the most popular back then but they are definitely the most legendary band EVER. I bet they will still be known even after 100 years.
Yer a Riot to watch. You become part of all songs you react to. Queen is amazing. Please do Oliver Anthony, Rich man N of Richmond (DC). One man, one guitar. Enjoy.
I'd love to see your reaction to Queen - These Are the Days of our Lives! It was the last music video Freddie recorded with Queen, an absolute emotional rollercoaster of a song
Hi Aileen greetings from England 🇬🇧 you really should check out The Queen song "These are The Days of our Lives" and this was released on Freddie Mercury's 45th Birthday and on this video it was the last time for fans to see Freddie's last video and Freddie is a National Treasure in The UK and he will never be forgotten by us Brits!!!
Love of My Life is a single by British rock band Queen, released on 29 June 1979 as the only single from the live album Live Killers. Originally released on the 1975 album A Night at the Opera, the song was a hit on the band’s tour, after which it was released as a single in the new acoustic live version. The live version was made during the concert held in Frankfurt am Main in Germany during the Live Killers Tour. The proposed live version, rearranged by Brian May, differs in replacing the harp with a 12-string acoustic guitar, with the melody lowered by a minor third so that Mercury could not use falsetto. Love of My Life will be one of the cornerstones of the group in concerts with wide audience participation (often music and voice stopped to leave room for the only singing of the audience).
Good choice one of the greatest of queen freddie wrote it ,I think you know that already it gives you goosebumps listen to freddie the one and only the best voice in rock world thanks❤
I'm a metalhead and grew up in the 80's. AC/DC is my fave band and love Bon Scott but only a few singers make me emotional. Freddie, Pavarotti, Whitney Houston. Another great reaction!
Wanna CRY some more???
…Brian May ALWAYS performs “Love Of My Life” as a tribute to his friend, Freddie, during the “modern day” Queen+Adam Lambert concerts.

Queen with Adam Lambert is an abomination.
a million Thx for the link!!!! NO ONE who loves Freddie can hear this without Tears in the Eyes
@@Rhinedragon 🫶 It a very special tribute, to be sure!🙏
He was a entertainer
Also if she really wants to cry.. .ugly cry.... these ar the days of our lives .... When as fans we saw the video we KNEW what he went through... then he looks in the camera at the end. For as song written by Roger about family... it HURT.
the guitarist Brian May does one hell of a job when he sang this for Freddie's mom in the audience. His voice is so beautiful
What he said!
That is my FAVORITE of all the videos I’ve seen of Brian’s tribute to Freddie!
That video completely broke me and other videos that I've seen where he has sang it too later, impossible to not tear up.
When a crowd of 65,000 sings your entire song 26 years after you died, 42 years after it was released - just because it's playing on the PA before someone else's concert: - search "Green Day Bohemian Rhapsody".
YESSSSSSSS
That was epic considering it was a young punk rock crowd. ❤❤❤
I'm crying now, thanks lmao
I witnessed that at Citi Field in Queens, NY 2 years ago and was blown away. I remember it more than any part of Green Day or Weezer performing that night
Definitely a must watch!
rock in rio "love of my life" 350,000 none english speaking people singing it word for word....freddie was known for his intimate moments with the crowd he loved his fans so much.

Once you open the door to Queen and Freddie there’s no going back . 💕 Welcome to our Queen family
Queen played in Brazil I believe and the crowd practically sang the whole song. When Brian did the guitar, the crowd chanted Brian's name while he played.
Wait til you hear Who Wants to Live Forever, and if you haven't heard it already The Show Must Go On.
'These Are the Days of Our Lives' is the one that kills me
And I want all three played at my funeral or my wake... Along with about fifteen other songs of my choosing.
Thats how much he loved mary to write a song about his deep love for her
Freddie not only had the gift of his amazing voice, he had the gift of gathering tens of thousands of people in palm of his hands. LEGENDARY!
I will forever have a soft spot for this particular version of "Love Of My Life." It fills an emptiness in my heart while grieving simultaneously, but I cherish it like the memory of a lost love. Thank you Freddie for being the emotional voice to the reclusive heart.
I want a girl to look at me like Aileen looks at Queen. Nothing but love and admiration!!!!
I don't think I've ever commented before, Aileen. Maybe, though I think I've just watched and vicariously enjoyed your explorations.

My favourite live performance by Queen is, "Somebody To Love" live in Montreal 1981, Aileen, I promise you won't be disappointed.
I think this was the most important song Freddie ever wrote.

You've got Such a Beautiful Heart Beautiful Woman ❤... Freddie Mercury Was the Ultimate Showman!!! R.I.P. Freddie the Great

such a good point! everybody feels like they knew freddie. when he died I was 8 but it hit so close home! cannot explain.
Simply a beautiful song. No other way of describing it will or can do it justice, even my descriptor of beautiful falls woefully short.
HEYYYYY Aileen!!!
I can’t tell you, how much seeing this MADE MY DAY!🥰
RECOMMEND:
If you want Freddie to absolutely TEAR YOUR HEART OUT…
“Who Wants To Live Forever”
The live performance:
FRIDAY, JULY 11, 1986 at Wembley Stadium
IMPORTANT FYI…
There were two DIFFERENT 1986 Queen Wembley concerts:
Friday, July 11 (This one is lesser-known) and
Saturday, July 12 (Everyone knows this show cuz it was sold on-video)
Some performances were better on Friday, some on Saturday.
…Freddie’s performance of “Who Wants To Live Forever” on FRIDAY is…
PASSIONATE and RAW and leaves you CRYING.
There is also a version of this song after his death, where Freddy Mercury is on a screen singing and a white haired Brian May is on stage alone playing guitar but it is like they are playing and almost interacting together.
Yes, they actually played it with Freddie's vocals via a hologram - on the Queen + Adam Lambert tour

You would definitely love 'You Take My Breath Away' live at Hyde Park. It's very young Freddie with a heartfelt song😢.
No matter how many times I hear this song, especially the acoustic live performances, it always brings tears to my eyes.
Such a great point. There is something about a strange connection to Freddie and that "we knew him" the way he touched people.
More Queen please! Here are some recommendations:

Queen was my first concert as a kid. They were AMAZING!!! Freddie was the best!
There will never be a better frontman to appear on a stage anywhere, he is in total command and is the best ever
I was at this concert. We got to the very front and couldn't move for the next 8 hours. Fanatstic experience.
I would really be interested if you did a reaction video of Queens performance "Save me" from the Montreal performance. One of my favorite Queen songs ever.

Brian sang this beautifully at Freddies tribute concert in 1992, whew, gets me every time...
He was such an amazing artist, he gave so much of himself to us.
Aileen a definite must is Queen/Freddie Mercury ..... "You Take My Breath Away" ( Hyde Park ) .
You need to listen to Who wants to live forever live in Budapest. Its one of Freddy's many wow performances
Queen, "All Dead, All Dead" & "Melancholy Blues". ✌️❤️🌹
Somebody to love live Montreal 1981 ... Please watch it's a must...
They broke the mould with Freddie , the best frontman of all time imo . Absolutely superb and sorely missed . RIP Freddie
Amazing song and performance.
Another suggestion for you Aileen by Queen is called "who wants to live forever"also Freddie Mercury has the most unique voice ever
Freddie was a flame that burned twice as bright
Beautiful song. I believe Freddie wrote this for Mary Austin. "Now I'm Here" is another great song they did which was brilliant Live.
Yes, it’s special when the audience starts singing with or for the artist. Maybe take a look at Lara Fabian live in Paris with the song “je t’aime”. I guess you will like it (-;
Love of my life .. rock in Rio live is one to watch it’s amazing ❤
This same song performed at the Rock In Rio festival 1985 with a crowd of over 250,000 Brazilians singing this back to Freddie in perfect English taking into account their native language is Portuguese was something really special.
It was sensational, I was there, the 2 nights of Queen! ❤
Definitely need to watch the brazil version it is amazing
Freddie's voice is acoustically angelic.
Such a beautiful song. Maybe try "Who wants to live forever " next
slightly different but if you want to see an incredible crowd and live performance check out ACDCs thunderstruck Live At River Plate
There is another version of this (Rock Montreal 1981) which you might like to check out. Freddie was stressed that the audience weren't joining in as much as usual. He absolutely sang his heart out. What a beautiful song !
Green day crowd sings Bohemian Rhapsody that's really something ? they are also Queen fans 😀
You can never go wrong with Freddie.
Freddy was a Musical Genius and now he's a Music Legend!
I miss Freddie too Aileen.. If you haven't already covered it, give "Save Me" a listen, it's another great song for souls like ours.
One of my all time favorite songs...by anyone...Beautiful! Who hasn't felt this pain? Thank You!
I am so glad that I stumbled onto your page, coz I am feeling drawn to you, almost like a magnet
Enjoy.
Show Must Go On - Queen
Wasn't it gorgeous like you how the audience sang along that whole section in perfect pitch and in harmony
When you ask which song of Queen to listen next I'll say anyone and everyone😅
I'd love to see your reaction to Queen - These Are the Days of our Lives! It was the last music video Freddie recorded with Queen, an absolute emotional rollercoaster of a song
Hi Aileen greetings from England 🇬🇧 you really should check out The Queen song "These are The Days of our Lives" and this was released on Freddie Mercury's 45th Birthday and on this video it was the last time for fans to see Freddie's last video and Freddie is a National Treasure in The UK and he will never be forgotten by us Brits!!!
You will enjoy, Who Wants to Live Forever, live in Budapest. Freddie is Magic
Freddie Mercury is one of my favorite singer in the planet. I have a poster behind my bed of Freddie Mercury. I’ve been to Queens concert two times.
I'm not sure if you have done this one, but Somebody to Love (live in Montreal) shows the band at their very best. A must see!
I'm a metalhead and grew up in the 80's. AC/DC is my fave band and love Bon Scott but only a few singers make me emotional. Freddie, Pavarotti, Whitney Houston. Another great reaction!
Good morning Aileen hope you are doing well. Great reaction to queen RIP Freddie
Great song, which I love. This was also at the live aid concert. They closed the show with this.
