Listen to I'm in love with my car live in Montreal my home town lol.The drummer Roger sings it and plays the drums amazing in it.His voice alone could be lead singer in any band and he does all back up vocals while Freddie leads and his voice is fantastic
Brian May, the guitar player, is an astrophysicist. Freddie is legend and epic on his own, but the rest of the band were absolutely amazing at using their instruments to showcase his talent. There's a reason that no musician up to today tries to redo or f around with a Queen song. This is the magic stuff that nobody else can ever come close to no matter how much technology they have at their fingertips.
It is so hard for me to get through QUEEN reactions, because they usually bring me to tears, but I can't help myself, so here I am crying, wishing we didn't have to loose Freddie soon.........IMO, he was the Best Front Man in a rock band, that ever lived, & he may not have been here long, but I am so glad we had him for the time we did!!! ♥♥♥
My sis & I were discussing Freddie recently saying if he had only made it a couple more years he might still be here! People live a normal life span with HIV now. I’m so grateful for the music he left us. ❤️
So simple and so spectacular! I think there were around 80,000 people in the crowd singing to him. You could tell how much they loved him. Freddie still joins guitarist Brian May on tour to this day through the magic of giant video screens. Brian starts the song and on video Freddie joins him and they actually seem to reach out for each other. Always leaves Brian in tears as well as the audience who are cheering! Thanks, and it was a great request!
Yep, just saw them @ Madison Square Garden 2 nights in a row. The 1st night was the day after Brian's driver & good friend of 30yrs had passed away. Love of My Life was extra emotional that night. The whole arena definitely cried w/Brian, you could feel his sadness coming off of the stage. Before he started playing he choked me up by saying...."This is Freddie's song, Freddie should be singing it...but you got me". 😢😢❤
man this song will ALWAYS get to me. Brian may’s 12 string with freddie’s vocals are definitely the dynamic duo. Please keep reacting to Queen, i’m a huge fan!
I had the privilege of being one of the 80K+ crowd that day. I'm now 55 and it's still, by far, the greatest concert I've ever been at... and there's been a few. Still raises the hairs on my neck to this day
I'm 50, I didn't go to concerts when I was younger. Missing Queen, live, will be one of my life regrets. I can't even imagine what it was like to see them.
I've only seen one other person come close, mind you I said close. Her name is Floor Jansen, lead singer for Nightwish. When asked 'if you could perform with anyone, dead or alive', her response was Freddie.
Such a devastating tragic loss . Why did he have to pass ?? ..There is almost something prophetic in his life and how young he died .Like he was needed somewhere else to give another world the joy and elation he so selflessly gave to us .I really hope so ....❤
Simple and beautiful. Freddie wrote this song and the studio version is very classically complex with layers of harmonies and lots of instruments including Brian playing a harp and John on an upright bass, using a bow. Freddie wanted to do it live so the audience could be included so he asked Brian to write an arrangement that would work in that way. So this is it, just Brian on a 12 string and Freddie singing to and with the crowd and the crowd singing back to Freddie. The world loves this song and no matter the Country that Queen performs in, the people know all the words and always sing along.

I believe that every member of Queen wrote songs for the movie Highlander - Brian wrote "Who Wants to Live Forever" which, imo, is a masterpiece.
I saw Queen with Adam Lambert just before Covid hit. For this song, Brian came on stage by himself and played and sang the song and he did it beautifully. When he got to the end of the song, Freddie was superimposed on the screen next to Brian and they touched hands. It was so emotional and you could see how much Brian missed his good friend
Watch the Rio '85 version. Freddie doesn't sing a note until the 2nd verse. The crowd (who speak Portuguese) sings the entire 1st verse. It's amazing. Also listen to the studio version. Brian plays HARP on it.
Anything Freddie sings really. Hmm.., Hammer To Fall, Killer Queen, One Vision, Keep Yourself Alive, merely suggestions. Oh, I hope yo7 get a chance to check out videos/dvds, such as I Want To Break Free. Freddie pushing that vacuum cleaner around and that wink of his.
A WINTERS TALE, the last song Freddie ever wrote……the last winter he spent at his Switzerland home….deteriorating and loosing his eyesight he looked out the window at the frozen beauty of the lake……then he left and went back to London to die …..he stopped all his medication ….his sister has the lyrics in his handwriting framed …. WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER…..Live from Wembley 1987. THE SHOW MUST GO ON…..he died a few weeks after he made it to the studio to record…..he and Brian …Sir, Dr. Brian May….lead guitar. Yes Live Aid. Led Zeppelin was suppose to be the headliner. They hadn't played together for 10 years. Who knew Queen was going to steal the show. Freddie even had a cold coming on. By the way, the movie lied. He didn't even no he had Aids at this time. Movie lied a lot about Queen.
How is it that nearly 40 years later this song can still bring me to tears? The beauty and the wonder of this band is that not only did all four of them contribute equally, but they were also able to switch out and recombine different members to create entirely different moods and styles. If you haven't yet listened to or reacted to 39, I suggest you do. And do both the studio and live versions. It's such a joy.
The way he commands the stage and the audience is always ready to participate and answer on command. It’s amazing to witness Freddie doing what he loved. Love of my life is literally one of my favorite songs. I’m glad you were able to hear and enjoy.
Queen is a British rock band that was formed in 1970 and was comprised of: Freddie Mercury - Lead vocals and piano Roger Taylor - Drummer and vocals Brian May - Lead guitar and vocals John Deacon - Bass guitar Queen has released 15 studio albums, 10 live albums, 16 compilation albums, two soundtrack albums, 2 extended plays, 73 singles, and seven promotional singles. Freddie's speaking voice fell in the baritone range but he delivered most songs in the tenor range. His known vocal range extended from bass low F (F2) to soprano high F (F6). He could also get up to tenor high F (F5). Freddie could escalate within a few bars from a deep, throaty rock growl to a tender, vibrant tenor, then on to a high-pitched, perfect coloratura, pure and crystalline in the upper reaches.
I was there that night. I was 17 and our first concert. Bunked the train to London bought 2 tickets off the touts with my girlfriend. Was one of the best days I ever had. Inxs was one of the warm up acts
Every time Freddie walked on stage he held a microphone in one hand and the entire audience in the other! No other artist will ever be like him. Queen did some soundtracks for movies. Their 'It's a Kind of Magic' album was basically the Highlander (1986) soundtrack and they did the Flash Gordon movie from 1980. On the magic album try 'Who Wants to Live Forever', 'One Vision' and my favourite 'Gimme the Prize' (Kurgan's Theme).
I would suggest that you react to “White Queen” at Hammersmith, A Night at the Odeon in 1975. It was Christmas Eve, and he starts the video with a champagne glass in his hand from a toast he had just made, and it goes from there. It’s one of the best live performances I’ve seen by Queen.
With Freddie being born on The East Coast of Africa i've always believed this is where he gets his lungs from an elephant to belt out his high quality singing ability & his love of opera . 🎵🎵🎶🎶😂😂😂😂😂😂
This one makes me cry. But then again, Freddie was the only “celebrity” whose death made me cry. When I was growing up, music was so much more communal. If someone got a new album, we would all sit around and listen to it together, over and over. My friend’s older brother was a huge Queen fan, which is how I got my introduction. We would sit in his room on the floor and listen to Queen. So many good memories. Thanks, Polo, for the memories. 😌
The guitarist is Brian May, composer of many of Queen’s best and most popular songs. He’s an extremely highly widely appreciated astrophysicist (worldwide). He’s been head of one the UK’s universities and is still touring with what remains of Queen.
Two totally opposite Queen songs. "White Queen live in Hammersmith Odeon" And then the making of "One Vision" (it's not long but it is behind the scenes of the band working together) and then of course the official One Vision song. If you really want to blow your mind check out "Freddie Mercury & Montserrat Caballé - Barcelona (Original David Mallet Video 1987 Remastered)" It was meant to be done for the Barcelona Olympics but Freddie was gone by then. Montserrat still did it and they put in Freddie's voice along with her. They became great friends and Freddie loved Opera.
Oh my goodness... that's absolutely AWESOME!!! I just saw a "reactor" that said completely horrible things about both Queen & Journey. They were complaining about Adam singing & Arnel Pineda singing in place of Freddie and Steve. The point is that if Adam & Arnel didn't jump in and perform, the younger generations wouldn't get to see the performances at all!! Adam has made it crystal clear that he's NOT trying to "be Freddie.". He's just giving it his all to allow the music to still be performed live!! And as for Journey, I saw them when Steve was singing. HOWEVER, when he left, Neal was blown away when he saw the audition from Arnel Pineda, in the Philippines. Arnel gives every ounce of himself when he performs!! Adam does as well!! It's just sad to hear people complain about them...they should be THANKING THEM!!! I hope you have a great time seeing Adam!! His voice isn't the voice of Freddie, but it's EXTRAORDINARY!!! I love him as a solo artist as well!!
You might want to give a listen to Who Wants to Live Forever from the same concert. Tie Your Mother Down from this show and Now I'm Here from this concert. The whole concert is absolute fire! Thanks for your reactions.
Freddie Mercury had a phenominal singing range and he was a true showman who could manipulate the audience at every performance. I would love to see your reaction to more of Freddie's music.
Love it when Freddie hits one of his lush notes and you look at the camera bc that’s when I’m giving you that same look back 😂 Queen is the GOAT 👑💫✨💥 Love your reactions Plz more QUEEN ♥️
Every time I hear Freddie Mercury and Queen I get goosebumps. However, although Adam Lambert will never replace Freddie, he is still excellent and worth going to see performing with Queen.
Even before watching your reaction, i already know you'll love this intimate song. (i've only listened to it a million times hehehe) We all know and love Queen for the big rock anthems they gave us, and each of those songs are truly great, but for me... Queen shines brightest when they perform their smaller more intimate songs, like this beautiful and loving classic. Queen has countless of songs you need to hear, and two songs i highly recommend are "Who wants to live forever", and "Spread your wings", both are lesser reacted to songs, while i personally rank those as some of the top tier songs they created for us. (and i know i am not the only Queen fan who thinks so hehehe)
This always brings tears to my eyes, especially when I think of the last shot in "These are the Days of My Life" when Freddie quietly says "I still love you." His very last words to his fans. 💔💔💔
I was at a Queen concert about 6 years ago. Brian does this song with the laser image of Freddie duet. OMG - the crowd was singing and crying - full on! 😢 😭 Magic
Greatness, thank you Polo excellent reaction as always. Another love song is Save Me live at Montreal, beautiful. Bring on more Queen, best band ever, miss Freddie so much there will never be another Freddie Mercury
Thanks So Very Much for This!! Queen are Wonderful!!! Brain May is a Amazingly Gifted Artist. Rodger Taylor Drummer and John Deacon Bass!! History was made when These Talented Men Came Together!!!!😢😢😢
Strangely, a lot of people are very surprised thst this is my favourite Queen song, and it has been so for many many years. There's no messing around with it - it's a clear message with a beautiful melody and Brian's guitar playing is on point as always.
Love your show, thanks for jamming, Queen. My suggestion to jamma would be another one. Bites the dust or we are the champions they rock. Thanks for showing out you rock.
Freddie Mercury - Lead singer Dr Sir Brian May, lead guitar and vocals Roger Taylor, Drums and Singer John Deaken - Base guitar and occassional vocals. All band members wrote multiple No 1 Hits.
Hi Polo! Its so wonderful to hear you reacting to one of my favorite songs by the amazing QUEEN. Whenever I hear this song - especially when I see it performed LIVE - I think, "Now tell me, what can be better than this?" Just Sir Brian May, Phd on his 12-string acoustic guitar, Freddie giving this song exactly WHAT it needs at exactly WHEN the song needs it, and an audience of 70,000+ singing all the words while sounding like a celestial choir. MAGNIFICENT! This song was written by Brian and Freddie. The studio/album version is multi-layered instrumentally and vocally and is truly beautiful. But I prefer the live version...it's just so pure and perfect...it always gives me goosebumps. Polo, I gave you some recommendations of QUEEN songs from earlier in their career in your last reaction to "Somebody to Love". But, seeing how genuinely moved you were in your reaction to this song, I'm also suggesting a song from their later years together - "Who Wants to Live Forever" LIVE at Budapest, 1986. Queen was on a multi-month stadium tour throughout Europe promoting their fantastic album, "A Kind of Magic" when they unveiled this song. Listen and enjoy each note of this incredible masterpiece written by Sir Brian and performed with the entire band - Brian May (keyboard and guitar), Roger Taylor (drums) and John Deacon (bass) who literally make this piece soar while accompanying the one and only Freddie Mercury. Peace.
This band was so important to me when I was 12. Before Bohemian Rhapsody. I adored them. I have incredible musical taste. LOL! Saw them with Freddie three times....starting before the moustache....News of The World era. Brian and Freddie would come to the front of the stage and do a collection of acoustic numbers. Just those two.....absolute magic.
This song has such a rich history & always remained in the set list. Very different from the album cut. Freddie once said, this song has become a duet, bc that’s the way we like it. So many great performances of this one. Their performance from Montreal is superb both vocally & the guitar. Not much crowd involvement which is great for a playlist 😊
From their rock opera, Bohemian Rhapsody, to this simple beauty and everything between...each an undeniable masterpiece. No one on earth commanded such reverance from a crowd than Freddy Mercury. There are thousands of actual virtuosos that people enjoyed, respected and were awed by. Freddy was loved....just loved...absolutely adored. He drew people into him. I am 65 and never saw anything like it before or since.
Just Freddie with a guiter, or piano and even all the music is all you need, no dramatics, no thousands of dancers, no fireworks...no auto tune or playback.. i could listen to Freddie on a piano all night.
Watch the version where Brian May plays guitar and starts the song….and then…Freddie joins him as a hologram singing beside him. At the end, Freddie turns to walk away and disappears; one of the most emotive things I’ve ever seen. 😢❤
Look up ‘Crowd sings Bohemian Rhapsody’ That took place at a Green Day concert in Hyde Park, London five years ago while the crowd was waiting for the band to come on stage with music playing over the PA; Bohemian Rhapsody came on and the 65,000 crowd burst into spontaneous song…such is the power of Freddie Mercury, and I was privileged enough to witness it.
Queen songs that are a must: Doing All Right / Great King Rat / My Fairy King / White Queen / Nevermore / The March Of The Black Queen / Flick Of The Wrist & Lily Of The Valley (co-joined songs) / Stone Cold Crazy / The The Lap Of The Gods (revisited) / Death On Two Legs / Tie Your Mother Down / You Take My Breath Away / The Millionaire Waltz / Teo Torriate / and my favourite Queen song of all - White Man.
I saw every live Queen show in Chicago between 1976 and the last tour Freddy did...1982?? My takeaway is: it's such a good thing that FM wasn't an evil mastermind, because that man could control a crowd, and we did anything he told us to.
Thanks for the wonderful reaction to Love of My Life don't know if your done White Queen, Queen (one of Freddie's best, i think!)Made in Heaven, Backchat, the list goes on and hope you will also, thank you so much❤❤Freddie Forever❤❤❤❤❤
If you can get a UK crowd behind you they are behind you 100% and Will follow you any were to hear your music especially when its as good as Queen. This band was and still is untouchable RIP Freddie you were the Champion.
Brian May said that during one of their early concerts the audience started to sing along and the band enjoyed it so much they actually thought about audience participation when they wrote songs. He also said that the movie wasn't right in a lot of respects. Queen has always been at the top of my list of performers. Freddie is outstanding.
That was beautiful. If you haven't already, do listen to some earlier Queen songs: White Queen - Live at Hammersmith Odeon, 1975, and You Take My Breath Away - Live at Hyde Park, 1976 Both extremely beautiful songs that show off Freddie's vocal and piano skills to the max. - don't miss the incredible guitar/piano duet in White Queen between Freddie and Brian (Brian May is the astrophysicist rock star lead guitarist of Queen, who plays acoustic 12-string in the video you just watched.)

Watch Queen perform this in front of 500,000 people in Brazil. incredible.
Tears in my eyes everytime I hear this. ❤❤ I'm going to see Queen w/ Adam Lambert next week in Philly and I'm so excited 🥰
A singing voice that is beyond comparison.
You should try the Rock in Rio 1985 version of this song. Over 250,000 Brazilians singing in English to the whole of the song. Awesome
You might want to give a listen to Who Wants to Live Forever from the same concert. Tie Your Mother Down from this show and Now I'm Here from this concert. The whole concert is absolute fire! Thanks for your reactions.
Freddie was a beautiful gift to this world. We didn’t deserve him but even to this day we still cherish him and the band.
I was in that crazy crowd, it was a fantastic night, best gig I ever went to. Try "Under Pressure".
Thank you a beautiful song Freddy singing from his heart as always. Brian May playing guitar so beautifully.❤ x
Freddie Mercury had a phenominal singing range and he was a true showman who could manipulate the audience at every performance. I would love to see your reaction to more of Freddie's music.
Freddie is always pitch perfect
Love it when Freddie hits one of his lush notes and you look at the camera bc that’s when I’m giving you that same look back 😂 Queen is the GOAT 👑💫✨💥 Love your reactions Plz more QUEEN ♥️
I was lucky enough to see Queen twice, and it was amazing both times. He could command a crowd like they were hypnotized.
Freddie gets into your soul. Freddie is a gift from God
R.I.P. FREDDIE WE MISS YOU!!
Your singing to us from heaven and we here you!
Freddie Mercury…..I miss him! 😢
This song gets right to my heart
You relate to "don't take it away from me "because your thinking about something in your life whilst listening to the song..that's queen for you.
There is no one, then or now, that can hold a candle to Freddie Mercury anywhere across the world!
I love early Queen, Liar live at The Rainbow 74 ís really great. This concert is one of my favourite, Queen was perfection from the beginning
Shine Bright FREDDIE !!! Thank You xxx Peace x
sublime....the phrasing immaculate...
Every time I hear Freddie Mercury and Queen I get goosebumps. However, although Adam Lambert will never replace Freddie, he is still excellent and worth going to see performing with Queen.
Miss Freddie and Queen so much. Thank you Polo for this. ❤️❤️❤️
Simply the best. Queen will never die. So simple a voice and quitar. Amazing.
Polo, you have to check out Queen from the Highlander Soundtrack. "Who Want's to Live Forever" and "Princes of the Universe".
This song slays me every time. His pain takes my own breath away.
You should watch this song performed at "Rock N Rio", the audience sings the first two verses to him.
This ALWAYS gives me goosebumps. It’s mesmerizing. He is literally the one and only.
Even before watching your reaction, i already know you'll love this intimate song. (i've only listened to it a million times hehehe)
We all know and love Queen for the big rock anthems they gave us, and each of those songs are truly great, but for me...
We had the album when I grew up in the 70s. I still listen to 70s music and believe it was the best time for music.
Freddie eternal ❤
I believe this was his last concert! And it was the most intimate and beautiful moment! His band was in awe
Actually, his last concert was at Knebworth, about a month after this. His last filmed/recorded concert was about 2 weeks after this, in Budapest.
I miss the twirling sticks.
"Don't take it away from me." Freddie mercury 😃
This always brings tears to my eyes, especially when I think of the last shot in "These are the Days of My Life" when Freddie quietly says "I still love you." His very last words to his fans. 💔💔💔
I was at a Queen concert about 6 years ago. Brian does this song with the laser image of Freddie duet.
OMG - the crowd was singing and crying - full on! 😢 😭
Magic
My mum's favorite song ♥ mama i love you
Greatness, thank you Polo excellent reaction as always.
Damn! I'm here quick. Our husbands all dedicated this to us!❤
Queen always make me cry xx
Love your show, thanks for jamming, Queen. My suggestion to jamma would be another one. Bites the dust or we are the champions they rock. Thanks for showing out you rock.
Freddie Mercury - Lead singer
Dr Sir Brian May, lead guitar and vocals
Roger Taylor, Drums and Singer
John Deaken - Base guitar and occassional vocals.
Peace.
That’s a great review man. “Bicycle Race” is a brilliant (early) Queen song, you might enjoy.
Thanks 🙏🏻
This band was so important to me when I was 12. Before Bohemian Rhapsody. I adored them. I have incredible musical taste. LOL! Saw them with Freddie three times....starting before the moustache....News of The World era. Brian and Freddie would come to the front of the stage and do a collection of acoustic numbers. Just those two.....absolute magic.
I still think the stuff before "News of the World" was their best. On the first and second albums they were so raw and talented.
@@strydershadow391 Agree. The first 3 albums are my favs.
Over 35 years and still goosebumps everytime!
I love that verse also!✌️
from the moment freddie opened his mouth and started to sing he had the Crowd in the palm of his hand untill they finished the concert...
Look up ‘Crowd sings Bohemian Rhapsody’
That took place at a Green Day concert in Hyde Park, London five years ago while the crowd was waiting for the band to come on stage with music playing over the PA; Bohemian Rhapsody came on and the 65,000 crowd burst into spontaneous song…such is the power of Freddie Mercury, and I was privileged enough to witness it.
Such a beautiful song. Queen is one of the greatest rock band ever to have existens!
If you think this crowd was wonderful, singing along, you really need to watch the Rock in Rio '85 performance of this song. Mind blowing!
Yeah because most of them did not speak a word of English. BUT they knew the song perfectly
We (the fans) really do love him that much. I miss him.
If you haven't already, do listen to some earlier Queen songs:
White Queen - Live at Hammersmith Odeon, 1975, and
You Take My Breath Away - Live at Hyde Park, 1976
Both extremely beautiful songs that show off Freddie's vocal and piano skills to the max. - don't miss the incredible guitar/piano duet in White Queen between Freddie and Brian (Brian May is the astrophysicist rock star lead guitarist of Queen, who plays acoustic 12-string in the video you just watched.)
