I am a 53 year old man, and I cannot listen to this song without crying like an idiot. It forever reminds me of the love of my life that got away. Queen Live Killers was the first album I bought with my own money as a child. January 2020, two weeks before the world went to hell, I sat at a Queen concert and listened to Brian May sing this as a duet with this video of Freddie... I was crying. My friends were goofing on me... But, at the end, even Brian looked back at the video of Freddie as Freddie was taking his final bow and fading away, and wiped away a tear. So, I didn't feel bad.
The ladies mention the moment when Freddie looks at the crowd and says 'I still love you'. That reminds me of a similar moment in the video for 'These are the Days of Our Lives'. It was recorded at a time when Freddie knew his time was near and he was physically a shadow of his former self, but his voice and charisma was as strong as ever. At the end of the song, Freddie looks into the camera and says the same words: 'I still love you'. And you felt it.
This was, and will, forever be the best concert I have ever attended. I get chills every time I see this. Amazing atmosphere throughout the entire concert, Freddie was the ultimate performer #RIP
Lucky you!!! I wish I'd been old enough to go back then. I was a bit too young at 13 😕 wish I'd been born in the 60s. I missed SO much good live music.
One of the greatest frontmen of all time! This concert is so epic!! “Radio GaGa” from this concert is my favorite song by Queen, but they had so many hits. And it’s so sad what happened to Freddie, gone way too soon! 😢
While Queen was more known for their hard rocking songs, this is probably their most beautiful ballad. Great song. Also, any video with Queen performing these songs live is an absolute treat. Freddy Mercury is one of the greatest concert performers ever. I remember, in the summer of 1985, the Live Aid concert. It was the Woodstock concert of the 80's. While there were so many legendary musicians performing, Freddy Mercury and Queen's concert portion, which lasted about 20 minutes to a half hour, was so incredible and absolutely stole the overall Live Aid show. I'll never forget it.
The great frontman ever existed I got chills every time listen to it he loved so deeply mary and you can hear it in his singing full of emotions freddie's voice is outstanding such an unic person love him so very much great reaction girls ❣️❤🧡
Mary was the only one feddie trusted.....and she is the only one who has never written a book or spoken in detail about their relationship.....thats loyalty for you.....
LADIES!! WHAT A LOVELY REACTION, YOU REALLY MADE MY DAY!!💕 Maybe you already know that Mary Austin still lives in Freddie’s Garden Lodge home, which he left to her along with most of his estate… I read recently that she has never changed a single thing about how Fred had the place decorated because, she said, it’s like Freddie is still there everywhere. Mary is also the ONLY person who knows where Fred’s ashes are interred… He gave her secret instructions before he passed away, of where he wanted her to hide them so that “no one would dig him up”!🫶 Did you also know that - in every single “modern-day” tour/live show that Brian May does with “Queen + Adam Lambert” - Brian always performs THIS song as a tribute to his soul brother, Freddie: Brian always plays/sings the first part of the song himself with the help of the audience. (On the chorus, sometimes he sings “Bring HIM back” instead of “Bring it back”). THEN, thru the magic of technology, a LARGER than life Freddie walks out onstage (on a giant video screen) and Fred leads the audience thru the last chorus. I doubt there’s ever a dry eye in the house!💕 (The video footage of Fred used is from THIS performance, so I can’t help but always think of that while watching this.) There are LOTS of audience-filmed videos on YT of this tribute, as recent as just a few weeks ago. My two FAVS are… 1) The first time that Brian performed it at Madison Square Garden c.2014/2015 (he gives a longer preface than usual, talking about Freddie) AND… 2) One occasion when FREDDIE’S MUM, JER BULSARA was a special guest attending the show (so Brian dedicated the performance to her, of course)🥰
Wow that’s so beautiful! I didn’t know that Brian sings this song as a tribute to Freddie. That’s so amazing. What a great guy who deeply misses his bandmate and friend.
@@phimusic5351 😃Hi… No, I just added in Bulsara on my YT name because people who are serious fans of Freddie will recognize it as his family/birth name and ask about it… Sort of a way to see who is MORE familiar with Freddie!🖖

There's a lot of great singers throughout history, whose voices just get to you. Freddy's voice doesn't just get to you, it straight out impales you, rips out your heart and make you hold it. No matter what you've done in your life, freddy would make you remember you have a heart.

Another beautiful song by Queen is "You take my breath away". I was lucky to grow up listening to the likes of Queen and Kate Bush. And coming from Wales we regard Sir Tom Jones as royalty. ❤❤
Hi Ladies, I've been listening to Queen all my life, This is one of my all time favourite Queen songs, this was from Wembley Stadium in England from 1986, Love of my Life features on Queen's 1975 album A Night at the Opera, which features Bohemian Rhapsody!! 😀 😀 Fun fact for you ladies, Queen actually had a Christmas song called Thank God It's Christmas which was written in 1984, check that one out, you ladies will love it 😀 😀 Big Hi from Scotland 😀 😀
The Queen song days of our lives is very telling because I think it's about Freddy when he knows he's ill and dying he looks at the camera on the last line.
.... Love your reaction ----This song is amazing, im a 64'er and from Denmark, i grew up with Queen, imho it's the best liveperforming band EVER..... you loved this version,, watch the one from Rio.... it'll blow your mind
Nicely reacted. The first time I ever went to town on my own into record stores was to buy a Queen album ( sheer heart attack) a long with a deep purple’s Machine head my parents never had a quiet house for years after that haha the record store I bought them in was called Rushworth and Drapers a very grand name it was a well known. Store full of instruments and that’s what drew me in there and a record collection I didn’t know it at the time but it was made famous as it’s where The Beatles bought most of their instruments from I just thought the shop looked cool to walk around even though I couldn’t afford any of their piano haha
I would love you to to a reaction to queen playing somebody to love. Montreal 1981 I've been a huge queen fan since 1973 and being English I got to see them live many times but that version of somebody to love was just about perfect and very rarely can I say that Roger Taylor ( drummer ) stole the show during that song even with freddie at his best. Keep making the clips , love them .P.S from a little oldish guy in the UK your both gorgeous girls 😊
Freddie left Mary not only his mansion, but royalty rights and a great deal of money. Even more important, she was given his ashes and is the only person who knows what has become of them, as per Freddie's wishes.
Hi lovely ladies, I've only just discovered & subscribed your channel but I like your reactions from the 2 Queen videos I've seen so far. I love Queen, they're my favourite band they're awesome and this is one of my favourite songs & concerts of their's. It certainly is beautiful and the duet between Queen and the crowd whenever they performed this song is incredible. I highly recommend Queen's Somebody To Love live in Montreal 1981 from their concert there for you to react to please :) keep up the fantastic work.
Thank you for watching our videos James! Queen is a very special band and one of my favorites too. We will definitely check out that song from the Montreal concert. Thanks for the recommendation!
If you get emotional with this song, you would probably gush over if you take a listen to the live version of 'You Take My Breath Away'. It is just stunning! But it must be the live version from Hyde Park in 1976!
Farrokh Bulsara*, Do rest in peace my unmet friend, I spent many hours with your music that often had great meaning for me. P.S.- Brian May is my Hero ! His Dad and him as an adolescent built his own electric Guitar, and used continuously throughout the years, he is also an Astrophysicist? *-Freddies real name.
Try the British band XTC; went from proto punk to Beatles quality compositions in a long career. Every album great; anything from Skylarking or English Settlement or Black Sea, any album would be just as good. You won't have heard of them in US but over there they are seen by many fans as the perfect pop/ballad/experimental band. Dear God was their big stateside hit, very problematical for many but a brilliant video about a priest who loses his faith. The lyrics make you think and the performance by main songwriter Andy Partridge is unforgettable, whether you agree or not. So many great single and album tracks from 1978 to 2001. Just look 'em up on UA-cam. Worth your time and, like the wonderful Kate Bush, English eccentrics with talent and creativity to burn. Once you start on them...
Freddie also left Mary almost everything, she lives in his house and she is the only person who knows where his ashes are buried.
I think it’s beautiful that she kept to his wishes and has his ashes hidden. They really loved each other
She was his person.. Don't matter, she lived him and him her xxxb

"Love of my life"MARY the only woman in FREDDIE MERCURY'Slife.she had her behind him until his last breath.very closed relationship couple.

This song came from the night at the opera it was never released as a Single yet everyone knows it

His first love, was his only real love and she moved back in with him when he was diagnosed with HIV and nursed him until he died.
Have you heard the never heard before new queen Freddie song just released called 'Face it Alone'. maybe by now you have.
Mesmerising performance. Have a look on YT for the crowd at a Green day concert singing Bohemian Rhapsody, its brilliant
