Freddie was just a whole other level. He could emote whimsy, yearning, sadness and make you feel all three of those emotions at the same time. The man was a gift. Just an absolute gift to the world.
One of my favorites. This was banned on Mtv in the 80s and being a huge Queen fan had never seen or heard it thanks to stupidity. That little quick double step Freddie does every time he enters a room was his own idea Brian said. I still remember where I was when they announced Freddies death on the radio. Was in the car headed to the mall for a day of shopping with my wife. I was like 22. I was a huge Queen fan. As a young teen I collected their Queen trading cards in the early 80s. I wish I still had those.
I had to go away and look this up. As a British lad, the idea this was the CONTROVERSIAL track broke my brain. It's only recently that our conservatives started attacking drag queens openly, and Queen once promoted another of their singles with a nude bicycle race accross southern England. What the hell, America?
Those were conservative times in The Land of the Free. Disco had come to an end with the 'Disco Demolition Night' in 1979. Disco having had origins in the African-American and Latin American music, and in gay culture. John Lennon was killed in 1980. Ronald Reagan had come to power in 1981. To make things even more queer, Freddie Mercury had taken influence to his looks from Finnish artist Touko "Tom of Finland" Laaksonen's art. He himself had moved to the US in 1956 to find a more liberal society to live and be an artist in. He had received a Medal of Freedom in the Finnish army during the WW2, personally from Gustaf Mannerheim, Marshal of Finland. Mannerheim has been voted several times as the greatest Finn ever. His sexual orientation has been debated, and it's said that his career as a cadets ended for that reason in 1886. Both, Mannerheim and Laaksonen, were into uniforms.
I have been thinking of Freddie. He would have turned 78 on 9/5 so I've been watching Barcelona & the documentary of it. Queen was my first two 45s that I owned. A Queen 👸 listening to Queen 🇬🇧 🔥
My favourite track when I was getting divorced, I was falling in love with freedom, I had to break free. Followed and loved this band early 70s.
That's true 😁 Her majesty Queen never dissapoints , one of my favorite musical rock band of all time , even this year calendar of mine is based on Queen 1980 legendary album The Game ❤ month like September symbolizes an image of Queen song I Want To Break Free ❤❤❤ after this cool and amazing song , can you please make a reaction to the another powerful Queen song like Another One Bites The Dust as a live version ❤ let's continue together this amazing musical journey of her majesty Queen ❤❤❤❤
Great reaction Aileen definitely got to find you that skirt it would be so cute on you 🫶
pretty sure Freddie would've loved (and likely got alot of) that "I need that skirt" comment.

Don't ever say that to him he hates it so much. He thinks in his mind he looks hard.
Roger looks frighteningly attractive in drag, and I say this as a very comfortable heterosexual man lol
When I was a kid when this came out I thought he was a girl 😂😂
He is beautiful and pretty good legs
Your video reaction so sincere and kind keep up with your kindness and joyful video your a diamond 💎 god bless ❤️
Save Me, The Game, Sail Away Sweet Sister, Tie Your Mother Down, and Bicycle Race are needed reactions by you Aileen Senpai...😀😀
Loving your Queen reactions Aileen! I'd love to see a reaction to Freddie's solo song 'In My Defence.' It's such a powerful song and in my mind truly defines who he was, would recommend it 100% Much love. :)
GREAT SONG CHOICE TO REACT AILEEN
I love that you react to the radio hits from later Queen music, yet I'd love to see your response to early Queen. White Queen would be a good start to see where they were before they started playing pop-rock. Check Queen, Queen II, and Sheer Heart Attack. Those albums are amazing. 😊
love it, first thing she says ''those are very pointy'' :')
Queen princes of the universe Highlander soundtrack!
To me, this video is Freddie at his best. Here we really see the showman
The world needed a video of Freddie and Tim Curry in a drag duel/duet.

Love your videos
I think you should check out Elton John & Axl Rose covering Bohemian Rhapsody from the Freddie Mercury tribute concert! I absolutely love it!
I don’t think I see it on your Queen playlist. But you should definitely react to somebody to Love live in Montreal 1981. I promise it won’t disappoint. There are also so many others. I think you would love.
Queen rocks
ailee love you
Roger! Woof!

Just to make sure, I would like to see you in the outfit Freddie was wearing. 😉
