Based on the CM Punk interview with Ariel, it sounds like some talent only want to show up once, do a match or film vignettes then sit at home for 4 weeks. Not all of them, but some of them. And Tony will cater to them. So that may be why some talent aren’t being used regularly. My thoughts

AEW already became an afterthought with Mania coming near and having people bury them even further made them worse off.

Another thing to remember is the NBA rights deal is up this year too. That is priority #1 for Turner. How much money is left for a wrestling show after they do that deal.....AND they're still nearly 50 billion in debt.
I'm not saying they don't get a deal, but it's hard to see them getting a significant bump

1. Their success is not more important than your content, the worst AEW gets the more views you will get.
2. I can guarantee Tony Khan, and probably a lot of AEW wrestlers were fans of Disco Inferno because he was a tremendous worker, the hate came when they “hero” turned they back on them.
3. I wouldn’t be surprised if his father told him not to reach out to people in the industry for help, because they call him a money mark to his face.
