@@DrSpoculusfinances I couldn’t give a shit about, but Ratings are a measure of how successful and popular the product is - as are social media numbers with UA-cam views and attendances. @NJTRAF Simple question for you.... WHAT are they going to replace AEW with that gets those ratings in that time slot on a weekly basis? Comparing ratings between two wrestling shows is irrelevant. Fans really aren't as smart as Jim Cornette makes them feel they are.

Where the hell you come up with this 50m rating nonsense is beyond me, they only need to draw 600k or more to be more successful than AEW on a Wednesday, and more than 300k to be more than AEW on a Saturday. Big Bang Theory currently averages just under 800k, so reruns of that show are a bigger draw than AEW Dynamite. They could quite literally fill those 2hrs with more Big Bang Theory and get more viewers. Modern Family averages just under 300k. Young Sheldon averages just under 700k. They could quite easily replace AEW and draw more of the same viewers as they currently get. The one advantage AEW has over those shows is the POTENTIAL to gain more viewers. Dynamite is potentially a 1m viewer show, they’ve (inconsistently) hit 1m viewers now and then from 2019-2021, maybe 8 times? And averaged between 800k-900k… so AEW is obviously a risk/reward show. The risk that WBD take on with them is that they continue the downward trend from 1m to currently average under 600k and drop to 500k or below… but the reward is that they somehow turn things around and get back up to that 800k+ average viewership.

Honestly, podcasters and fans dont get it. I'll explain it very simply so all the smart marks can understand. AEW draws a 2.5 rating. The next best alternative the network can run for that slot would bring in a 1.5 rating. WHERE ARE THE MYTHICAL 50 MILLION VIEWER SHOWS THAT WOULD REPLACE AEW IN THAT SLOT? Who gives a fuck if the ratings drop? The network doesn't. BECAUSE AEW IS STILL THE BEST OPTION FOR THE SLOT. That’s probably because they know it’s true, no matter what Uncle Dave or anyone else tries to say, since Tony’s dad gifted him $100 million to begin with so he could start AEW, making his childhood fantasy come true of owning and booking his own wrestling promotion come to life.

Yeah, it comes off as generic, although they are trying to do something which I appreciate. At least throwing on images of Disco, Konnan and Eric etc. would make it better, or take it a step further and make the AI keyboard warrior one of those people, like Disco or Eric typing furiously.
@@gimmiebackmybike1831 This time. I missed a few previous
So you're complaint is that you're too dumb to set the notifications?
@@HughezyEntertainment Because those are so reliable 😂
Did eric say dave is a good writer? 😂😂😂😂😂
The only metric aew is successful at is talent is making WAY more money than they're worth.🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
People need to stop with they are the number 1 show on cable no they are not.
Metlzer said that they were number 1 on cable for Christmas apart from real sports and every single Christmas themed show that was on TV.
He ended 2024 with his worst reach for a W ever.
@ yeah goalpost moving at it finest. Heck WWE is not even number 1 on cable. There is a big world outside the wrestling bubble
@@bsharp1981 and that's why Disco is constantly calling Meltzer out on Twitter.
@ and yet people online still want to believe Metlzer. Logical it makes no sense
Quit quoting him
whats up with all the AI thumbnails? Are you guys struggling to find artists to help out? why are so many videos of yours using AI thumbs now?
Remnant...like fecal.
Am so over wrestling media as a whole , it just so much so much negativity across the board now .
He’s terrible with grammar and writing!! Don’t let him write any obit.
Disco bothers me. He always interrupts everyone, let people talk
Dave meltzer is a clown sometimes. But so are these guys also
I’m sorry but that’s giving aew fans to much credit. They look way worse then this😂
Honestly, podcasters and fans dont get it.
All the know-it-all podcasters like Bischoff, Cornette, K100... they have zero idea about how this stuff actually works and how networks make decisions.
But keep blowing them. Gawk gawk gawk all over their failed companies that didn't last as long as AEW has lasted.
How tf can they profess to be sages of wrestling business when they all failed?
Gawk gawk gawk. Slob all over those idiot podcasters. 😅
The thing is Meltzer wishes he could have been a wrestler but he's a high functioning atist and wasted his time behind a keyboard and watching obscure Japanese tapes instead of training.
The only people who care about that Dave Meltzer thinks are the biggest marks alive. Not just nerds but legit socially awkward weirdos. This is what AEW fans are, this is what Tony Khan is.
If you like AEW there's something wrong with you and that's that. Deal with it and move on.
After AEW got their new tv deal, the almighty voice of wisdom and knowledge that he thinks he is, Uncle Dave said some shit on WOR about it like “Well, now that Tony got this tv deal, these clowns who have been calling him Money Mark for years can’t call him that anymore” or some ignorant and delusional comment like that.
Which is fucking hilarious hearing Uncle Dave call the podcasters who criticize Tony or AEW “clowns”, when nobody gets mocked, ridiculed and laughed more than anyone else in the wrestling business today than him. As a big NJPW fan, which is the only wrestling I still watch nowadays, even though I have to admit that it’s very sad to see how far it’s dropped over the last 5 years.
But it was absolutely fucking hilarious to hear Chris Charlton, who is a commentator on the NJPW World broadcasts, calling Tony a “money mark” during the Wrestle Dynasty show the other night p, which has apparently made some in AEW mad. That’s probably because they know it’s true, no matter what Uncle Dave or anyone else tries to say, since Tony’s dad gifted him $100 million to begin with so he could start AEW, making his childhood fantasy come true of owning and booking his own wrestling promotion come to life.
