@@judshuttie70 By the US law, but in UK they have their own CCTV laws. For starters, you can't publish a footage like this where person can be identified without permission. Breach of that can actually result in criminal charges in extreme cases.

CCTV operators can't share footage of identifiable people with the media or on the internet for entertainment purposes, which is literally what they did, although I don't know if they would be the operator in that case, but still they went overboard. Not sure how it ties to Uk's data protection act. This act actually does state that you can't obtain, disclose or procure personal data without the consent of the data controller. And breach of that is actually considered criminal offence. And they apparently are serious about those data protection laws in Uk.

The main reason why i stopped and never went back to watching aew is because their entire "identity" is taking "shots" at competitors. Theres legit more thought on how they can mention other companies and wrestlers than in the booking and it truly shows.

AEW is far from elite when for 5 years straight we get Young Bucks vs Best Friends for the Heavyweight Tag Team championship. There's a very good reason ratings are falling and it's because The Bucks and Jericho are influencing Khan to work them and their friends in every major angle

YES.. Literally AEW was born from the hatred of WWE.. Also let's not try to ignore the fact that 2021 to now, the WWE started getting better especially starting with Roman and the Bloodline stories. Hell even 2020, the thunderdome and cinematic wrestlemania. And REALLY, AEW couldn't keep anything going.
You know at first, when CM Punk was in AEW, I was a bit disappointed with his behavior, especially at the press conference. But overtime you start realize that he was telling us the truth about how much of a literal joke this company is. And these past few months definitely demonstrated that. Tony’s coke rants on Twitter, and making Edge look like a fool was bad enough, but this right here is the nail in the coffin.

AEW has all the potential in the world, but it's failing because Tony Khan treats it as a passion project with his own vision, rather than running a profitable business. Tons of talent on that roster and now it feels like Tony and the Bucks are jeopardizing all of them too

What’s crazy to me is how it seemed AEW was reinvigorating itself. Within a couple of weeks they:
-Signed Osprey and Okada. Two of the hottest wrestlers today
-Signed Mercedes Moné. A woman who could help improve the Women’s division
-Had Edge become TNT champion. Who has been a fun one so far with the open challenges.
-Gave Swerve the title push that fans wanted
Yet instead if Tony to capitalize off that he instead used one of the most controversial moments without the company and included a wrestler who’s not even with the company for ratings

This situation reminds me of the incident between the Dynamite Kid and Jacques Rougeau. The difference there was that Vince stepped in before things really got out of hand. After Dynamite attacked Jacques, he tried to put and end to the situation, the the Rougeaus peeped-game and got their come back in before Vince could stop them.
There are some similarities between how Vince handled that situation and how Tony handled this one, but he just wasn't assertive enough and that is the catch-2 of trying to be everyone's pal. You can't do that as the boss. When it comes time to lay down the law, the people don't look at you as their boss, they look at you as their equal and don't respect your authority.

AEW is basically just “The Tony Khan and Friends Fun Time.” It’s not a business, it’s not run like a business, they don’t treat it like a business. They perform in half filled arenas week in and week out but constantly ignore that fact and instead focus on getting a five star match rating from Dave Meltzer. What was at one time considered an alternative to WWE can’t even be taken seriously anymore. It’s a clown show through and through. What’s worse is that AEW fans defend it like there’s not a single problem with it in the world. Tony Khan sucks, and the Young Bucks suck. And until those guys are gone and somebody serious is at the helm to turn things around, AEW is going to suck.
Osprey really just showed his insecurities. Heard HHH’s comments, immediately knew it was about him and took it to heart.
If he was as good as indie marks say he is, he would’ve let that roll off his shoulders and made HHH eat his words. Show it in the ring and on the mic, become a massive star to the mainstream audience and elevating AEW.

I honestly love how when AEW started there were little digs and shots fired at WWE repeatedly and most of the time the people in WWE just ignored it but now when WWE starts doing the exact same thing the people at AEW start throwing little tantrums and trying and failing to get one up
I don't want them to die but at this point, It wouldn't worry me if another prospective brand took their place and they faded into the background. I'm not talking about WWE, my hope is another company emerges with competent management behind it because the fact is......things will never change with both Tony and the Bucks behind the wheel.
I've given up on this company until REAL change happens and I just don't see that on the horizon, unfortunately. Maybe a miracle will appear and I will be proven wrong.

The problem with AEW IS Tony Khan, replace him with someone with a solid backbone and cares about ratings, then the company can do wonders.
It's laughable to me when companies with legal departments decide that breaking the law, (see Fair Use), by taking down review type videos. Fair Use just isn't an excuse, it's part of US copyright law, and is a valid legal argument. So legally speaking, any company that does that are breaking US law. At least in my layman's brain.

It was also filmed in UK and the CCTV footage belongs to the Stadium not AEW or Tony. And if memory serves me right before footage can be released or shown all parties in said footage must sign a release. Which means Phil can sue in a UK court
