I normally do not like bawdy comedies. Yet, somehow this move just works. Ted 2 does not disappoint.

If this happened in real life many people would assume Ted was possessed by a demon even if he was acting nice. No way the parents would trust him in their house. The government would eventually swoop in and do experiments to unlock the supernatural secrets of Ted.🧸

45 seconds in and I'm already laughing because "underground boxing clubs" Edward Norton starved himself, avoided light, and didn't work out at all so his character would look more sickly and weak as the movie progresses, while Brad Pitt ate healthy, worked out, and got lots of sun so Tyler would grow bigger and healthier, indicating the Tyler personality growing stronger and taking over. And the "grade school" line was actually a replacement. The original line was "I want to have your abortion" but the censors said absolutely not. So Fincher said he'd change the line on the stipulation the replacement couldn't be rejected. Every scene has a Starbucks cup, representing how the coffee chain has covered the country. Though the theories of Marla not being real were denied. The only split was Narrator and Tyler. And at the end, he DID survive. But the Tyler personality died because the act of shooting into his own mouth was the decision to take his life into his own hands.

The goal wasn't just to beat Daniel, but to humiliate him, hurt him physically and mentally, and to drive a wedge between Daniel and Miyagi.

It seems almost criminal now but I've heard those who planned it arranged to have a high percentage of troops fresh out of basic training in the first wave. At the time it made sense. They knew the first wave was going to take staggering losses. Survival was going to be a matter of luck rather than skill or experience. The combat veterans would be needed in the later waves to move inland after the beachhead was established.

Saw this when I was 13 with my parents, cause they were Mel Brooks fans, and you couldn't get into an R rated movie without a parent under 17. When Jim spoke in falsetto after taking a hit from Bart's j........um.....we all know what it was.....jeeez. Someone in our audience yelled "Good sh-t". Even my parents laughed with everyone else. Ahh, the good ole days when America still had a sense of tolerance and humor. Just watch all the Don Rickles, Dean Martin roasts vids. That was my teen era. George Carlin, Cheech n Chong, Benny Hill, Monty Python, etc. Today I'm scared to go outside and talk freely.......... That right so many gave their lives in world wars for. Any way.................. love your reaction........love this movie and all who were in it.

Remember, this movie was released only 6 years after Jim Crow laws were officially outlawed.

You seem to forget that this was in 1976... Converse WERE the best sports shoes out there, even into the mid 1980's players in the NBA were wearing them. There were other brands around, such as NIKE, but either due to marketing and/or having similar or worse cushioning than Converse, they were not as popular. I'm 60 years old, and I think most of the kids in my high school wore Converse in that era...with some where KEDS, or cowboy boots...lol (Idaho).

The moment when Gus decided that he wants to kill Walt and therefore making eventually Walt kill him was when Walt saved Jessie by killing dealers who were just about to kill Jessie. The car crash is strangely hilarious in hindsight, in addition to the connection to the narrator ('Jack') being a crash inspector. The whole time Jack is arguing with himself, but Self-portrait and Build-a-house only respond to Jack's questions not Tyler's, like he's doing another voice 🤣🤣🤣 I would love to see Norton doing both parts of that scene. Also, Tyler pulls Jack out of the drivers window 😉

Anything by Mel Brooks will have you laughing. Young Frankenstein is probably his greatest work, again with Gene. Mel Brooks' films after Blazing Saddles are more direct parodies, Young Frankenstein included. High Anxiety is a parody of Vertigo, with other Hitchcock jokes Spaceballs is a parody of Star Wars and other sci-fi Robin Hood:Men In Tights is a parody of Prince Of Thieves, with nods to the classic Robin Hoods Dracula: Dead and Loving It is a parody of the Dracula story in general, with specific jokes from the 90's Bram Stoker's Dracula as well as some of the older Dracs like Christopher Lee & Bela Lugosi

2:36 Little or no seniors will watch that at that time, and they are the firm's target audience. Seniors are known to go to bed early. Jimmy knew to air his commercial in the daytime, during a rerun of Murder, She Wrote, on the channel showing it. As a child, while watching kids' shows, I saw a lot of commercials that were designed to appeal to children.

You nailed it with the cupholder metaphor. Instead of fitting in, Jimmy is gonna try to make Davis & Main work _for him._ There are tons of metaphors/analogies/cinematic allegories in this show that eluded me in my first (and even second) watches, but they're always fun when you find them.
