If you remember 2nd to last epi, while waiting for new i.d.'s Saul yells I'm not your lawyer anymore, I'm no one's lawyer. I'll be lucky to manage a Cinnabon in 2 years
Amazing spinoff. It never really gained the mainstream following that BrBa had towards the end of its run, but there are a lot of things about it that are better. Though it _did_ keep a loyal following of viewers that swear on its greatness, I think it didn't explode in ratings like the first show because it's ultimately lower stakes (less guns, explosions, killing, etc.) and has fewer crazy life-or-death scenarios, but the character writing is just as good if not better, and the themes, characters, and cinematography are all still insanely good. Ultimately, choosing a favorite would be like choosing between my own children. They're both some of the best TV series' ever created.
Stick to this show and hold it close, it may be slow and I know many who’ve dropped it due to the slow pace in early seasons, Better Call Saul may be less exciting and that violent (it still very much is! ( _No Spoilers_ ))Trust me when I say that I personally say BCS > BB and you can really see the changes in cinematography in the progression of the show. It’s a must watch, like all of Vince’s work. I love your commentary as well, a lot more toned down and analytical.
@@BillyBongThe creators pay so much attention to details, and sometimes it's hard to pick everything up (especially if you're not paying full attention). I've seen the show three times and I've found things I hadn't seen every time.
@6alcantara yea I always catch things on the rewatch but some of the things missed I am shocked by. 3 top misses is this, Ken wins and Francesca. How does anyone not recognize Francesca?
@@sallyatticumI'm wondering if you had a chance to start watching Sopranos yet? It is arguably the best TV show ever created. Also, Vince Gilligan was a huge fan of the Sopranos and you can see why after watching it.
Yes... it very much snows in Nebraska. It ALSO snows in Albuquerque interesting enough. In fact in snows in EVERY U.S. state :) Except would be pretty rare in a few. But EVERY year it snows in Nebraska. They have regular Northern Hemisphere Winter there.
I’m so excited for these reactions! I remember being absolutely SHOOK when Tuco was revealed at the very end, very clever not to include Raymond Cruz’s name in the opening credits and save it for the end credits; if there’s ever a Breaking Bad character included in an episode, you never expect it because they’re not in the opening credits 😉. There will be many Breaking Bad connections and Easter Eggs (like the nail salon) throughout the show. The original characters are so good as well, you’re going to absolutely love certain new faces throughout the show. Remember that smoking scene with Jimmy/Saul and his friend, who by now you know as Kim 😊 just remember it, trust me.
Yet another great reaction, Andrea. Don't you recall me saying you should remember Saul's comment from 'Breaking Bad', that he'd be lucky to be a manager of a Cinnabon in Omaha, Nebraska?
Be advised - in the first couple of seasons of this show, it's harder to make a Breaking Bad connection. But in the final seasons, it's basically the same show. Be patient! ...Love your reactions :)
Thank you for going straight into Call Saul after finishing Breaking Bad. I was afraid you would go onto something else, as most other tubers have done.
In the end of Breaking Bad Saul says “Best case scenario I’m managing a Cinnabon in Omaha”. Not sure if that is where he is but there are a lot of BB call backs
I love that the captions writer didnt know to capitalize "Network"... as in the title of the Ned Beatty movie Jimmy quoted. That makes me "mad as hell and im not gonna take this anymore"... ok not really, just wanted to work in the quote 😂
@@kai_masters It’s a great movie! It was actually made into a stage play that starred the one and only Heisenberg aka Bryan Cranston! He won his second Tony Award for his performance in that play on Broadway!
Others I think have said this, but there is a bit of slowness early on in BCS - a little bit too many seemingly tangential story lines, for my taste - but it gets good in a hurry and by the last few seasons - wow.
It wasn't Mrs. Kettleman that hit and run, it was Tuco's grandmother, Jimmy sees the beat up windshield when he gets to her place. Good stuff as always, thanks for making these :)
Red corpuscles = what they used to call red blood cells. Attorneys are officers of the court. Saul's current practice here is eerily reminiscent of my early days as a solo attorney after I got laid off from a downtown four-partner firm similar to HHM.

He doesn't yell.

BCS is definitely a very intellectual show!

Greatest show of all time. It's sauling time
definitely not the greatest, one of the best for sure, but not the greatest by a long shot
It’s only as good as it is because of the nostalgia
Depends what you like, I could say the Simpsons is the best thing on TV ever, personal choice
Cinnabon in Omaha . He said in BrBa
So many people don't remember the little things.

Andrea, beware of spoilers in the comments. One episode in and they already spoiling stuff.
I am so excited your starting BCS. You are going to love it like you wont believe!
Can’t wait for all the reactions to this series!!!! love it just as much as breaking bad if not a little more :)
I really underestimated this show, I thought it was just a cash grab, but turn out to be my favorite. even better than brba
