Multiple easter eggs from Breaking Bad in this one: The guy in the bar is "Ken Wins" that Walt blew up his car. Zafiro Anejo is the expensive tequila Gus used to poison the Cartel. The cop is the same that showed up when Skyle called the police on Walt.
I didn’t recognize the cop but the tequila brand sounded familiar!
The guy they scammed was the same jerk whose car Walter White blew up at the gas station.
I realized that afterwards. I love how the show brings back minor characters from BB!
You have sharp eyes
Kenwins
@@delerium101 What is Kenwins.?
@@fannybuster the plate on his car
Hindenberg was a blimp that burned up, killing it's passengers. The Andrea Doria was a cruise ship that got stuck and sunk.
The reason you recognize that investor that Jimmy and Kim played was because he was in Breaking Bad. He was the guy Walter saw in a gas station that drove a BMW. Walt walked over and shorted his battery catching the whole car on fire. I believe his plates said something like "I Win."
Almost, his plate said "Ken Wins"
@@petertoth3477 Thank you. I couldn't remember that far back. You're right it did say that.
Another great reaction, Andrea.
Cast your mind back to Season One, when Jimmy had rented that very large office space, and was thinking of giving Kim the corner office if she became his law partner. That's when he said he wanted a cocobolo desk. He also said he didn't know what one was, he just liked the name. The office deal fell through in the end as he had to give the money back to the Kettlemans.
Also, did you recognise the Tequila they were drinking as they scammed Ken (the loudmouth from 'Breaking Bad' (BB), whose car Walter set on fire)? It was the same (fictitious) brand Gus used in BB to poison the members of the cartel, Zafiro Añejo. They also showed the cork from the bottle, a rather ornate looking thing. It looks like a part of the back of a porcupine, all bristles. Keep it in mind for later in the show.
Lots of callbacks in this one!
@@kai_masters And throughout all six Seasons, too. :-)
Charlie Hustle was a baseball player on the REDS named PETE ROSE he was a hall of famer that was cheated out of it for betting on a game.
I've heard the name but didn't know the story.
Lot of Trivia's so I better get started:
Better Call Saul is one of few shows which is actually an Prequel & Sequel at the same time!
Black & White is an present timeline after the events of Breaking Bad, every 1st episode of new season shows glimpse of whats happening presently & it continues until last season!
Also, when Jimmy was Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad his infamous office had "Cocobolo" Desk
This Trivia is something that show doesn't explain but apparently it's common knowledge among big law firms in real life (remember not all firms do this)
That "Don't press this button" is a test that Clifford Maine put just to understand whether Jimmy follows rules or not, Pressing that button activates some kind of small light or silent alarm that only Clifford Maine will know whether the new employee follows rules or he is eccentric!
I don’t remember the cocobolo desk from BB but I did realize that the black and white scenes are a future timeline. If the light switch was a test, than Jimmy failed right away 😬
Great stuff :) I don't remember if the show has already mentioned it at this point, but Cinnabon Jimmy's name is Gene. Can't wait to see your reaction to all the craziness ahead!
I’m not sure if his name was mentioned but now I know. Thank you 😊
@@kai_masters In the season one opener when it first shows him at Cinnabon, his name tag says, "Gene - Manager".
Horrible Bosses😂
14:11 You should recognize one of these officers
Tbf it's such a minor character that I didn't recognize him even after a second watch, I only realized he was in Breaking Bad after browsing the wiki.
i think Nacho came to get his money back and maybe some free pills
2:09 No. But he does get locked IN
SG. What do you think that stands for? Selena Gomez? Seth Green? Sara Gilbert?
🤷♀️
I see what you did there.
Simon & Garfunkel?
Good season opener. 👍Answered any lingering questions from the finale then right into it!

4:55 Yes, that’s their scamming song. Smoke on the Water.🎵🎸
I never thought it was the pills in the hiding place but could have been. I figured he was just stealing what he needed to sell so no need for ‘stock on hand’. But he seemed pretty intense about his baseball card collection so that would be a good hiding place.
@@jmo3457 I think it was the money from his drug deals
Why is that garbage room locked from the inside? What a stupid design
Yeah that makes no sense!
