Not only did Mike pretend to be drunk, he wanted Hoffman and fenske to take his gun, which is why he purposely had no bullets in it. The empty gun Hoffman fired was the gun he took from Mike. .
The first time i saw this, Mike's first "i broke ma boy" got me like: 😟 BUT THE SECOND ONE IS SO MUCH POWERFUL it lit got me going: ouch... 🤧😭😭😭 So real, remarcable iterpretation and especially cus of one of the character's first emotional exposure which is full cotrary to what we knew about him, but they made it work perfextly , BCS really got him a great background and made him so much more mutidimetional. Talk about made for the part. Creators said initially her daughter in law was scripted as his daughter, but it was the actor who said "she (Kaylee) might be my grand daughter, but she (Stacey) is not my daughter" and something in the line of Mike loosing his soul cus of something to do with his son. As we see they took him seriously on the script of BCS and it payed off big time in my opinion 👏👏👏
My favorite thing Mike Ehrmantraut has ever said: "You know what a cop fears most? More than getting shot, more than anything? Prison. Getting locked up with everybody you put away. You threaten a cop with that, you make him dangerous."
Where I live law enforcement can arrest you for being drunk in public and take you home or to a drunk tank and if someone is arrested for being drunk in public it won’t go on their criminal record now if someone is arrested for doing some stupid like getting in a fight or drinking and driving they the arrest will go on you criminal record
Yet another excellent reaction, Andrea. :-) Cast your mind back to the previous episode, when Jimmy was considering entering 'Elder Law'. We were shown him watching a TV programme, which gave him the idea to buy a white suite. That was an episode of 'Matlock', a TV series broadcast in the late 1980s and early '90s, about a lawyer called by that name. That is why one of the cops said to Jimmy in this episode 'You look like Matlock!'. I also think you missed a significant piece of information. We were told (by the daughter-in-law) that Hoffman and Fensky turned up dead 6 months _after_ Matty was killed, which meant that, in the Philly flashback, Mike couldn't have been trying to save his son, contrary to what you seem to believe, he was executing revenge for Matty's murder.
I think my prediction about Mike saving his son came before that information was revealed but I could be wrong. In any case, I was just spitballing at that point :)
@@kai_masters In fact, Andrea, you seemed to still believe that after the 6 months revelation (as you will see if you go back and check -- when I get a chance later, I'll post the exact timestamp), and that is what prompted me to post that earlier comment. :-)
@@kai_masters Ok, at 09:41 Mike's daughter-n-law tells us that Hoffman and Fensky were killed 6 months after Matty was murdered, but at 11:06 you were still wondering if the flashback to Philly pictured the night Matty was killed, and Mike was going to try to protect him from Hoffman and Fensky. That is why I posted the above comment.
Hahaa came back to check for new episode 😅🫶🏼♥️, also waiting for new episode I rewatched the breaking bad all season with u ! Lol the reaction were awesome thanks for it ! Really felt the company ❤
One of the best episodes, definitely the best of the first season
Agreed! 👍
I’d say personally Episode 9 is a little better but it’s real close

Mike is brilliant!
That's also why he broke into the car before going inside the bar, to plant a loaded gun in the seat for him to actually use in the shootout.
Kepep an eye on the Vet, he is a niche side character
10:32 back in Philadelphia born and raised. At the cop bar was where Mike spent most of his days.
What the hell is that? What’s “hmmhmnhm”?
You know what “hmmmhmhmhm” is. The question is, can you live with it?

I love how this show reinterprets some of the events from Breaking Bad!

That’s a good one. Mike has some amazing speeches!
Best show and the best reaction channel
Appreciate the kind words 😊
Mike is, believe it or not, somewhat taciturn.
I definitely got that impression! That being said, I particularly love his "here's what going to happen" speeches!
His dancing eyes and bon vivant personality fooled me 😃
Pfison is very scary
I get this. It was only on screen for a second or two lol. Lots of typos in the CC
This episode and episode 9 made me believe that , this is gonna be just as great as Breaking Bad
So far I’m loving it!

Interesting distinction!

"I broke my boy" ...damn, it still gets to me 😪
It was such a sad scene 😭
When Mike yelled "He wasnt Dirty!!" Thats when I knew the soul of this show still was there.
Not sure I follow you...
@@RosaLichtenstein01 after I finished Breaking Bad. I was skeptical about this show. And didn't watch it for a couple days after.
@@vickybruh7412 Ok, but I still don't follow your earlier comment.
@@RosaLichtenstein01 which part?
@@vickybruh7412 Ths: "the soul of this show still was there." What does that mean?
