I love Dorothy Morrison… I bought “In Praise of the Crone” when it came out new…. It has guided me and gotten me through for years…I was pushed into menopause due to a medical procedure in 2003 at the age of 47 and I was so grateful to have had it on my shelf. Now a senior crone, I’m grounded and content in my own skin as well as my spiritual framework. I’ve been practicing and studying since the early 70’s …finding my way in and out of the crevices…and probably will forever….the learning never stops. 🧙🏻

I travel to Chesterfield from Sheffield at least twice a month and have never heard of this shop. Next time I’m there I’ll definitely try and find it.

I love the authenticity of this video. Others have shown their used (I refuse to say messy cause of connotation and The Craft is naturally a messy practise) altars, but I can only think of one person that shared their cleaning process. It's good to normalise these things. Also love how you both physically and spiritually clean which I don't see a lot of people do either.

I don't consider myself Wiccan, but that particular book with its pretty green cover will always have a special place in my heart. I'm reading Deborah Blake's The Goddess is in the Details right now. Lovely bits of everyday wisdom. I'm interested now in checking out Kate West.

I loved Curious Goods when I lived in Chesterfield and they were really nice when I was looking for items to remember our dog after he passed away in 2018. (It was this video popping up on my timeline that grabbed my attention to give your channel a follow.)

Hello Alison, how lovely your altar looks!!! Beautiful , I particularly like your stick pentagram, I made myself some smaller ones and tied ribbons on and crystals and various charms 🍄

After watching your video, I decided to visit the crystal shop near me! I bought a strawberry and a rose quartz chip bracelets, a picture jasper bracelet a a box of white save incense sticks. I haven't seen this particular variety before, they are much thicker than the usual ones and burn for two hours. They are Namaste India natural white sage and smell absolutely gorgeous! I'm definitely going to try the other fragrances too.

I enjoyed this video so much I watched it again before I went to bed! You asked about pendulums. I have a pendulum made if lapis lazuli that I've had for nearly 15 years, I believe it chose me. I don't even have to try with it, it just answers me without effort on my part. Other pendulums work well for me too, but not as good as the lapis lazuli one. The advice I can give is that the yes/no directions are not always the same for all pendulums. You have to ask it questions you already know the answer to and see which way it swings, or sometimes it might go in a circle for yes/no. Ask it some questions you already know the yes and no answers to, see if that helps.❤ Of course you may have already tried that, so in that case I would advise trying different pendulums, using the same process. Please let us know how it goes!😊

I used to live in Chesterfield (we moved to Durham last year) and I have noticed since 2018 how the seasons are out of wack - We had the bad snow storm in February that year and then there was the heat wave that lasted all summer. The climate has been quite unstable for some time. Over the winter in Durham, we didn't get the cold weather that I expected we would - as we are further north, I would have expected it to be colder, but I don't know enough about the local climate to tell what is normal for the summer and we are influenced by the coast. During the last few years of living in Chesterfield, I noticed that many of the plants were growing out of season, flowers that should have been around in spring and summer were around in late autumn, hedgehogs being out of hibernation in winter when they should have been asleep and trees losing their leaves early because of the summer heat. It's been troublesome for some time.

I would go *berserk* in this shop!! What a stunning job they have done in putting this shop together - spectacular! I cannot get over the prices! Now, I am in the states and of course everything is just *STUPID* expensive here. I saw in this video, one of the amethyst geodes - a large one for 195 (about $250 dollars) -- seriously that piece would be impossible to find anywhere in the States for less than $600. If I were to visit at any point - even at a bit of a distance, I would absolutely visit this wonderful shop. Thanks for sharing it!

This is lovely and I can imagine how much fun you have coming in and browsing/shopping on a regular basis! This reminds me of some of the shops in Salem, MA, which is not far from me. Some stores are specialty stores, but others are a conglomerate of all kinds of things and it is so much fun to pick things out instead of, like you said, cooly ordering online. Thanks for sharing!!
